Departure at 8:00 am We will arrive at around 9.30am in order to take the shuttle which will drop us at the foot of the Mont. We will visit the medieval village before going to the Abbey which overlooks the bay. Watch out for the breathtaking view! At the end of the visit, we offer you free time so that you can eat and fully enjoy the Mont for two hours before back to Bayeux An experience not to be missed!

Kate was our guide and she was amazing. Her passion and expertise showed through during the entire trip. She shared historical information in a very personal way along with explaining the buss loads of kids field trips where many of them walked 2 hrs back to shore from the island. Fascinating! We were also very taken by the attentiveness of the school kids to their instructors, impressive. A tour you need to have in the bucket list!

This was a great and informative excursion to a majestic and magical place whose existence defies logic and gravity. Our guide David was spectacular, making the trip that much better. His unique perspective, extensive knowledge, and considerable made the Mont Saint Michel experience quite memorable, indeed.
Our guide, Elise, was wonderful. She was very knowledgeable, friendly, and did a great job moving our tour through a very crowded location. The only challenge was that after the tour of the abbey was complete, there was limited time in the town - another 45 minutes to an hour of free time would have made it a more enjoyable trip.
The tour guide did a superb job. She actually grew up in Bayoux. Her great grandfather was captured by the German and spent five years in a concentration camp.
The guide was fantastic! She shared historical information pertinent to our understanding of the area of Bayeux as well as information about Mont St. Michelle. She paced the tour to accommodate all in the tour. She was very flexible and welcomed questions. We would definitely recommend this tour and guide.

Elise did a wonderful job leading us through Mont St Michelle. There were only 8 people in our group which made it easy to hear our guide and really understand the history of this famous site. It was a great day and we highly recommend this tour.

This experience could have been so much better had the guide realized who he was dealing with. We were not in our 30's or 40's. Two of the group were in their 50's, two were 65 and two were 78. Yet Johan flew through the walking part like he had a hot date waiting for him. Example; we had just entered the walled city, walking up an inclined walkway when our guide stopped, looked at a hole in the wall to his left and started up a crevice in the wall. I say crevice because it was about 18 inches wide. Some of us had to turn sideways and go up the steps sideways with our chests and backs brushing the walls some 20 steps and then scramble another 30 steps till he stopped to share some photos. Other than driving us to and from Mont St. Michel without any introduction or review, Johan spent all of 90 minutes with us. He gave us the tickets needed to climb to the abbey and left. We met back at the bus station and walked back to our van. Then we raced back to Bayeux at break-neck speed, he got out, shook our hands, pleased to meet you and that was it.
We did the all-day tour of Mont Saint Michel with Jean of Overlord Tours. He was an excellent guide, explained everything very well, and answered our questions thoroughly. A wonder way to spend the day!!
We had a beautiful sunny day at an unbelievable abbey, Mont St Michel. Our tour guide, Laurine, was so enjoyable and informative during the drive and the visit at the Abbey. She had great historical stories of the people who lived there in the past and took her time showing us interesting areas of the Abbey. Highly recommend this tour.

On Sept 2 we took the Mont St. Michael tour with Viator. Our guide was Elise. She was very personable and so well informed about the history of the cathedral and the various rooms we went through. She was also well versed in the surrounding area and the history of the people who were involved with the building and use of the Cathedral over the years. She was an excellent and safe driver on the trip to and from as well. We enjoyed the day very much and thank Elise for such a memorable day.

The 1.5 hour drive went by quickly with Lucas providing a running commentary of various historical issues. The transfer to the shuttle was efficient. We were let off just a short distance from the Abbey, perfect for pictures. Lucas was amazing!
Worth it! Don’t second guess. It’s better with a guide. Our guide, Elise, shared her rich knowledge with wonderful story telling and excellent English. Mont St Michel was truly magical and breathtaking. The whole package was excellent and I would highly recommend.
This tour was so great, mostly to our most excellent guide, Lucas. He picked us up (on time!) at our Chateaux and drove us to the site. He was so informative, spoke perfect English and was an absolute delight. Lucas took us to the Normandy beaches the next day, the highlight of our trip to France. His insight and local/historical knowledge of the areas gave us an experience we will never forget!

This tour was a great way to see Mount Saint Michel. To have navigated this tour on our own would have been very difficult self-directed. We are so happy that we booked this tour.

Emily was very knowledgeable and organised. She was mindful of the heat and ensured that the group were as comfortable as possible.
This is advertised as a full day tour. Picked up at 0800 and guide talked for short while. Arrived at destination . Waited in line for bus .Then went on tour with guide until 1230. Met him at van at 1410 and left for Bayeux. Guide talked in van about cheese and calvados on the trip home. Seemed less than full day guided tour

Be prepared. It is a steady upward climb toward the top. But well worth the effort. We loved this tour. We learned so much of the history of Mont St Michel. It was a very hot day and lots of people but we could still enjoy the tour. Walking back to visitor center (our choice) was a hot 45 minute ordeal but it was good to see the abbey from the road.
Our guide today, I believe, Loreal, was excellent. Extremely knowledgeable and was a very good driver on busy roads. We were very happy with the operator and this trip in particular.
Julie (spelling?), our tour guide, did an excellent job of touring us through Mont-St-Michel. Her descriptions were excellent, she was funny at the appropriate times, and she was fun to be with. Her tour of the Abbey/Monastery never felt rushed. However, we would have liked our 1.5 hours of free time for lunch, exploring on our own, and souvenir shopping to have been an half hour longer, given that simply exiting the Abbey/Monastery took quite a while due to the crowds. Our tour departed promptly at 8:00 AM and returned at 4:00 PM, just as Julie promised. Personally, besides the extra time at Mont-St-Michel, I would have preferred a bit of a delay, as the weather conditions did not present ideal driving conditions on our way back.

The tour was really good! My only complaint was that we signed up for a small group tour, 8 people max., and there were 14 people on our tour. Why were there 14 people on a 8 person tour??? Please respond.

what a great tour!! Lucas was wonderful and a wealth of knowledge. got there early before the crowds so we had space for explanations. he had great pictorials, suggestions for meals/shopping and alot of explanations of the history of the abbey which was great. comfortable van, safety concious just a fantastic experience! i would highly recommend this and Lucas!!
