Really disappointed as the bus never turned up and we waited for ages just in case it was running late....

No QR code sent almost refused entry driver eventually let us in when he could Dre we had the app email etc
Good way to see the city but the bus was 5 minutes early to many stops which meant we had to keep walking to catch it! Didn't get to see the Russian Authodox church from the bus. The Citadel in VilleFrance-sur-mer is definitely worth getting off and seeing.
Not a good tour. The route did not pass several of the points of interest the tour advertised—for example, the Russian Orthodox Church. The tour talked about the building and a short history but never drove by the church. Also, the audio did not sinc properly either the location. We found self-guided walking tours much more interesting and enjoyable.
A bit boring and short. Not really worth the price nor the time. Better off taking a public bus. Driver not very engaging. Granted, Nice is relatively small but more areas should have been covered.
Difficult to find a stop and drivers drove past as we we waved at them.
One of the better hop on hop off busses in terms of the condition of the vehicle, but the route is just too short to justify the cost
Excellent tour around Nice and Villefranche. Tour misses the narrow streets of the old city but there is the excellent petit train for that. Wonderful views along the coast and of the harbours of Nice and Villefranche-sur-Mer. We completed 2 tours in different buses and both buses needed a good clean. Drivers were friendly and helpful. A must do in Nice.
Great orientation to the area. We had our second lap jump off location planned until our driver surprised us with HIS hour+ lunch stop..,
Great way to see Nice. Covers a good distance around the town and beyond. The commentary was informative.
Gives you a good layout of the city so you can see places you want to visit. Ran close to schedule time.
Our group was very happy with the Hop on Hop off tour. We thought we had already seen the beautiful highlights of Nice, however the bus took us along the coast past the marina area to small towns and areas that we did know existed. The sights were spectacular we recommend it. The bus drivers made us feel very safe with their driving experience.
I googled where the starting point was and it said theatre de verdure. I put that in as destination for Uber and it took me 60 miles away in Feyance. I messaged the tour operator before we left but received no response.
We enjoyed getting a preview of Nice upon our arrival to the city! The ability to tour Nice , getting on & off the bus, to further determine where we would like to spend additional time was great!
I enjoyed the route especially the port area but wasted a lot of time trying to find the pick up points. Not mapped. So I had to guess
Excellent way to view Nice including Marina and Villefranche-sur-Mer. Hope on and off as much as you would like. Leaves from central location on Promenade.
Great tour of the entire city. The guide was informative and nice
Convenient way to cover a large area and get an overview of the important highlights. It would have been more enjoyable if the top deck was covered or the inside had air conditioning. There were no options to try and stay cool on a hot day.
The pick points are unclear, not on time, the website fails to provide the need information. The audio failed to work and the ones that did work it was hard to hear.
The tour is good …I didn’t know the bottom of the bus was not air conditioned..I was very hot and it was too sunny for me to sit on top
Having been on several of these Hop on hop off bus trips and had a good experience sadly I can only give this one 3 *.. This is due to the poorly signposted stops! It took me and my partner several hours to find one and when we eventually alighted the bus and went round the 'tourist' circuit each stop had no obvious signage indicating it was a Hop on Hop off stop. This, when walking in high heat, was a real problem that could be so easily rectified with good and clear signage which we have always encountered on our many previous trips. I would recommend this trip to others but with the added caveat about the difficult to find stops.
Great tour in general. But would like to have had more time in places. Especially Exe. Felt rushed to get back to bus. But these towns are so beautiful with so much to see and experience, it would have been nice to have more time. Salvador was a great guide and driver. Overall I recommend it as you do get to see a lot of places along the French Riviera in one day. Maybe if it had started an hour earlier and went an hour longer. And could have skipped the parfum factory. It was nice to be picked up at my hotel and returned to the same spot. :)
Caught the bus at the starting point and stayed on for the journey c1hr. Good audio guide, lovely views of Nice. Always worth doing these bus tours. Of course it can be very hot on the top deck so wear a hat :-)
Just over an hour long from start to finish. We stayed on the bus for the complete trip. Beautiful views and interesting information.
Convenient trip as short stay visitor in Nice it gave.a useful guide to the cities attractions
The tour itself is fine. It’s the absence of warning that the second day of the 2 day ticket I bought was suspended due to the Nice Ironman. Paid for two days but was only able to use it for one day.
Hard to locate pick up points as poor signage. Didn’t feel I got a tour of Nice as the route went back along same way and trip to Villefranche.took up too much of trip
We have been on at least 6 hop on/off busses throughout Europe, as it's a great way to get a feel for a city. This by far was the worst experience we have had. First...it was billed as a 90 minute tour...the tour was 45 minutes start to finish. Second, if got off to see something and you missed getting back on the bus by a minute, you had at least a 45 minute wait for another bus. I would NOT recommend this tour...it really was a waste of money
Great way to get around the city for low cost and see everything
Once we actually got on the bus, it was enjoyable. However there are no signs of where pick up spots actually are, nor does mapping in print or online described the exact spot to wait. We spent over an hour going to spots on the map and watched the bus drivers drive right by us, not looking at us waving at the side of the road. Frustrating. No responses through their support chat line either. Do better!!
This should not be the only tour you do in a city and your expectations should be for what it is, a hop on and off bus. This being said, we often do these tours in most major cities as a way to orient ourselves to the area when we arrive. We generally do not get off the bus, but do the entire loop listening to the commentary. Our scheduled tour was cancelled due to rain so we decided to do the bus tour. It was fine, giving us an overview of the area. We ultimately decided to get off at Villa Franc mer Sur. We walked the town, had dinner and came back to Nice. For us, this worked but it wouldn't be the only tour we would do.
It was a lovely ride and highly recommended to see a lot of the area in a short time. Absolutely would do it early in day to have opportunity to hop on and off at different stops.
Open air upstairs or air conditioning in the enclosed lower level. Multiple languages, free headsets. Ticket is good for the whole day.
We’ve done hop-on hop-off tours throughout the world and have liked them as a first-day orientation to a city. This one was a nightmare! I bought tickets on my phone and we never got to use them and were never offered a refund. One problem was that the stops aren’t marked. Based on the map provided on the app, we stood at the place marked on the map, waved at the driver as he drove past and he just waved back and didn’t stop. We ran after him (we’re both over 70) and he just kept going. We had waited for a hour. We trudged further on to what looked like another stop on the map, and after another hour of waiting, the exact same thing happened. By the way, the bus was half empty on the top. I wrote an email to them. They said they would look into this, but nothing happened. How such an irresponsible company can continue, I have no idea. Do not buy a ticket. I’m going to try to pursue this further with my credit card company.
Waited 2 hours in the area and the bus never came. Walked to the stop before it and the bus was no where to be seen. I never saw the bus. I have been here a few more days and have yet to see these buses anywhere.
We waited by the bus door at the first stop but the driver never opened the door and proceeded to drive off before finally stopping to let us on. He was very rude and cursing under his breath. At the next stop he didn’t stop long enough for anyone to get on or off. We had to ask for him to stop to let us off and he again was incredibly rude and cursing. He also drove too fast for any decent pictures to be taken. Not sure if he was having a bad day or what but definitely the wrong job for him. We only spent ~20 minutes on the bus before deciding to get off because of his behavior and the fact that the audio was nearly illegible. Highly recommend you avoid especially if it is the same driver we had (will attempt to add picture if possible).

Route was good but audio often talked about things you couldn’t see. About an hour between buses was a bit long if you hop off
Great way to see the city. Bus was affordable. Liked that it also had route to Villa Franche Sur Mer
We arrived to Nice ville railway station and were looking for the bus stop where to hop on however there was no signs for the bus. We stood on a bus stop in front of the station and saw the bus coming only to find out that it had stopped earlier away from the station and then wouldn’t stop for us. Fine we waited at the right stop for about an hour and another bus came but this time it didn’t stop for us despite us waving at it - the driver just indicated arm movement behind. No bus came and we gave up. There’s no clear signs, no timetable or indication about the timings and you can’t track them either what a waste of time !!!!
Excellent guided tour of Nice. Comprehensive tour with lots of great info about the city. Well worth a second or third trip. Spectacular views of the city and the bay.
Despite reading the reviews, I decided to take a risk and go on this HO HO bus tour anyway and as I have chronic fatigue and arthritis, I thought it would save at least some walking. In winter, it only operates for 5 hours, which I knew. But we decided to sit on the bus for a complete circuit and then decide where we wanted to get off. We left from stop 1 at 11am and arrived back there at 12.07pm to be told that the next bus was at 1pm. So we wandered around the market and then got back on the bus at 12.50pm when the driver came back. We got off at the citadel in Villefranche-sur-Mer at 1.45pm and had a wander around that and down to the port. We arrived back at the bus stop at 2.45pm to find no timetable. We figured that we had just missed a bus but were then worried that with the buses stopping at 4pm, there might not be another one and with no timetable, we had no way of knowing. So we got a normal bus back to Nice. And honestly, as long as you could see out of a window, the HO HO bus wasn’t much better. We would have been much better just deciding where we wanted to go that day and bought a 7EUR day pass instead. Horses for courses but we felt that this was a total waste of money for us.
Did this on a Sunday morning and stayed on for full loop, which is roughly an hour. Easiest puck up point to find is stop 1. Commentary is good (can select language) and enough but not too much detail. Took us high up the hills through very narrow, windy streets so total kudos to the driver for navigation!! Would recommend the top deck but fully open so dress for the weather!
Wanted to go to Villefranche sur la mer but didn’t want to take the local bus or the train. Didn’t expect much from this tour as it only has 12 stops taking 1 1/4 hours. Walked to the first stop where the office is supposed to be located. Nothing there. Saw a few other people gathered, no one knew where to ‘hop on ‘. Saw a bus down the road, we all got on. Poorly marked signage. It was nice to be driven around Nice and out to Villefranche and the taped commentary was good, lots of historical facts, but could not figure out what we were supposed to be looking at. Oh well. Hopped off at the Villefranche Citadel, wandered around then walked down to the beachside restaurants. Pricey!!! Saw Lou Bantry brasserie with lots of people at the tables. Ate there. Walked back up to the Citadel, waited for the bus, back on, back off at stop 1 where we all had to get off. It wasn’t a bad tour but probably not worth the price. The bus comes by only every hour. Long wait if you miss one. Note - the first bus in the winter is at 11:00 AM not 10:00 AM as stated on their website. Good driver.
Lovely.tour ..windy on the open top deck but good views... Didn't see that low season buses run 11h to 16h and not as in the summer 10h to 17h even though booking confirmation started a 10h start. Never mind we had a coffee on the Promenade des Anglais. VILLEFRANCE was worth wandering round.
A good way to get an overview of Nice. Villafranche is very pretty. Busses are very clean. Only downside is that stops aren't that easy to identify.
Very clean busses, friendly staff. Journey to Villafranche is very pretty. It's a great way to get a feel and sense of direction.
Only one bus! Tracking does not work so you have no idea when the bus will turn up. Everyone gets thrown off at stop one. Not good value for money at all.
This is really what Americans call value for money. We had a very nice tour with Driton the driver. We were only three people on an afternoon trip five hours. The driver was extremely helpful. Could explain very well. It was very interesting to see Monaco and Monte Carlo and Ville france and Eze. Parfume factory was least exciting when doing a tour. In Nice, do this.
We were waiting for the first bus of the day at the cruise terminal and it was 50 minutes late. Tour itself was nice as were the buses.
