Very spacious rooms and friendly, efficient service. We used this hotel as a base, leaving the car in the paid Q-Park garage and relying on public transport to reach Nice city centre as well as other coastal towns such as Menton, Monaco, Villefranche and Cannes. The Côte d’Azur card made this very cost-effective, with frequent train and metro connections. Both the metro and train stations are within walking distance of the hotel. One minor drawback: while aircraft noise is not noticeable in the rooms themselves, it is noticeable at the pool area — enclosed by the Novotel and Ibis buildings — due to the proximity to the runway, even though the planes themselves aren’t visible from there. For those not travelling into the centre, a zoo (Parc Phoenix) and a few restaurants (Italian, Chinese, Japanese) are located nearby, of adequate quality. Overall a practical and comfortable base for exploring the Côte d’Azur.

We stayed at Novotel Suites Nice Airport for two nights during our summer Italy/France trip. Our main reason for coming to Nice was to attend The Weeknd concert, so we were looking for accommodation with a convenient location and, most importantly, a comfortable room for the three of us. The hotel worked very well for us and was a pleasant surprise overall. The biggest advantage for our family was the size of the room. It was considerably more spacious than what you often get in a typical city or airport hotel, and there was easily enough space for three people to stay comfortably. The room was also very well equipped and had everything we needed for a two-night stay. When travelling as a family, having enough space makes a huge difference, especially when you’re staying more than one night and have luggage with you. For us, the room size was definitely one of the strongest points of the hotel. The receptionist who welcomed us during check-in was particularly lovely. She was Italian, born in Morocco, and had such a positive and friendly personality. She made us feel very welcome from the beginning and was happy to help us with the check-in process. We had also requested a late check-out, which was arranged without any problem. There was a small additional fee, of course, but we appreciated that the hotel was flexible and able to accommodate our request. These little things make travelling much easier, especially when you’re attending an evening concert and don’t necessarily want to rush out of your room in the morning. The breakfast buffet was probably the biggest surprise of our stay. I’m normally not a huge fan of breakfast buffets in large international hotel chains. They can sometimes feel very standard and impersonal, with lots of choice but average quality. The breakfast at Novotel Suites Nice Airport was high quality, fresh and had a very good selection. I was genuinely impressed by the quality of the food and would describe it as one of the better hotel breakfasts we’ve had during our travels. There was a good variety of options, so everyone in our family could find something they liked, and the overall quality felt noticeably better than what I usually expect from a chain hotel.
Hotel was greatly set with everything needed. Shower room and toilet looks a bit cheap as modules installed but all working perfectly. Staff was super helpful and there is a public parking nearby where we can easily charge electric cars. No issues with noise at all. Still find bad that there is no complimentary water the rooms and only water fountains but not a critical point here for only one night. Nothing exceptional but a solid recommendation for a stay with family for one night.
Do not expect a 4-star experience at this hotel. It was one of the worst stays I’ve had, both in terms of the property and the management. The bathroom and toilet had a persistent, unpleasant smell throughout our stay. Despite raising this issue four times, there was no proper response or resolution from the staff. The food quality was also disappointing—closer to what you’d expect from a 2- or 3-star hotel, not a 4-star establishment. As compensation, they offered Accor points worth only 10% of what we paid, which felt inadequate given the issues we faced. I have since filed a complaint with the European consumer authorities regarding the hotel’s management and handling of this situation.
This will be the Second Time I have stayed at the Above NOVOTEL SUITES , it’s a lovely Hotel staff extremely friendly and helpful all Speak EXCELLENT ENGLISH , from the moment we checked in I got a full run down of the Hotel Facilities etc etc, The Male Receptionist who checked me in was efficient and Friendly , I forgot to ask his name but another one of the Staff Members ENZO was spot on with service too.
