Unfortunately, our stay was very disappointing. The hotel is advertised as being in Nizwa, but it is actually located quite far from the city, in a very isolated area. This is definitely something to keep in mind if you are expecting to stay close to Nizwa and its main attractions. We also had several issues with the room. The air conditioning was not cooling properly, and when we asked for another room, we were initially told that the hotel was fully booked. This was surprising, as the property seemed almost empty during our stay. After some discussion, we were eventually moved to another room nearby, but the overall experience did not improve much. The Wi-Fi connection was poor, some common areas were very hot, and the hotel facilities in general felt below the standard we were expecting. What disappointed us the most was the lack of helpfulness from the staff. Even small details, such as the complimentary water being removed after the room change, made the service feel unnecessarily rigid and unwelcoming. Overall, between the location, the condition of the facilities, and the level of service, the stay did not meet our expectations and we would not choose this hotel again.

Classy hotel with peaceful and well planned rooms. The pool view rooms are cosy and spacious. Staff is also very polite and helpful. We will visit again in shaa Allah!
The location of Golden Tulip Nizwa is convenient for exploring Nizwa and the surrounding areas, and the mountain views are beautiful. The hotel grounds are spacious, and there is good potential for a relaxing stay. Suitable for a short visit if you’re primarily using it as a base to explore Nizwa, but there are aspects that need improvement before it can truly stand out.
The rooms were pleasant, comfortable, and well-maintained. However, I found the housekeeping and restaurant staff to be somewhat discourteous and not particularly enthusiastic in providing service to guests. Additionally, I observed what appeared to be preferential treatment toward non-Asian guests compared to guests of other nationalities, which was disappointing and affected the overall experience.
Hidden gem in the middle of the desert! This hotel is everything you want and need to make your Oman’s visit complete. Rooms are big and comfy. Most of the rooms have direct pool access, which is very convenient. Bathroom is also big with good pressure shower. Breakfast is great, plenty of options and an egg station. Coffee is also great. Definitely worth, specially since you will be far from anywhere else. We also had lunch every day at the restaurant and it was great! Several options and very tasty. There is a huge pool in the middle of the property. Well equipped Gym and plenty of sitting areas inside and outside.
