Hotel Nice Riviera

Hotel Nice Riviera’s main strength is its location, convenient to both the train station and the beach, while still being quiet enough in the evening. The front desk team was exceptionally polite and professional. While the hotel may meet four-star standards through its amenities and services, aesthetically it felt closer to a two-star property, with dated interiors, and worn furnishings. There is also a Housekeeping and room replenishment also needed to be raised with the front desk a few times, although they addressed the issues promptly.

Hotel is in the city center, it has its own garage so once you park your car there is no need to go anywhere with it. Train station is 10 min walk and Promenade the Anglais. The staff is very kind, rooms are clean, bathroom is huge for a hotel and rooms of top floor have a big terrace. Breakfast is good.

Very disappointing experience for a 4-star hotel. We booked a city-view room through Agoda and expected a queen-size bed, but were assigned a twin room on the ground floor instead. While checking the room, we found that one of the beds had not been properly prepared and was missing bed sheets. The room telephone was also broken, making it impossible to contact reception from the room. When we reported these issues, we received different explanations from the staff. First, we were told that the room could not be changed because we had already entered it. Then we were told that our booking was for a twin room, despite our booking confirmation showing otherwise. Later, we were informed that the hotel was fully booked. The lack of consistency and willingness to resolve the situation was disappointing. The only positive aspect of this hotel is its excellent location. Unfortunately, we would not stay here again.

The website photos are completely not accurate. This is an old and outdated hotel. The halls are dark. Flirting is old and there is even an odd smell in the rooms. Our rooms for the family were not put next to each other as requested. It just wasn’t comfortable. The staff are there but nothing extraordinary. Service was average to fair. The location is centrally located so if the rest doesn’t bother you then you’re good. There are many other choices that I would consider instead for future.
