Reviews
This hotel is located at a great location. You can cross a busy street, Tran Phu, to get to the beautiful Nha Trang beach. Views from hotel room is excellent. The rooms are spacious. Now comes the negative reviews. Too many, so it’s best to list them all here. - Rooms are outdated. - Walls have so many marks. Not sure why quick paint jobs were not done here. - Flying bugs in the room although we saw only a couple. My kids were terrified. - Pillows smelled like sweat. - Furnitures are outdated. - Hallway (at least on the 10th floor, where we stayed) is dark with no Air conditioning turned on. Walking out of the elevator onto the 10th floor reminded me of an abandoned building or in some horror movie (not that scary, but …). Need better lighting; Turning on AC would be nice. - The hotel doesn’t allow early check-in. When asked, they kept saying that “all rooms are booked and no one checked out yet”. Although that may be “true”, but we were in the lobby the entire time and didn’t see anyone checking out before we were allowed to check-in at the correct time. Although this is not the hotel’s fault or responsibility to allow early-Checkin, but letting guests sitting around waiting in the lobby, which has no AC, doesn’t help the image of the hotel either. - No friendly smiles spotted from hotel staffs. - Hotel lobby has no AC turned on. Luckily they had a couple of large cooler fans turned on. - Stains on bed linens and pillows. - Towels smelled “old and not clean”. - In room phones (at least in room 1005) don’t work. They have no dial-tone. The phones in the other room where my kids stayed were fine. - TV remote control is so dirty. - Power outlets are loose and don’t have good contacts with the phone chargers. To be fair, this may be a problem with all hotels. We stayed at a hotel in Hong Kong recently, and it had this same problem. - The safe has a huge key. Why??? Hopefully, hotel management reads this post to improve it as most of the negatives are rectifiable. Also, customer service can be improved by providing staffs with proper training. Notes: a local family member booked this hotel for our group of 12 people. If we were to book a hotel in Nha Trang, we wouldn’t have booked this hotel reading all of the other reviews.
here is our “poem” inspired by the Nga Trang Yasaka stay Karaoke Ghost Hotel Checked in with a smile, thought we’d found a gem But the lobby’s got more glitter than a disco den Knick-knacks on the ceiling, fake flowers galore And I swear there’s a karaoke stage on every floor I’m itchy, twitchy, what’s biting me? Breakfast buffet was a mystery Old eggs, old toast, just lukewarm tea And a sad little noodle staring at me We’re alone in the dark on the 8th floor No lights, no guests, just a creaky door From the 1970s straight to my dreams Where velvet wallpaper silently screams Oh-oh-oh, karaoke ghost hotel Where the vibes are cursed and the stories swell Plastic flowers and porcelain cats And a mannequin dressed like a diplomat Echoes of “My Heart Will Go On” From the lobby till the break of dawn I tried to sleep but the walls sang too And the carpet smells, i wished like shampoo Hallway’s haunted, I can feel the gloom Decorated like grandma’s living room No coffee, no comfort, just mystery soup I’ve never seen anything like it, was I duped? It’s $23, a budget delight With a million-dollar view in the morning light
First of all let me tell you that we travelled a lot in Vietnam and this is the first hotel, that didn’t check us in earlier, we came a bit earlier. The second thing was today’s receptionist was unfriendly, no emotions, no reactions, no service, not even any smiling face. The first thing that she told us, was paying for the breakfast for kids. The building looks a bit older, but the location is good, they also have cafe-bar next to the hotel. We haven’t checked the rooms yet, will update later. The last year hotel much more friendly. Won’t come back again! New Updates for the room: Just after posting this, the same receptionist asked me to check in, so don’t know if they read this or not, but I just post it for getting better service for everyone. Tge room is ok, clean, there’s a bathtub in the bathroom. The view from hotel is nice. They also have a swimming pool on the 2nd floor. Generally the building of this hotel and interior is quite old, I suggest them to change the interior inside and they’ll get more tourists.
Like the title says.. it used to be in tip top shape but it’s more of a broken down 3 star hotel instead of 4! I’ve stayed at this hotel before back in 2015 when it was at its best but now in 2022 it’s no longer my go to place! They don’t change the bed sheets and how do you know? Because there was sand on the bedsheets! I was in the bathroom while the maid was cleaning my room and it took them no more than 3 mins to clean! Also the wall sockets are super loose! You can’t charge your phone or anything and it charges your phone super slow! Takes about 5 hours to fully charge a 30% iPhone! Also the ac is broken it would take 4 hours to completely cool the room, cool not cold keep that in mind! Just spend a little extra and stay at a different hotel . The staffs are nice but the hotel is super old.
