Superheroes In New York Walking Tour

Nice and fun tour with plenty of great facts!

The tour was easy to book and find, plenty of directions and answers in the faq. It did not feel like a long walk, most of the time was hearing about the history of the buildings in the context of New York, and how it developed into the comics and superheroes we know and relate to. Plus some fun facts and a lot of capital New York.

He had such a great tour with an expert guide. That’s really knows everything about cómics.

DO NOT BOOK WITH THEM! The map led us to a meeting point inside (yes inside) the United Nations building. We tried contacting the organisers who said we missed them by 2 mins but could catchup. Knowing I had young kids, she just said to carry on down the road and refused to give any more details. She said she wouldn’t be able to contact the guide. We couldn’t find the guide and then called her back, she then refused to answer after several attempts. One does question the safety of having a guide on a tour for young children with no means to contact him. Either way they clearly provided inaccurate meeting point coordinates. Stay away from this unprofessional provider.

We had an enjoyable and fun experience. You could imagine Spiderman webbing all across the city. Our guide had a huge amount of knowledge about our heros. The amount of information was interesting but was lengthy at each stop. Kudos to our guide for what she knew without a cheat sheet. It might be better to shorten the stop times and keep tour to and hour and a half. I noticed that my family was not as engaged for the last half hour of tour.

Our tour guide, Mike, was great for the Marvel and DC Comic Walking Tour! So many entertaining stories and images that he managed to keep us all engaged on a very hot day in NYC. We saw and learned about interesting places we may not have seen otherwise. My whole family enjoyed this tour.

The tour was great! You get to see some of the famous buildings used in movies like Spider-Man 1 and Superman. Our guide Connor was terrific! Very informative and a great storyteller.

The entire family enjoyed this! We have kids ages 12, 15, and 18. All enjoy superhero movies, but a couple are into the comics. As someone who isn't as into the superheroes, I also enjoyed the tour. Michael provided great information and stories. I learned a lot! Our tour was about 90 minutes, which was just the right amount of time.

We really enjoyed the tour with Michael, learning the history behind Marvel movies, comics, and the buildings around the city that play an important role. Michael was knowledgeable and created a fantastic experience, especially for geeks who want to know more about their favorite superheroes.

WOW! So much fun. Joel is an incredible host who was patient with our barrage of questions and photo-taking. His depth of knowledge and joy on the tour reflected his own personal passion for the superhero world. He not only pointed out the sites that were connected to the stories but gave some backstory on the characters or events plus the backstories on the sites themselves.

We had a great experience on our Marvel tour. Our tour guide was excellent and liked that he gave us some New York history with the marvel history.

Highly recommend this tour. We all had a brilliant time. Micahel was a great tour guide. Very knowledgeable, engaging and funny. A great way to see the sites in context of the superheroes and the history of superheroes, marvel and DC.

I cant speak to the tour itself, I can only speak to the company, the policies and the tour guide we had the unfortunate displeasure of meeting. We had booked this tour for my niece while we were in NYC. We used the City Go Pass to book (which btw GREAT value and totally worth it!). We had a family emergency that later ended in a life changing event. I called to let them know we would not be attending and to cancel the morning of. I was greeted to being told if we did not show up then we would be charged the full value of the tour for each of us. Out of respect and following procedures we trekked over there and met with the tour guide. Boy was that a MISTAKE! He was awful, had an attitude from the beginning and then called me a liar. There was an error in booking and I booked myself separately under a different reservation from my mother and niece. Long story short, he was an absolute jerk and even said I would be charged for the second reservation since I had no city go passes to scan. He was stating I would be charged for a mistake. I believe his name was Sean I am including a picture so if you see this tour guide- RUN! I have not been charged nor has my email regarding this tour guide and the incident been replied too. If anything changes, I will update the review, however, buyer beware you dont know what you could be walking into. I have informed City Go Pass and they are currently reviewing if they will continue to work with this touring company.

Great experience, many sites covered, entertaining, historical. Our guide Connor was knowledgeable and had a lot of good inside info.

Meeting place was easy to identify once we realized where the park was. The guide, Michael, was friendly, knowledgeable, and considerate. We saw many well know and lesser known locations related to the filming and the history if the superhero comics.

I'm not a big superhero fan, but found the tour to be very interesting! Patrick provided a lot of energy and spoke nice and loud so the whole group could hear.

Michael was very personable and provided interesting information. Simple walking tour thorough the city.

Great way to walk through the city, with such a knowledgeable guide! Conner took time getting to know us through everyone’s fav characters; then proceeded to give us a full 2hrs of history, stories and jokes around the DC/Marvel empires from the 1920s through to modern day. This is not really for young children but a wonderful activity for teens or adults - everyone was super engaged all the way round. Tip: Bring water!

Guide Cameron's knowledge and enthusiasm really made this tour worthwhile. I learned so much about DC and Marvel Superheroes, their influence to Pop culture and association to American Mythology. Superheroes and their creators are hidden plain site of NYC familiar landmarks on an easy walking route. Tour went by in a snap. Pleasantly surprised

Percy was super knowledgeable about all things comic books that it kept even a layman like myself interested. Percy gave ample time at each stop for pictures and answered all questions along the way. Would highly recommended!

We really enjoyed this tour with Percy, as it was both informative and interesting! We got to see some cool landmarks and hear about how they related to the history of comic books, like who created Wonder Woman (so fascinating!) and how Marvel filmed the Avengers at Grand Central.

Cameron is a big superheroes fan and an enthusiastic super guide. We loved his explanations and enjoyed the tour a lot!!

We walked the Marvel and Dc tour this afternoon with Patrick. He was excellent, engaging and interesting, he catered to all ages of the group and all knowledge bases from the novice to the comic obsessed. I know we thanked him on the tour, even though our feet were in bits by the end he even gave us a decent range of local eateries to get dinner at after his talk. Bit of advice do this on a go city pass for best value.

Went on the Marvel/DC Superhero walking tour. Was a pretty bad time and dissapointing for the following reasons. - Only 3 stops from between start and end with REALLY long periods of standing up to 30 minutes in the freezing cold. - Misleading advertising. Was more of a comic book history tour with new york landmarks thrown in. - Really poorly planned. The content was bloated and packed with irrelevant information to the locations to stretch the time out. It felt like very little effort had been made considering so much of New York is home to famous shots from super hero films. All in all, for the price it felt like an enormous rip off and would suggest steering clear of this company.

My son is a huge Spider-Man fan and we found this tour on the GoCity app. Percy did a great job telling us about all the different areas in the city that were used in movies and comics. So much information about the history of comics and characters! We had a great time at all the different spots and learned a lot!
