Hosts Elodie and Cedric have created a lovely hotel out of an old school house. They’ve retained some charming wood and brick features while providing modern and spacious guest rooms. It’s a 5-minute walk to the main street (restaurants, shops, cathedral) in one direction, a 5-minute walk to the Battle of Normandy Museum in the other, yet it’s quiet and secure. Breakfast was help-yourself and included regional pastries and apples from their garden. We were very comfortable here.

One of the best hotels my wife and I have EVER stayed at. The history of being a school, the room and the staff made our stay a 5 star experience. There aren’t enough words to adequately describe how amazing is the staff. Marie greeted us when we arrived Saturday. She helped us get settled- always friendly. But checkout experience made us realize how much care the Hotel staff puts to make us feel welcome. Everything was perfect. But our car rental battery died. The person at the front desk, sorry but her name starts with an L, came to our rescue. We don’t speak French. She called the car rental company, worked all the logistics to get a tow truck to help us and stayed with us to make sure we were ok. Grateful to her for spending so much time. My only mistake was not booking a longer stay.
The Belle Normandy was truly perfect. Our room was clean and refreshing, the bathroom was immaculate, and the location is in a prime place: steps away from shops and attractions, but tucked away in a little quiet area where we always got excellent sleep. The staff was so friendly, welcoming, and we got great advice on places to visit and places to eat. Highly recommend and we would definitely stay here again!!
Stayed here for two nights in their executive room (I think it’s the smallest among their rooms, but still big enough and do not feel cramped). Location was pretty good. Easy walk to town center and 15 min walk to the train station. The room was clean and comfortable. It’s converted from a school in recent years so although the buildings are still full of characters, all the facilities in the hotel are pretty up to date. It’s more expensive than other 4-star establishments here but reasonably so— probably one of the very few here and in the surrounding area with well designed, fully functioning central AC system. Although most of the time Normandy is pretty nice and cool during the summer and AC is not a must, it was really gives peace in mind with the recent heat wave because you never know! The staff are really nice and friendly. They gave us good recommendations and made reservations for us for dinner. The bar and the courtyard are also really nice to check out. I’d recommend!
Hotel Belle Normandy was the perfect place to stay with our family consisting of small children. The Prestige room had a lot of floor space for children to play and a sofa bed for the children to sleep on. Additionally, the room had nice air conditioning and a view of the Bayeux Cathedral. The Hotel Bar and courtyard were great for hanging outside in the evening with drinks. As far as location it was a short walk to the Cathedral, restaurants and main street. Lastly, its location in town was easy to drive up to and park if you had a rental car.
