Monaco & Monte-carlo By Night

Our Driver was very informative and he gave us so much history as he guided us around the cities. Highly recommended if you want to see the beautiful cities of Monaco and Monte-Carlo at night!

We were not told you needed your passport to enter the casino that was disappointing as that was the reason for doing this tour

Fast and private. Good way to avoid the crowds.

Loved this trip!!! Especially the casino at the end the whole atmosphere was brilliant. Totally recommended. Tour guide was more like a driver really, did a bit of talking and just dropped us off. But Monaco made up for it.

An amazing experience and Clinton was the best guide we could have hoped for. He was friendly, well informed and ready to take pictures of us whenever we asked. Monaco and monte Carlo at night are completely different from the morning time. This is a must do experience that shoul not be missed. Monte Carlo was so busy with queues every where. But luckily Clinton recommended a place to have dinner which was less crowded and served amazing food

We loved our driver , he was knowledgeable , safe and on time- if we had gone on our own we never would’ve learned so much About the area! He spoke several languages and was a delight to work with.

I was extremely disappointed with this tour. The tour was advertised as 5.5 hours, yet we were picked up at approximately 7:30 p.m. and were back at the hotel just after 11:00 p.m., making the experience significantly shorter than advertised. There were only three people in the group, yet the driver was on his phone for what felt like 90% of the tour and was barely engaging with us. There was very little interaction, information or effort to make the experience feel like an actual tour. Quite frankly, I may as well have booked a taxi there and back. What disappointed me even more was that at one point I was overheating and genuinely not feeling well. I messaged the driver asking where he was parked because I wanted to return to the car, and instead of coming back or telling me where I could meet him, I was simply told he would only be back at the designated pickup time. With only three guests on the tour, I would have expected the driver to be reasonably accessible, particularly when one of the guests was feeling unwell. Between the tour being considerably shorter than advertised, the driver spending most of the time on his phone, the complete lack of engagement and the lack of concern when I was unwell, this experience fell far below expectations. Extremely disappointing. I would not recommend this tour

I’m attending full day school, so an evening soirée is perfect for me. I specially enjoyed the calmness of the night, most places were quiet. Note that most places like museums or parks are closed at that time, so you have to choose day trip if that’s what you’re looking for. Our guide Clinton is very polite and professional. I really appreciated practicing my French with him.

Our duver Matt was sensational. He was informative, super helpful and we felt very safe as travelling with my two daughters.

So very disappointed , booked our tour everything was confirmed….waited & waited & waited. No driver showed up for us. Just not good enough!!!!! No explanation no call no nothing. Never again Please refund my money immediately.

No show from Riveria Sightseeing Tours, rang them and was told she would contact the driver. Waited and ran again four times and the phone was put on voicemail. Got on chatbox for Tripadvisor and they were told it was cancelled due to a significant global event/force majeure. We were waiting 90 minutes.

Actually, the “French Riviera sightseeing” that Viator is contracted with gets a rating of zero stars. French Riviera sightseeing tours never showed up at the confirmed designated pick up location for my family. After being 10 minutes late, we contact the tour operator for French Riviera sightseeing via email and was told the pick up location was in a different city. after sending verification of our pick up site to French Riviera tourism office and requesting an immediate refund, they never replied.

Driver drove to fast and rough He was on time. And did show us the sites but everyone nearly got car sick

The tour guide felt unnecessary for this activity. We were driven to Monaco and then given almost two hours of free time without any real guidance. For the price we paid, we could have easily taken a train or Uber ourselves and had a similar — if not better — experience at a much lower cost. Unfortunately, the guide seemed more focused on chatting with two young passengers about blogging and Instagram photography than engaging with the rest of the group. While he was polite, he lacked in-depth knowledge about Monaco. His commentary was limited to basic statistics, and he was unable to answer even simple questions such as how one becomes a citizen of Monaco or the extent of the Prince’s authority. Additionally, our driver was not a tour guide and offered little to no commentary. He took us to the destinations, but didn’t provide any meaningful insights along the way. We've had much better experiences with other Viator guides who were far more informative and engaging. Overall, we were disappointed with the quality of this tour.

Tour operator didn't show up / pick us up. Tour operator didn't reply to multiple texts inquiring where they were / why not coming.

Our driver Ditran was excellent! He was very informative about the areas we visited. He was able to explain everything to us in several languages, too!

What a lovely tour guide! He was Albanian but knew the history well. Very friendly and prompt. But you need to stop advertising you get water on this trip as no you do not!

Igor was a funny outgoing guide. He was very helpful and safe to be around. Monaco at night was beautiful and we enjoyed the amount of time we had to enjoy it.

Terrible, no one came to pick me up, I waited over 1 hour, the local agency did not answer either the phone or email.

Bus didn't come. Just there were no customers. No support, no contact, no one answer telephone. Waiting money back for 2 months.

We were expecting a tour to Monaco: Monte Carlo and Palace from outside. We were supposed to get water. Never went to Palace. Never got water or got offered. The driving over the speed limit was worse on the winding roads. However, we did stop at three spots on the way. What made this worse is on the way back they picked up four more passengers with luggage. That creates a safety flag and then feels like shared taxi and not tour. I would not recommend this. Take the train to Monaco. That is better.

The view was great and the driver is knowledgeable and easy to talk to and Monaco is beautiful but the old city was closed.

Picked up spot on time by Matt who was extremely polite and knowledgeable all evening. It's an experience not to be missed

They did not come to pick me up They did not answer my calls I contacted them by WhatsApp and they blocked me I spent 50€ by calling Viator in the USA to make a complaint and get a refund of 65€ … Terrible experience Never again

Matt was an excellent guide...explained everything about the cities in a lot of detail. Great sense of humor and made sure we understand the places to see properly. Suggested good restaurant in Monte Carlo.

Giorgi, our driver was so helpful, friendly and knowledgeable, we had a really fun experience. He was only too happy to help us in any way. If you’re heading to the casino in Monaco, I think it would be great if Giorgi could text guests to take their passport otherwise you can’t get in to the casinos. We luckily took ours. Giorgi was so good at staying in touch by text so we couldn’t get lost, it would be great for his clients if he could give them the heads up about the casinos. We had such fun going in when we arrived in Monaco for a quick flutter. Take water with you as well, Giorgi is great at driving you around and showing you interesting things so take a bottle in the car with you. Thank you Giorgi for such a fun night. Lisa

Great trip to Monte Carlo. The guide was very knowledgeable. Lots to see independently and then a group trip by the castle/ palace.

The Tour Guide (Mathew) was highly informative during the drive from Nice to Monaco, and walk around the city. Also, he is a great Photographer. A very enjoyable tour.

Firstly our driver was over 30 minutes late. It was a small van so my family of 3 was squashed at the back. Tour itself was good but on way back our driver drove to the limits of the van to the point of feeling unsafe. You advertised it includes a fresh bottle of water however when i asked about it i was told NO dont do it anymore and i shouldn’t have asked for one(quite rude)

Entertaining and informative tour guide. Enjoyed his company as well as the overall tour. Gave us exactly what we were looking for, and it was the right amount of time.

The guide was very friendly and suggested good places to see in Monaco and made our experience super good.

Our guide Matt was great. He was enthusiastic and very knowledgeable about the whole area. Monte Carlo and the casino was very enjoyable…but it would have been nice to have more time so that we could have a leisurely meal ( we had a rushed meal at Tip Top!). Perhaps a much earlier pick up time of, say…6.30pm?

Nice driver apparently spoke virtually no English and did not attempt to convey tour info or commentary. No reference, either, to Formula One circuit. This "rour" simply seemed a ride-share, on their schedule and not ours. We do not recommend.

Thank you for an excellent excursion in the city of lights, our excellent guide Raphael who made a lot of efforts to help, guide and just make the trip memorable.

It was awesome and had a wonderful time. The night scene was amazing and it was mesmerizing. Nice scenic views on a drive through small towns.

The driver was very nice however we paid for an English speaking tour guide and had no idea what we were seeing or doing for he spoke no English.

Seeing Monaco and Monte Carlo at night without the crush of the crowds and the heat of the day was the best way. The guide Matt was very very knowledgeable

An interesting experience - had no reconfirmation from the company, messaged on the day through Viator asking about specific pick up time and had to go to their website to find a WhatsApp number to message - received 10 minutes warning at 7pm. First thing the guide asked was if we had cancelled the tour the day prior, when we had booked over 2 months in advance. The trip was smooth to Monaco but no stop at the Moyenne Corniche which was advertised and instead of 2 hours free time in Monaco we had a 40 minute roughly guided walk through and then had to leave so we could exit the parking garage before it closed. Similar story in Monte Carlo; 1hr 15 minutes of free time as opposed to the advertised 3 which was fine but we were dropped off back at the hotel at 11pm instead of the 12:30pm shown on the booking - I think the guide was tired and was keen to get home. Not sure if it’s a communication error between companies but shouldn’t be showing what it is on Viator.

Even though we were picked up at 7.30 didn't get to Monaco till 10pm. Far too many stops en route. Was hungry in Monaco and all the restaurants were closed. Ended up in an expensive greasy spoon. The casino had a restaurant but we were too late !

The Casino. The rest was underwhelming. The driver was late at both pick up times and my group did not feel safe. The driver was knowledgeable but hard to understand. Nice person but the communication on all accounts was not good. Enjoyed my Viator tours in the past but will need to find other options in the future. Really should get a full refund for this tour. Uber or taxi would of been cheaper and better.

Everything was perfect………. but next time the driver “Alejandro” needs to be more patient with rude and obnoxious clients and other drivers. The trip was fun and entertaining and Monaco/Monte Carlo at night are spectacular

“Last night, we took a night tour from Nice - Night Tour Formula 1 Circuit, Monaco, and MonteCarlo. It was an incredible tour, and our guide Alessandro was super attentive throughout. He joined us in Monaco, walked the streets with us, explaining everything. We covered the entire Formula 1 circuit, with detailed explanations about car formations, pits, the finish line, distances, press locations, and more. Later, he took us to the MonteCarlo Casino, a beautiful place made even more enchanting during Christmas. In MonteCarlo, he continued to provide explanations as we drove, guiding us on where to go, detailing each location, and ensuring we knew how to return to our meeting point by 11 pm. We had plenty of free time, over an hour and a half. Throughout the journey, Alessandro was very attentive to me, my husband, and my children. He explained what we saw on each side of the road, named the surrounding places, and described where each path led. We saw the Casino de MonteCarlo, Hotel Paris, Le Palais Princier, the homes of the prince’s sisters, the Cathedral of Saint Nicholas, the Oceanographic Museum, the entire bay with its yachts, and much more. He took photos of us at every location and led us to spots to fully enjoy the scenery. We decided to return early as most cafes and restaurants were closed on December 25th, and we struggled to find a place for dinner. Curious to explore Nice’s city center, on our way back, Alessandro took a different route, allowing us to witness the beautiful Christmas lights illuminating the entire center of Nice. We strolled along the Promenade des Anglais, and he took us to a McDonald’s for takeout, patiently waiting for us before driving us back to the hotel. Alessandro is an extraordinary guide, knowledgeable and providing perfect guidance at every point. I highly recommend him. If you take this tour, he’s the best guide you can have. Even if you don’t speak English fluently, he understands Spanish and speaks about five languages. It was an incredible tour, the best one we have experienced so far. Alessandro’s passion for his work and his eagerness to share his knowledge about Nice, Monaco, and its surroundings were palpable. Thank you very much for everything, Alessandro. Tengiz our driver was right on time . Pick up time 745pm and he was there at 725pm ready to go . This tour is more about the destination not a standard tourist version with full time guide . Tengiz pointed out all the main highlights and we walked around the top of the cliff to take photos etc. can not fault the experience
