Guided Tour From Utah Beach To Omaha Beach With Jeep Immersion

Raphaelle was our tour guide - she was very knowledgeable about the locations and history of the sites. She was able to answer our questions noting key historical events and personalized the experience for us. The day exceeded our expectations, we would highly recommend this well organized agency and expert tour guide.

It was an amazing day. We saw so much and everything was explained so well. Raphaelle was a fantastic guide. So informative and enthusiastic. Loved every minute.

This day was everything we hoped for and more. We were picked up in the morning and got back around 6pm. Our guide was Raphaelle and she made us feel like we were living in the moments of DDay. From the minute she picked us up we were learning and on a much deeper level. There was no question that she did not have the answer to and she is captivating in her storytelling. The Jeep tour was great and gave us an up close view of the local town and the hedgerows. Then back w Raphaelle we went to the beaches and bunkers and back roads and churches and cemetery - it was incredible. This young woman is a firecracker and will make sure you have the opportunity to see it all but in a very organized and comfortable way. She clearly loves what she does and (while I’m sure they are all fantastic) we are so grateful she was our guide. We will never forget this day or Raphaelle!

My husband and I along with two couples and long time friends, had the most amazing all day tour of the Normandy l'angine, with trips to the Utah and Utah beaches. Raphaëlle was are guide for the day, and she was truly exceptional. Her passion for the subject matter and vast knowledge made the story come alive for all of us despite our thinking that we knew much about this event. Raphaëlle is a True expert and covered so many different facets leading up to D-Day and beyond to liberation. Included in our tour was a jeep tour Led by Alex and JD, which further enhanced the day with various stories about the attacks from the Air and the difficulties the troops faced as they did battle amongst the hedgerows. We could not imagine how are day could have been better, so thanks to all at Normandy Discovery Tours, and in particular to Raphaëlle!

We did a full day tour with our wonderful guide Raphaelle. There were 7 of us including 3 kids and she adapted the material for them to understand what they were seeing while still engaging the adults with her vast knowledge. We were so impressed by everything in this tour - Raphaelle was prompt, picked us up right at our hotel door, came with waters and a pristine van complete with car seats ready for the kids (a rare find for a tour like this), whisked us away to all the major sites, arranged lunch and our kids absolutely loved the jeep tour portion. I could not imagine exploring d-day with kids any other way and highly highly recommend Normandy Discovery Tours especially if you have young kids. Extremely accommodating and wonderfully engaging. Thank you Raphaelle again!! We will sing your praises!

Great experience! Highly recommend - we did a lot in one day. Got picked up at our hotel in Bayeaux, visited Omaha, Utah, American cemetery and drove around little villages as we reflected on what life may have been like.

It is a full day of all the most important sites on the area! The guide, Noé was excellent! He was so enthusiastic and told many interesting stories! He was so kind when I left my phone on the back of the van. He waited for us at an exit until we were able to reach him. This was after a very long day for him. Thank you!! The jeep ride was a lot of fun and a very different experience. The driver’s were personable and knowledgeable!! Highly try the tour!!

This is an absolute must do. We had a private guide in our jeep (family of 5) and he was so wonderful. Took us to all the sites, spent the whole day with us, teaching us and showing us so many amazing details and facts. You could tell this was his passion and it showed in the way he does the tour. This day was a highlight in our 10 day trip abroad. Highly recommend.

We had a great time with Raphaelle. The tour was fantastic and very informative! I'd add that I was concerned the jeep portion would be kitschy but it wasn't at all. Instead it allowed us to see areas we wouldn't have been able to otherwise and to really get a feel for the environment. Would highly recommend!

Your knowledge and presentations were interesting, informative, as all three of you (Noe, Tom, and Flavie) were absolutely fantastic and not sure anyone could have accommodated us any better. Cannot say enough wonderful things about this tour company, and our guide Noe. The day was from 9-5:30. We opted for the jeep tour (after lunch) and got to meet one of the owners, Flavie. Her enthusiasm and passion were contagious. The jeep tour also took you places that the van couldn't go. There were 4 of us, and it was a private tour. And Noe - a walking history lesson with a great sense of humor and a hundred anecdotes that made the history come alive. A once-in-a-lifetime experience. You won't regret it.

Raphaelle was knowledgeable and enthusiastic, and her enjoyment of her work and of sharing her knowledge was obvious. Similarly, Flavie (jeep excursion) knew her facts and told us numerous anecdotes that broadened our understanding of the landings. Our family had the most incredible experience with Normandy Discovery Tours. From start to finish, everything was absolutely perfect. We went off road and saw things we never would have been able to see. I had debated between this tour and one that was in a jeep all-day. I was very glad I chose this one for my wife and me as 1 hour in a jeep was plenty + we got to go to sites we would not have visited in the all-day jeep one. Thank you Flavie & Nóe!!

AMAZING!!! The guides treated us like family. We saw sites we knew about and many we didn’t. We learned so much while having an amazing time. Noe’ was our guide while not in the jeeps and was an outstanding guide. He taught us so much and gave us interesting facts throughout the tour. Not just about WW2, but about the towns, restaurants, and anything else we wanted to know. We only had one day and Flavie moved thing around so we would have tour that was second to none. If you come to Normandy take this tour!!!

Absolutely loved the jeep tour. Thomas took us around the area to discover places that tourists don't normally get to see. Great explanations of what took place and ancedotes about veterans and local French people during the war. Great discovery!!

Raphaelle was a excellent guide! The side stories and multiple stops made the tour feel very personalized. Learned a lot and had fun along the way. We had an great overall experience and would highly recommend!!

Flavie was an excellent and knowledgeable guide. My kids really loved it-especially the hero ride and the local knowledge that Flavie had. The keep tour was WELL worth the cost plus we were able to book relatively last minute (about 36 hrs in advance).

The BEST experience during our visit to Normandy. Riding in the jeep and listening to Thomas and Flavie share all the stories and history of the beaches, people and towns while exploring the area brought it all to life for us. I can't imagine a better way to experience this sacred and special place whether on your own or with friends or family. A truly unique and spectacular experience that I will never forget.

Thomas is a great guide who is local to the area. He's extremely knowledgable and has lots of stories to share that help bring his tour alive. I bring small groups of high school students abroad and Thomas will be my go-to guide from here on out. Highly recommend!

We had two days touring with this company. One full day van tour, the other day was the premium experience, with an immersive 1 hour jeep tour in the bocage of Normandy. We loved it and will come back for sure.

Immersion with jeeps (very fun), fun, fun, great knowledge of the subject, it is clear that this work they are passionate about, it impresses to be in the historical sites and remember the facts. There were six of us, with four kids from 9 to 24, and they had a great time and learned a lot. Congratulations.

Experienced amazing and impressive jeep tour. The guides are particularly well informed about the events on and around D-DAY. Received a lot of information that will give you an even better picture of this military operation. A big compliment also for the condition of the jeeps that are still doing a great job after more than 80 years. We had a special and beautiful afternoon.

We loved listening to our guide's explanations throughout the day, Omaha Beach, the Colleville American Cemetery. Our guides were locals, and have lots of anecdotes. In my opinion the best way to visit is with locals whose grandparents have told a whole bunch of stories!
