The Ultimate Nyc Secondhand Shopping Experience

Mecca knows her stuff! My mom, husband and I did this vintage shopping tour not really knowing what to expect. We all walked away with so much more than anticipated! Mecca was spot on with her information and I appreciated her gentle encouragement to step outside my comfort zone. Such a fun experience, I would do it again.

We had so much fun checking out all the unique shops! This was my second time on the tour and it never gets old!! I can’t wait to bring my daughter!

We had the best time with Kate as our guide. The meetup was easy at the Ace hotel (get there early for breakfast) and the shopping felt all relatively nearby in the neighborhood. The options shared was varied and delightful--something for everyone (both curated and "digging" for a treasure if desired). She gave us space and time and noticed when we were winding down and ready to move on--much appreciated where the pieces she would pull and show each person fitting the style she observed. I would absolutely do this again with different friends. What a great way to experience a beautiful fall day in NYC with friends--inspiring! Note: I had been thinking about a leather jacket-and found the perfect one (women's designer) priced by the pound and a steal! Recco: do have some items in mind you're searching for-it helps to mentally prepare. :)

This tour took us to several bargain paradises, and our guide, Mecca, was very helpful and helping us shop. She’s very knowledgeable and personable. Highly recommend.

Great way to maximize shopping time. Isla helped pull items she thought I’d like in each location. I was traveling with my husband, who absolutely hates shopping. I knew I only had 4 hours on our 5 day trip for treasure hunting. Having a personal shopper was great!

I took my 20-year-old daughter and my 16-year-old niece on a shopping trip with Kate. It was excellent. Kate was great with the girls. She quickly learned their style and was suggesting things from the racks. We had enough time to really dig in to each place. Thank you for a really memorable day for me with these two girls.

Quentin was well versed in consignment! He was fun and helpful. Worth every penny to have his assistance shopping. I found some real treasures.

I chose this tour as a way to find reference garments for my final project in fashion school. I'm from a city mostly known for sportswear fashion and NYC is of course an awesome playground of fashion creativity. I get easily overwhelmed but being on the tour with Quentin was like having fun, "structured" play. He helped me by pulling items he thought I would like and set aside the pieces I pulled. The other people on the tour were so cool too. I am happy by my first experience and would sign up again when I return to NYC.

We had the best time! Mecca was lovely and helpful and just really knowledgeable about all the shops. Highly recommend - takes the pressure off and you can just relax and take in the experience. My son found so many great finds and is so excited for his new wardrobe.

I could never say enough nice things about this tour! First, the OWNER (Samantha) was amazing at working out the tour for us. She made sure we were able to have our tour while working with an odd schedule. She was also able to accompany us on our tour for part of it, and she’s a BLAST! Second, our tour guide (QUENTIN) was AMAZING. So much fun, so helpful, and just a RAD person! There were definitely items we ended up buying because Quentin was there to help us shop. Third, my daughter and I just had an overall great experience. Every shop we went to had some amazing finds. Having a guide to give us ideas and help us find items was beyond helpful. It was the best thrifting experience I’ve ever had. I wasn’t really planning to shop for myself (I planned the tour for my daughter’s sixteenth birthday so it was for her to shop), but I ended up with so many nice items, which I don’t think I could have done on my own. I would absolutely do this tour again! Book it - you won’t regret it!

Both the tour and group leader Quentin were great! Hard to believe we visited six stores in one afternoon. Quentin is a great communicator and put a group of strangers at ease easily. He asked each of us what were looking for, and then spent his time trying to find it. As a solo traveler, I appreciated the sense of fun and comraderie that he encouraged. I highly recommend the tour and Quentin as group leader.

Three girlfriends and I spent a long weekend in the city. We came across this tour while planning our time there. What a blast!! From the booking process to the actual shopping tour, everything was amazing. The owner, Samantha, was very flexible and communicative when our initial plans changed a bit. We were able to reschedule within a very small window of time. Mecca, our guide, was the absolute best. We talked beforehand, she got a feel for each of our expectations, and followed through while we shopped. I'm not usually a big thrifter. but this experience gave me a whole new outlook about it. If you're considering booking, don't hesitate - it was a fun filled few hours! We've already decided we'll do it again when back in NYC. Thank you Samantha and Mecca!

We had a great time shopping with Isra. She asked what we were most hoping to find and helped us search. She found many of our purchases for us. I was shopping with my daughter and a friend who are both going off to college in the fall, and it was great to find low prices on one-wear formals for sorority events. Isra was constantly bringing them options to try. I have visited NYC many times and would never have known where to shop secondhand without this tour.

this is the second time in a year that we have used this company for our thrift tour. I’m not a big thrifter myself as I find it very overwhelming. But my daughter loves to thrift. And having your own personal shopper helps you wade through all the chaos! Isra knows the shops, the owners, and what to look for. She is the best! I’m sure we will be seeing her again in the future. Last time I found an amazing Chanel bag for a STEAL! This time my daughter found sooo many cool clothes! I’m a fan of sparkle so look what I spent $12 on!!!!

We were a party of 7 adults, ranging from 18 years old to 50 years old, men & women, all different styles, budgets and a few in our group were visiting from Greece for the week. I wanted to pick a tour that would be different than the usual NYC tour BUT would still interest and apply to the entire group. This was absolutely perfect! Everyone in our group made very happy purchases and every shop we visited, we bought from! Mecca was our guide. What a blessing she is! We met her at our designated meeting point, she introduced herself and gave us a little history about her background, the tour, asked what styles and things each of us liked, and went over the basics of how the tour would work. We were in the city for 4 days and this was probably the 1 activity EVERYONE absolutely loved. Mecca explained where we'd go, the type of items that would be in each shop, time allowed for each stop and that she'd give us a "times almost up warning" to keep us on track. She gave us time for bathroom breaks and snack breaks, and tailored the shops to our overall interests. She knew so much about each stop, knew when to negotiate and if things were a good buy or not. Her style is awesome, so it was very helpful to have her honest opinion when we were all trying on clothes and / or accessories. Even the guys were all smiles! She made a point to chat with each of us to get to know our personalities and styles a little better and was always within shouting distance if we needed help. We purchased things from hockey pucks, to designer bags, sports jerseys, all kinds of designer clothes and so much more. You don't need to be a " shopper" or into clothes to enjoy this tour... Mecca will find the places that suit your interests and take you there. This was WELL worth the money and I don't think we could have had a better experience or tour guide!

Mecca was an amazing guide! Abe was extremely knowledgeable and helpful in picking out pieces we liked. She knew everything about the stores and she kept the tour moving efficiently and smoothly! 10/10 highly recommend this tour for all the thrifters! We did this tour for my son’s 18th birthday and it was his favorite part of our entire New York trip!!

I absolutely loved the tour. Our guide, Isra, was simply amazing. She showed us some hidden urban gems in terms of shops that only true New Yorkers know about. I would never have found them on my own. In addition, she went out of her way to help us find incredible looks and outfits. A truly dedicated guide. I 100% recommend this activity if you want to experience the New York fashion scene.

Mecca was amazing and welcoming. She worked on Christmas Eve due to us only being in town a few more days! She take us to prime thrift stores and I was able to get a lot of amazing things. She allowed us time to shop and even found me a beautiful dress! I recommend this tour and ask for Mecca! You can't go wrong! Will do this again when I return to the City!!!

Regardless just walking about in Chelsea and learning more about the city is what’s it’s all about right? Loved it. What a fun day! Mecca was absolutely lovely. She was so helpful showing us stores with gently used and vintage clothing. She gave valuable information about the stores and the area. It was a delight to spend the afternoon with her. This tour or assisted shopping experience was a University graduation gift to my daughter. It was a surprise and she loved every minute of it. She bought several pieces and will always have the memory of shopping select boutique vintage/used clothing stores in NYC! I would highly recommend this experience!

My wife is an experienced thrift maven and gallery owner. We have hit the Brocantes in Paris and the fleas of London. Mecca did a great job of getting us into thrifts as locals. I got some super deals on vintage work wear and Suze did well on designer goodies. Well done!
