My friend and I had a fantastic time exploring Provence with our guide, Bruno, who was hilarious, knowledgeable, and made the whole day run seamlessly! With a small group maxing out at eight people, it was a great chance to meet lovely travelers from four different countries. We started at a perfumery in Grasse, the capital of perfume making. Since we’d visited a perfume museum the day before, we skipped that portion and headed straight to the shop to sample (and buy! 😅) several scents. We then had plenty of time to explore Grasse's charming narrow alleys, cozy cafés, quaint shops, and stunning cathedral. Next, we visited Tourrettes-sur-Loup, a gorgeous medieval hilltop village filled with shops featuring local artisan crafts, followed by Gourdon for a delicious lunch at a local restaurant. (If you opt for a quicker lunch, you'll have extra time to wander the town, too!) After lunch, we stopped by a scenic waterfall and a local shop stocked with authentic Provençal lavender oils and products. We wrapped up the day with an hour and a half in Saint-Paul-de-Vence, a picturesque medieval town packed with art galleries and lovely boutiques. Bruno’s great sense of humor made the day so much fun. Apparently, our group managed to pack the trunk with more purchases than any of his previous tours—we like to call it "supporting the French economy!" 😅 Merci, Bruno, for a fabulous tour!

Itinerary
We start at Grasse, a city of perfumes since the 17th century, today the world capital of perfumery. It is also called the "capital of flowers and perfumes". It is a typical city of Provence. You are offered a visit of the old town or Fragonard perfumery.
You will have an opportunity to visit a famous perfume factory Fragonard.
You will then continue onto Gourdon, where you will be able to stroll around the beautiful medieval village and admire a breathtaking landscape from the top of this fortified little town.
On the way, you will admire the very picturesque waterfalls of the Saut du Loup with emerald colored pools.
Then you will discover Tourrettes-sur-Loup, charming perched medieval village that is called "City of Violets”. On its streets, you will find the workshops of ceramists, painters, sculptors, leather craftsmen and weavers.
To complete the tour you will visit one of the best-preserved fortified villages in the South of France, namely St Paul de Vence. There, walking through the narrow winding streets, vaulted alleyways and arcades, you will be transported back into the Middles Ages.

Bruno was such a fun guide- beautiful spots to visit and great exploration of cute towns. Loved having such a funny guide who was able to answer all questions as well as provide local recommendations for the villages we were visiting.
The villages and scenery were exquisitely beautiful! The day was scheduled well with enough time in each village. The roads are very windy, so caution to those prone to motion sickness. Our guide, Miriam (Mimi) was a great driver and was just delightful!
This was an amazing experience. We drove thru the mountains, swam in the lake within the canyon, stopped by a couple of villages and check out the lavender fields. Our tour guide Marion was great at her job teaching us the history, taking us to beautiful views and gave us enough time each stop to enjoy it all. Can’t wait to return. ❤️
I enjoyed this tour mostly because it was relaxing, and it had a much slower pace than other day trips if taken. It was wonderful to have the opportunity to see many of the small towns I had previously driven by on other tours. Lauren was a wonderful guide and I enjoyed the company of the other travelers.
A wonderful full day tour exploring Provence and it’s cute medieval villages. Marion, our tour guide, was fantastic. She was warm, friendly and gave us recommendations of places in each village we visited. Thank you, Marion!
Nicole is an excellent driver and tour guide, everything well arranged.
Rafael is a very good guide. He’s pleasant and we learned so much from him. We highly recommend this tour with Rafael.
We enjoy the itinerary and the places we went to, but most striking was our guide Bruno. He made the day with his amazing personality. Bruno made the whole experience above and beyond what we expected. We recommend the strip both for the places we have seen and visit and having such a wonderful guide.
Rafael is excellent and has a very knowledgeable about the region and history. He made the trip interesting and it was not at all hurried. Highly recommended
Great tour and great guide. Lovely scenary
We had an absolutely wonderful experience on the Full-Day Shared Tour of Provence and its Villages from Nice. The stunning scenery, charming villages, and well-planned itinerary made for an unforgettable day, but what truly made the tour exceptional was our guide, Laurent. Laurent was incredibly knowledgeable about the history, culture, and hidden gems of Provence. He shared fascinating insights throughout the day and brought each destination to life with his expertise and enthusiasm. Beyond his knowledge, he was remarkably attentive and accommodating, always anticipating the group’s needs before anyone even had to ask. He struck the perfect balance between providing information and giving us ample time to explore, shop, take photos, and simply enjoy each village at our own pace. His organization and timing were impeccable, making the day feel relaxed while ensuring we saw everything on the itinerary. Laurent was also an extremely careful driver, navigating the winding roads of Provence with skill and confidence. Throughout the day, he was kind, patient, friendly, and genuinely committed to making sure everyone had a fantastic experience. If you’re considering a tour of Provence from Nice, do not hesitate to book this one. And if you’re lucky enough to have Laurent as your guide, you’re in for an outstanding experience. He truly made our day special and memorable. Highly recommended!
Raphael was an amazing tour guide. We had a wonderful day on our whistle stop tour spending quality time in each place we visited. He even made a reservation for our dinner! Thank you so much Highly recommended
It was a lovely tour of the countryside. Travelers should be mindful of time when asked to return to meet up. Roads are winedy, so if you get car sick this may not be a tour for you. Waterfall view was so worth it. Totally unexpected.
This tour is a pleasant way to get a taste of some of the most beautiful medieval villages in France.
Well organised and maintained
Was a lovely day and driver was good
It was a gorgeous day in Spring, and every stop was worthwhile. Four stars because I felt It would have been nice to have a little more historical information from the guide, In the case of the villages we were dropped off and left on our own to explore. Still they were all lovely, charming places. The perfume factory tour was interesting, and if you're not planning to shop there, you can arrange with your guide to spend the extra time in the village of Grasse.
4 villages in a day! Justin was our guide and she engaged us well. It was a relaxed yet full day, time given
We had a great time with Raphael and Elton! They knew so much, showed us a great time and made the day so fun!
The tour was very well organized, and the places were beautiful. Rafael, the guide, was brilliant. Highly recommended.
What a wonderful tour. Denise our guide was phenomenal. His voice was inviting. So knowledgeable and professional. The roads were steep and curving but Denise handled it with ease. The hill cities were delightful! Highly recommend this term.
The whole tour felt rushed and it felt like the guide was more interested in getting away from every village than everything else. We were a total of 7 hours and 45 minutes from pick up to drop off not the 9 hours advertised. Had the full time been used it would have felt more relaxed. Little information provide from the guide which was a shame would have been nice to get more information. Giving 3 stars as the villages were all beautiful.
This is well planned and a great experience. It’s just the right amount of time to spend in the villages. Gouda was a very kind host and an excellent driver, plus the vehicle is immaculate and comfortable. Merci!
We had comfortable amount of time at each stop. Enough time to snap photos and enjoy the beautiful scenery. Raphael is friendly, on schedule and very knowledgeable. Vehicle is clean and comfy. Overall a good experience!
Great way to visit some lovely villages in the hills above Nice. Nicely paced trip with a decent amount of time in each village
Very nice trip with Raphael who provided detailed information about places we visited during this tour. We had a tour of perfume factory which was interesting and visited several villages. In each of them we had plenty of time to explore and got the tips what to see and do. Van is modern and hotel pickup was smooth. I would recommend this tour to other travellers as it is gives good value for money and helps you make the most of your time in France.
Miriam (mimi) was an excellent guide/driver. The 8 of us were picked up promptly and taken to Grasse, Gourdon, Tourettes sur Loup, St Paul de Vence. The weather was fine and I had a great day. Well worth the money. I would do it again.
Fabulous! Breathtaking majestic views. Gorgeous towns! We experienced the true flavor of the region with fewer tourists. Highly recommend. This is the second time we took this tour with this company in the past two years. We plan to do it again next spring.
Really enjoyed this tour! It was super convenient to hop on and off at the designated spots, and our guide Mike was funny and entertaining—his jokes were exactly my kind of humor. The places we visited would have been hard to reach without driving, so I’m so glad I joined this tour!
Had a great quick visit to Grasse (not too into perfume) but we picked up some nice gifts for family. Our Guide Catia was fun and engaging. She provided us with a lot of information about each of our stops that help put things in context for us. Gordon had a stunning vista, and I think I will always remember the way the fig tree smelled in the sun that day. Truly a remarkable view (late August 2025). Seriously an eidètic moment in my head. Tourettes sous la loupe was charming, and we loved walking down the alleys. St. Paul de Vence was charming and due to the heat of the day we really enjoyed the chilly beer with strawberry syrup in it. Very refreshing. Reminded me of another Viator experience in Italy (lemon beer). Catia provided a binder full of recommendations, and we saw several of the other locations the next day.
... we greatly enjoyed this trip. It covers some wonderful places and villages with lots of history to take in. Daniel was a great driver and guide. He engaged well with the group and was always ready with information. YMMV
This was a really nice tour of quite a few villages. I felt like I was catapulted back in time to a fairytale I've read about in books as a child, these towns are so lovely and enchanting. Plenty of free time in each spot to walk around and explore on your own and a funny guide, Mike made the day a really enjoyable one. It's hard to pick which town was our favorite we loved them all so much.
Just superb in every way!!Our guide Mimi was the best- brilliant personality and so informative. The towns were breathtakingly exquisite.Magical day from start to finish😍😍
Nicola did an amazing job of touring us around Provence and sharing interesting history about each location. We also enjoyed the free time at several locations. We would highly recommend this tour to others.
We totally enjoyed our day in the villages we toured in Provence. The medieval villages and beautiful views from mountain tops were great. We had just enough time to explore each place, shop, and eat lunch. I would recommend this experience. The only reason I gave the tour a 4(instead of a 5) is because I would have enjoyed hearing a little more history and background to each place. Our guide was very nice, but she dropped us off places and shared very little. She was more a chauffeur than a guide. Also, the 9 passenger van ( driver plus 8 guests) that required two people to sit in the front bench seat. We had 6 people in their 70’s, two with disabilities ( broken arm and walking challenges). Luckily we had 2 people in our group that were young and on the small side who volunteered to sit in the front. Still, it was a lovely day in a beautiful place.
Great tour guide Rafael. Great itinerary with enough time in each spot. Not rushed like some other tours. Communication with office/tour operator though was difficult and frustrating. They need to work on that.
I would have liked a little information on each place we visited. The road / drive was rough. Most of us were a little queasy
Amazing tour with perfect lengths of stay in each location/village. Never felt any of the stops were too long or too short! Waterfall is so much more beautiful in real life than in photos! Only negative would be the size of the van was not spacious enough for the length of the day trip and the aircon wasn’t strong enough, even after someone asked to turn it up! So made for quite an uncomfortable and sweaty journey - especially later in the afternoon!
Denis was a fantastic guide and gave lots of information and recommendations for places to go. The places are lovely to see and out of season there are less crowds, but not everything is open before May.
Elisabeth was wonderful. This was one of my most fun trips. She is a delight. The trip itself was beautiful and magical. I highly recommend it
Tour lady was fun, knowledgeable, and friendly. The schedule was well organized. The route was well managed. We enjoyed.
This tour was cancelled much to my disappointment. I received less than 25 hours notice and was badgered into making a choice not of my choosing. Also I was not given a full refund by Bingo Tours who withheld 10 Eutis citing your fee which I had to pay. The person on the phone was quite pushy and said that I wanted to go to Cannes when that was never on my agenda. Very upsetting and very disappointing.
Lovely day and our guide, Catia, was fantastic. Enjoyed the fragrance factory and each of the medieval villages were wonderful.
Great tour with a fantastic choice of sites to see. Really enjoyed the charm of all the medieval fortress villages such as Grasse, Tourette sur Loup, St. Paul de Vence and several more, with some surprising extra sites along the way that Rym, our guide, stopped at. Rym is a local and has extensive knowledge of the history of the region that she shared with us which it made the excursion very enriching. Would highly recommend this tour to anyone who would like a departure from the seaside towns.
Probably the best excursion we’ve had since we’ve been coming to Europe. Ottilia, our driver and guide was so kind. Patient, and so good at explaining all the different sites. It was also very nice that she gave us choices at times whether we wanted to stay how long we wanted to stay in one place. I would highly recommend her as well as the excursion. We did the ground loop for a full day. Fantastic.!!!
Excellent experience from start to finish...Fragonard in Grasse, always a standout, Gourdon, Tourette sur Loup and St Paul de Vence. Wonderful guide Dennis explained everything along the way...an absolute treasure!
The tour was really nice. We had a small friendly group. We had great weather and were able to experience all of the towns (and the views) without the summer crowds. So it was a really good time.
Laurent was the best guide. He paid attention to all the individuals in his group. He is very knowledgeable regarding the history and has interesting anecdotes regarding the sites on the tour itinerary. He also gave great tips on restaurants and shops to visit. Bravo, Laurent!
Great tour, especially tour guide was very friendly and helpful, made the experience better which is all I can ever ask of a guide .
