Property has amazing history and beautiful settings . Was redesigned few years ago but unfortunately already shows significant deterioration . The service is very spotty ( staff is not speaking English etc) with Exellent general manager Michael Monti who is working unrelentingly to compensate for all the problems. He is the real leader and I am sure will bring the service to a higher standards.
A wonderful place with a very cozy atmosphere, a beautiful garden, and stunning views of the river. The hotel is set in historic buildings, which adds a unique charm to the property. There are two restaurants on site, and the breakfast was excellent. However, there is one major drawback: the rooms do not have air conditioning. For a hotel that positions itself as a five-star property, this is simply unacceptable. Nowadays, proper climate control is a basic standard of comfort. The hotel provided us with a portable air conditioner, which cooled the room quite well. Unfortunately, it was extremely noisy, making it almost impossible to sleep comfortably.

5 star hotel. Please, fix the door. They couldn’t care less. No compensation. Had the audacity to claim removing uneaten 84 euros breakfast and 12 euros facultative eco tax counts as a gesture of graceful act towards a guest.
No welcome drink. No gym. No slippers. No spa. Well, there is an area in the garden with a jacuzzi, a sauna and a hammam-220 euros for one hour. (?!) We were charged for breakfast we didn’t have. And I see that this is a practice in this hotel. Just try and if it workds, then 84 euros more on the bill. Ecology tax, albeit optional, is just crammed on the note. The joints of the bathroom door are making an excrutiating noise. Went to reception to announce it, they didn’t repair it. They didn’t say they didn’t repair it. We just had to discover it in the middle of the night. That ruined the sleep. Which was not great already from the huge pillows and blue light from the steam pannel of the shower. The steam shower does not issue steam. The water is leaking on the bathroom door. The parking is 30 euros. All of this is a 5 star hotel. The compensation? “We removed the breakfast you didn’t have and the ecology fee that is optional” Very very dishonest.
