Location is much better than you might imagine. Hotel one (free) stop on the tram from the airport. Tram lines 2 and 3 stop outside which is very useful for the old city (Jean Medicin and the port/marine at Port Lympia. Aso 5 minutes from main line station Saint Augustin (Nice) for trips to Monte Carlo, Antibes, Cannes or even Nice Ville central station. The food in the hotel was exremely good, with a modern fresh menue.

Great hotel - pity about the lounge! Great hotel, great rooms, located close to the airport but with great public transport/tram access to town. Executive lounge was well appointed but the 'happy hour' was a real let down!! Particularly disappointing when we had previously heard such good/rave reviews. Obviously something significant has happened but clearly not for the better.
Far more dated than the pictures look. Maybe a 2 star hotel at most. I arrived for one night. When I got to the room it was 28 degrees. I adjusted the temperature, after about 20 minutes it was 28.2 degrees (yes, it went up...) When I notified the front desk that my room was a suana, they informed me their technician had gone home and they could give me a fan. A fan. Not a new room with working AC like I paid for. A fan. Luckily Expedia was able to a secure a refund immediately and I checked into the Sheraton across the street. Avoid this dumpster of a hotel.
The Crowne Plaza Nice - Grand Arenas is hard to beat for convenience. If you’re flying in or out of Nice, it’s a total lifesaver—it’s just a 5-minute walk from Terminal 1, and there’s a free tram right outside the door that shuttles you between terminals in minutes. Getting into the city center is just as easy. The Nice Saint-Augustin train station is only a couple of minutes away on foot, and the tram line (Grand Arénas stop) takes you straight into the heart of Nice in about 15 minutes. It’s the perfect spot if you want to be close to transportation for day trips to Monaco or Cannes. I did have a small issue with my door during the stay, which was a bit frustrating, but honestly, it was a minor blip. Nothing can really ruin your mood when you're surrounded by the beauty of Nice! The room was modern and spacious, and the staff were helpful throughout. Definitely my go-to for a convenient, high-quality stay by the airport.
Overall, a fairly standard hotel for its price range. The room was spacious and even had a very large TV, but some basic details were missing — for example, no disposable slippers. Among the plus: large rooms, generally pleasant staff, and a convenient location near the airport — a good option if you’re staying just one night before a flight. The main downside is definitely the breakfast. It costs €17 if booked at check-in or €22 afterward, but the selection is very limited and not worth the price. Food is refilled slowly and somewhat chaotically, even when guests are waiting with empty plates. The fried eggs were barely warm every day — by the time you reach your table, they’re almost cold. Out of four days, only once was there someone available to cook eggs fresh. The menu doesn’t change at all from day to day. The bar and room service are available only until around 10 pm, after which you can’t order anything, either at the bar or to your room. The hotel restaurant itself has a very low rating, so for lunch or dinner it’s better to go into the city. Overall, fine for a one-night stay, but for anything longer I would consider other options.
