What an amazing property and what an amazing service. I booked this as a last minute solo trip to Normandy and it did not disappoint. The chateau itself is pretty and very quiet and romantic vibes of french countryside. But the best part was the service. I did get an upgrade to a very nice room through Amex hotel program and the front desk staff were so nice and helpful. I arrived late and the only restaurant on-site was fully booked (it's a very small cute restaurant). The front desk staff called the restaurant and they offered to sit me at a bar seat and get me a table as soon as there is a gap. The bar area was super nice with actual tables and when I arrived the restaurant manager offered to serve me the regular menu and food at the bar table! So I had a nice dinner there and the food was also amazing including the great cider and the Normandy desserts. He also offered me to try the famous Normandy Calvados! I would definitely go back there with my partner in future. Kudos to the management and the staff :)
It is this very right place if you want to relax and enjoy your time. Very peaceful, calm and relaxing. Helpful people. Super tasty food. Comfortable rooms with special atmosphere of the French chateau.
This is a property that from Australia, is relatively expensive, so it fell short of expectations, mostly given our arrival and room allocation. The 'upgrade' still had its issues, there was no consideration for our needs. The food experience was exceptional, cant fault it, it is what made this property exceptional. The surrounds are beautiful, the pool is especially lovely, but despite been told 'its busy' they didnt open the bar/kiosk around the pool, so no service was provided. The location is good, but you need to go everywhere by car, and so a lot of time was spent away from the property - you might want to consider options in town, as there was no options to have dinner nearby, and in house options were very expensive.
The front desk people who greeted us (a woman and an Algerian man- I’m so sorry I cannot remember their names) were so wonderful, happy, friendly and welcoming. We were so tired after a long day travelling and they really made us feel at home. They helped us get a reservation in the restaurant which was booked. We did not plan ahead because we did not realize how far we were from any restaurants. We did not want to eat in any touristy places. The dinner and breakfast were really good. We only stayed one night but it was comfortable and pleasant. The staff all seems so happy to be there. This place has good positive energy.
