The Empire Helicopter Tour Of New York

Excellent trip. The pilot's commentary was excellent pointing out the various landmarks. We took some wonderful videos and photos. My grandson (18 yrs) ended up sitting in the front with the pilot, which he absolutely loved. You are told where to sit and it worked out well for him! We were a party of 4 and the helicoptor held 6, and I think that it made it more special that there were only 6 of us. We chose the 30 mins tour and it was money well spent. Would definitely recommend.

I loved this experience! Everything was very well organized and safe. They explained the safety procedures to us and gave us life jackets. We left our bags in the lockers. The views were amazing and our pilot was educated on the fun facts about New York. The buildings looked so beautiful from the helicopter view. I’ve never been on a helicopter before and I enjoyed the experience and definitely would do it again. They also take photos for you and you can buy them digitally for $35 which was a fun touch.

They cancelled the tour the day before our tour as due to bad weather then said no ties until the 3rd January as all cancelled but I see they have advertised again on earlier dates but inflated prices. We booked this over 8 months ago and was looking forward to this but seems like they want to make a few more dollars 🤷🏻

Disgusting, cancelled out trip less than 24hrs before we went. We booked and paid in full July. No apologies. Was supposed to be the trip of a lifetime with family. Completely ruined our five day break and came all the way from the UK. Not impressed and very disappointed

This was by far the highlight of everything I did on my New York trip! From start to finish the team looked after me and even after the tour itself, thank you so much 💖 you forget how big New York city is until you see it from the sky.. Coney Island etc which I didn't have chance to see otherwise

We booked the 30 minute tour, however we had bad weather and therefore were told we needed to book another day. Luckily we were in Manhattan long enough for another try at the Lanape skies…. On the 10th of August 2024 the sun shone brightly, however there were so many flights required to make up back log of bad weather days, we had only 15 minutes in the air. It was fantastic and we were so grateful to get up there we were cool. Luckily our refund came straight back to us. Very well done to Charm Aviation and Viator! If you can this is a must and the whole experience of flying in a helicopter is something else altogether…

Super organized well run operation lots of fun worth the money. A great way to see the New York City skyline

This is no way a cheap experience but was defiantly the highlight of my trip, certainly for views of NYC, if you can afford it! The ride is only 30 minutes but the views are spectacular. We went up and down the Hudson and saw the New York skyline in such a perfect way. I was speechless at the views of New York and much further away. You just need to do it the once but worth every penny (or dollar)

Llegamos 45 min antes y nos sentaron de espaldas a La nevé, llegamos mareados y vimos solamente New Jersey no Manhatan We arrived 45 min before hour flight and they sent us to the helicopter 5 minutes after our arrive sat us whit our back to the helicopter we arrived sick and only saw New Jersey

The whole experience was brilliant - from booking through to the actual flight. Really informative and easy to chose which type of flight we wanted and the Pilot, Todd, was so friendly and knowledgable. Would strongly recommend.

I gave myself a birthday present😍🎂🎉 I had promised my daughter a tour in New York five years ago. So I decided to give her this gift, on my 51st birthday. It was very pleasant to see the happiness stamped on her face. But it wasn't just my daughter, but my son-in-law and granddaughter too.😍 The most memorable thing during my ride was the pilot's smile. I think I fell in love.😍🥰🥂 I will definitely be back.

Over crowded and given an center seat with very limited outside view. The as350 helicopter has 4 across seating in the rear with the outside passengers blocking most of the window from the 2 inside passengers. The forward part of the helicopter had the pilot seat and 2 passenger seats squeezed in. Result was three heads blocking forward view from the rear seat. Waste of 400 dollars for my seat. Asked before our departure about seating next to a window and given the impression that each passenger would have a window for a view. Very dissatisfied with this trip.

Truly an amazing experience. Customer service is unbelievable. My wife and I were treated with such class. 5 star, top notch, would highly recommend. Thank you everyone.

Staff were excellent having to deal with a very scared child & helped him whilst his parents did nothing to ease his nerves pilot also 1st class

The process was streamlined from start to finish. GPS will not be very helpful and parking is expensive. No place to park at the heliport. We found riding the subway was the easiest. Checking in was a snap and the safety brief informative. We loved the photo opportunity that was available but didn’t really love the look of the life preserver in the photos. Our pilot was informative and the flight was smooth. A wonderful experience.

Pilot gave us a lot of information about New York, got a really good understanding how NY and surrounding is set out, definitely a must to do!!!

Arrive early for front seats! Trip was fantastic helped by a beautiful blue sky. Was everything and more!

They cancelled our tour due to weather and they told us that there are no helicopter tours allowed on Sundays (we were leaving the city on Sunday night) in all NYC yet we saw several helicopters flying all day around the city for tours and even their own helicopters take off from the helipad with other guest on Sunday.

A lack of careful communication and organisation led to a cancelled trip on my partner’s birthday. We were re-arranged - for the next day involving another trip to the bottom of Manhattan - and the flight went as planned. I was somewhat disappointed that we were ‘wedged’ into the middle seats of the helicopter with a reduced opportunity to take pictures - the best seats were taken by the family who turned up 20 minutes late for the trip and were then given prime front and side seats - not proper justice. We were given a complimentary photo for our booking re-arrangements. Overall it was a nice flight but the occasion lost its sparkle once we were ‘bumped’ from the trip on the original day, which was a birthday surprise for my partner, and then soured with poor seating.

25-30 min tour is a must after 3 days of walking the streets what a way to see New York from above well organised highly recommend

It was a great experience, interesting narrative but the radio crackled a lot. Luckily we had a lovely sunshiny day after many days of rain. It was wonderful to join a family from the UK. If you want to see NYC in a hurry - this is a good bet.

A wonderful experience flying around the major spots in New York. The pilot gave a commentary about all the places. It was a fab time there were 5 people on board so we had plenty of rooms.

Helicopter was shared with 6 people plus pilot. So a bit cramped but great views . Only get best photos if sat in front or window seats. Times were changed and initially they couldn’t find the booking so worth calling and checking. Helicopter goes up one side and then repeats journey so both sides of helicopter can see.

The stunning views of the Statue of Liberty, Brooklyn Bridge, Manhattan, etc. were expected but the super knowledgeable and personable pilot was a great plus!

From the booking process to the communications prior to flight day and the fantastic staff throughout (security, check-in, briefing, airfield, pilot), Charm Aviation/Liberty Helicopters treated me to an exhilarating and incredible experience - one of the best souvenirs I will ever keep from a trip! The pilot was terrific, loved hearing his commentary whilst taking in the spectacular views and absorbing all the details that can be seen from above. There was a last-minute scheduling conflict due to delays that meant the initial flight I was going to be in couldn't take place, but they rapidly rebooked me on a new date with great flexibility and offered a very rewarding compensation - customer service was outstanding! Don't miss this chance if you get it, it was my first time on a helicopter, and I absolutely loved it. Highly recommend flying with Charm Aviation/Liberty Helicopters!

I appreciated the good communication with the claimant. They contacted me the day before for flight confirmation and then for cancellation due to the weather. It was raining and offered me other possibilities. Unfortunately, we were unable to shift due to the short time there and our return to France

Hello, Our experience was a little disappointing compared to our expectations and the opinions we read from the majority of people. First of all, the weather was not excellent; grey skies and rain at times so much less beautiful photos. But that of course was just a lack of luck! Second, I understand the need to make the flights profitable, but I think we were too tight in the helicopter. Four passengers in the back and two in the front + the pilot. At the back we were very tight, difficult even to move to take pictures properly and the 2 middle passengers obviously did not have a clear view like those near the glass. It was quite frustrating, especially considering the price... On the other hand, the organization was perfect and I do not regret having done so and having brought back the souvenir photo!

Unfortunately, the airline already had too many landings and the flight was cancelled with the question if we could move it to May. So excited and this was such a disappointment. Would think, ask your competition if they still have a place, but no.

Thanks again to all the staff and the driver. The helicopter team in complete freedom was very helpful. We had a great memory and a great experience visiting the whole of New York City. It was a great moment.

After I received regular (even the day before) information about the procedure, flight etc., I was more than surprised that my flight was simply cancelled on site because as I understood it they no longer had licenses to take off. A bottomless cheekiness, since you are not only happy, but also your vacation days are coordinated with such events. I don't understand how you can sell more than you get licenses from the city! No excuse, just “One is just like this, we can cancel or fly in a few days...” NEVER AGAIN with this agency! (HeliNY was kind enough to take me as an individual and they tried very hard! Thanks!)

Des vues magnifiques, le pilote était adorable et un très bon guide aussi. J’ai pas regardé combien de temps on a passé sur le ciel de New York, mais s’était suffisant pour voir tout ce qu’il était à voir.
