Visit Marc Chagall Museum

Marina was knowledgeable and personable for our 5 person group. Enjoyed learning about Chagall and the exhibit of yves st Laurent Maria’s influences was very interesting.

Marina is an expert art guide and our combined Chagall and Matisse tour was outstanding. I could recommend her for all her listed activities. It is not often that one gets in touch with an experienced art expert.

I don’t ever remember getting a more in-depth tour in an art museum. The Marc Chagall museum houses many of Chagall’s most important paintings, and our guide was amazing in explaining their relevance. She was a wealth of knowledge and her stories made the artist really come alive.

I knew of Chagall by name and general impression of his art. But the tour by Marina helped us see the biblical themes as well as the personal profound passionate loves of the painter and artist. I enjoyed the artistic and human perspective of the works and the interpretive viewpoint of our guide.

Marina was wonderful! She was very knowledgeable about Chagall’s life and how much his work reflected who he was. We broke down the meaning behind his many symbols and techniques. After, we toured the Cimiez and the ruins, learning more about that area. Marina is kind, easy to talk to and knows her history. We highly recommend this tour.

What a wonderful museum. We didn't have a lot of time in Nice, but we really wanted to see this exhibit and I am so glad that we did. It is totally worth it. It is in a nice quiet neighborhood in Nice in a very beautiful setting with trees and nice walking areas. The museum itself is fantastic. It's one level so easy to move around and also has bathrooms. Nice people working here, too. Definitely go check it out, you will not be disappointed. If you are pressed for time, just Uber it up there because it can get a little confusing. But it's maybe 7 minutes Uber drive from the promenade. Also, there is a little cafe outside of the museum, but on the same grounds with nice views of the trees and walking path.

A very interesting visit of Chagall museum and some area of the old Nice. I definitely recommend it to anyone is visiting the city! Marina is a very kind and qualified guide!

We visited on Sunday at 11am and it was a very nice experience. In the meantime, I was able to have a coffee at the bar, surrounded by olive trees, which immediately gave a special atmosphere. Visiting Marina is like escaping from the age of technology and overinformation. It is meeting a smiling woman, passionate about art, who dedicated her life to this vocation. Marina not only shows works, she tells the artists’ stories, motivations, emotions and the historical context in which they lived, giving meaning to what is discovered. Moreover, as an Italian, she gesticulates, she is expressive and fun. She takes the necessary time, in no hurry. You can immediately feel the solidity of her journey: she was able to answer all the questions, even those that went beyond what she had planned. A warm, human and rewarding visit. I highly recommend, especially to those looking for an authentic experience, far from any automation.

The difference is undoubtedly made by the explanations: that Marc Chagall’s work is explained so well changes everything. Thanks to the way Marina was showing us the details, symbols and meaning of each work, the visit becomes much more interesting and exciting. You can see the passion and the knowledge, and that makes you enjoy the museum in a completely different way. We left delighted and with the feeling of having taken full advantage of the visit. A very worthwhile experience!

For my first visit to the Chagall Museum, I was delighted to take the tour with Marina. I learned a lot about the life of Marc Chagall, his origins, his influences, his artistic particularities and I was able to see things in his paintings that I would never have been able to see without his precious advice. Marina has a lot of knowledge, masters her subject very well, manages to transport visitors to another era and allows them to live a unique experience in this unique museum. I highly recommend!
