Muong Thanh Luxury Nha Trang Hotel

Disappointing As a family we're fans of the Moung Thanh hotel chain and have enjoyed wonderful stays in 2 other MT Nha Trang hotels. This hotel is supposed the be their jewel in the crown, but I can only describe our stay as disappointing so far. *OK I'll start with the positives -Staff seem friendly, polite but very busy -We have a nice 23rd floor-clean room with a requested interesting city view, we look over a disused airport with some mothballed soviet jets parked up. *Sadly there are several negatives to repory that have made our stay not so pleasant. -Security seems very lapsed, a chap who can be described as a vagrant has been sleeping in the hallway outside our room. Giving unpleasant stares everytime we pass. -Our room safe dose not work, we've constantly asked for repairs, but 3 days later it's still not been fixed. -It took 7 hours and 5 phone calls to reception to get an extra pillow. -Breakfast is very crowded, with average and lots of old cold food. -The entrance road is constantly blocked by large buses, meaning a long walk out to a taxi, this caused us to get soaked in the rain yesterday. -The hallways are not so clean with litter left. I really wanted to like this hotel but to be very honest its ppoor.This maybe due to sstruggling because it's so busy I don't know. I'd suggest the other MT hotels in Nha Trang are better options.

Elevators are always broken and it can legitimately take 6-12 minutes if you miss an elevator to go downstairs from the upper floors. Location is excellent to anywhere of interest around the city centre. Convenient store in the lobby. But the elevators and very old building need major renovations. Very noisy too. Hotel across the street plays open air band every single night until 11pm to 12 am.

My husband and I stayed at this hotel for one week. When we arrived there was not one person greeting us or taking our bags. As we arrived at the desk there was not a warm welcome and we produced our passports to check in and were told they will hold them. I said absolutely not. This was a first ! Who takes your passport to keep. They call this luxury hotel but was not getting that feeling at all. The rooms are outdated and windows have a film of dirt on them . We had breakfast included. We went for breakfast and not once did anyone ask for your room number. The staff on the breakfast buffet and cleaning tables deserve a raise! I had never in my whole life seen such a display of people taking more food than they could eat and being rude to the staff. What a waste of food . You need to reevaluate how your hotel would like to be seen . It most certainly is not Luxury by any stretch. Start by customer service when people arrive. Truly disappointed.

We enjoyed our stay at the hotel! It was very clean, the staff was very friendly and quite helpful in providing recommendations for safe, good excursions. Especially Duy, he was diligent with coordinating and booking for us. I would recommend this hotel for those looking to explore Nha Trang! Being right across from the beach was a huge bonus too for the days we wanted to stay close to the hotel.
