We came here as the 2nd leg of our safari from Arusha, and before heading to Serengeti. The crater has the highest density of large mammals and one would be hard be pressed to find a better place to admire its beauty than the Lodge. The views are stunning, from the lobby to the restaurant to the room. We had the 2 person room (a little small, but comfortable) and the 3 person family suite (very spacious), and both of them were well maintained and luxurious. The infinity pool is heated and has an amazing view, and the spa offers a nice break from the game drive. The food is amazing. Gets cold and misty in the morning. Highly recommended.
This lodge is located in a perfect location for stunning views of the crater. The ambience, hospitality and amenities were simply amazing too. In particular, the staff that assisted my wife and I, Mr. Epimark, was brilliant. Nothing felt rushed or overbearing. Instead the experience was very welcoming, memorable and such an amazing service with great conversations. In all the hotels, lodges and safari tents we stayed at in Tanzania (which includes other Melia establishments), Epimark was by far the best staff we have experienced. It was truly great for us that we had him to assist us during our stay. Overall, this lodge was such a spectacular stay, and the rest of the staff were also very helpful and friendly. We only wish we had more time there.

The staff are what truly make this hotel extraordinary. They consistently go above and beyond, making you feel as though you are the only guest in the hotel. Their genuine kindness, warmth and attentiveness redefine hospitality and make every moment of your stay feel special. The food is of the finest quality and superb taste. The chef could not have done a better job.
Never have I experienced such exceptional service. This hotel deserves every bit of praise it receives, and I cannot recommend it highly enough.

The staff were incredibly kind, patient and welcoming. More than once, they even walked me back to my room when I got lost, always with a smile.
One of the absolute highlights is the heated infinity pool at sunset, with a spectacular view over Ngorongoro. It is a magical experience and something I highly recommend.
The food was excellent and delicious, the rooms were fantastic, and the service was always friendly and attentive.
There is also a lovely small shop with tanzanite jewellery and a very talented local painter selling beautiful works of art.

Our stay at Ngorongoro Lodge was truly amazing and unforgettable. The crater views from the lodge are simply breathtaking. The moment we arrived and took in the scenery, we felt that every penny spent was absolutely worth it.
The common areas are beautifully designed and tastefully furnished with a modern touch, creating a stunning atmosphere throughout the property. The food was exceptional, offering a great variety of dishes made with quality ingredients and outstanding flavours. Every meal was delicious, and we thoroughly enjoyed the dining experience.
A special shout-out to Mr. Majad (I hope I remembered his name correctly), who took care of our check-in. He was professional, well-prepared, and had a thorough understanding of our booking details. His concise yet informative briefing made us feel welcomed and well taken care of from the moment we arrived. He truly deserves recognition for his excellent service.
We would also like to thank Mr. Abrahams for guiding us on an enjoyable and memorable game drive in the Ngorongoro Crater. His expertise, knowledge, and friendly nature made the experience even more rewarding and unforgettable.
