We showed up at 6:50pm and our tour was for 8pm. Just to find out they cancelled it. They put two cruises together and turned it to a party with smoking and music and said I can come back tomorrow to do the cruise. It was our last night there. A very disappointing last night in New York. They supposedly called and we NEVER received a call. Never again would I book with this company. Requested a refund. Bad business practices.

Music was to loud we came 20 minutes errands like they told and we left a half hour late or so we could not hear someone else talk because the music was to loud
Yes we got there last min. Boat was still docked we ran to the boat. The boat workers where starting to remove the ramp. They saw us running and one of the workers stated the owner was making sure they did not wait. 2 more min would not have hurt at all. But again yes we were late but darn is there any compassion or courtesy at all.
I booked the cruise with my two young sons as this was their first time in the city. Not long after our Lyft dropped us off at the pier and we were sitting down eating on a bench twelve minutes before the cruise started I received a call it was canceled. It was super inconvenient, especially after I got the boys (7 & 9) excited about the experience.
There’s no coverage in case it start to rain. My wife and I got there early there’s no parking. We wait an hour and a half just to have the tour canceled because they over booked. We were on time, but the boat wasn’t so we waited an extra half an hour before finding out that we were going on the boat. And we came all the way from Connecticut. Lady on the boat told us we come back tomorrow or get a refund. It was a big waste of time. I felt like I was scammed. now I’m just waiting on my refund.
The boat is old and dingy. There are no signs what so ever for this compony when you arrive by taxi. It says be 20 Mins early but the boat did not even pull up until our departure time and then we left 20 mins late, returning 20 mins late. There was a recording playing over the loud speaker with information but it did not coincide with what we were currently passing so it didn’t make much sense. Def do not recommend, I’d spend some more money and do a nicer tour.
Tour was great. Staff very accomodating and friendly. Will recommend this to friends and family. Fun!
Worst experience ever. After we booked the experience, followed the directions given and arrived 1 hour in advance. There was no one at the location to assist, no directions, we were lead to a dead end. This is an extreme safety concern for out of towners like myself. After frequent calls I finally got someone on the phone just to tell me our tour was cancelled without notice. We found someone in a ticket booth 20 mins later and he said: Quote; this happens all the time on a daily. They take your money and the rest is up to you. Never book this experience and customer service is non existent.
Boat never showed. Was told at dock “the tour is on vacation” it’s a scam. They took our money and wasted our entire day.
We truly enjoyed 90 -minute tour from Pier 78 the Brooklyn Bridge to the New York Harbor and a close view of the Statue of Liberty, them up to the Brooklyn Bridge and back to the dock. We sailed on a fine, modest sized ship with accommodations, good places to sit, and plenty of space inside and out for viewing the sights. As a frequent visitor to New York (and former resident) I have seen these sights many times over the years. But never aboard a ship. And I can say without hesitation that there is something particularly glorious and inspiring about viewing it all from the rivers. Plus, kudos to Rachel who did a thorough job of describing in detail everything we passed by on our journey. She has a lovely voice and knows her stuff. She has a true kinship with sailing and life on the water--the real deal. Given all this, $30 per person seemed well worth it.
The tour guide Rachel was SO much fun and very informative. They had food and a full bar and I absolutely adored the entire experience.
Very pathetic service from Viator. I booked this trip for Statue of Liberty seeing trip scheduled on 1 Sep at 7:30 PM while my visit to New York as tourist. but it never happened as it was cancelled by operator. Tried to communicate to both aviator & operator for my refund but no refund as yet. So I have paid for service along with international calls for refund request which I never received. I would never use or suggest to book anything from Viator.
Great crew on board, great price for service! We took our two children, so it was enough time to keep their interest. Lots of time to see the statue for each side of the boat, ample time to take pictures from different angles and enjoy the scenery.
Was a nice short trip around. Offered details of landmarks as we passed by. Reasonably priced. Thoroughly enjoyed!!!!
Great trip. Very informative and great sites. Really great view of the statue of liberty. Great family fun. Would go again.
Great view, service was great as well. Attentive, gifts to buy on cruise. One of the men who works on board grabbed a chair for my friend to sit down
Boat was old, staff not very friendly but we saw the Statue of Liberty. Just know what you’re getting into, nothing fancy.
The operator refused to cancel the trip although the weather was horrible and there was no way to stand outside to see the Statue of Liberty.
This was a great way to see the statue. Only took about 1 hour. The boat went right next to it and we got incredible photos. On the way back we saw the NYC Buildings and bridges. If you want to just see the statue and get some great pictures this is perfect.
Really good your & informative, would have scored a 5 but a bit of a pain with people taking 2000 selfies it could be tricky getting a good view. Fine for me as I just ignored them but my 2 teens felt embarrassed so stood behind others
Very happy we went on the tour. Was just enough info and views were spectacular! Took great pics. Boat was a little rocky when entering and exiting the boat.
Absolutely an awesome tour. The staff were very friendly and informative. The souvenirs were most likely the least expensive in NYC. I took my nine years old granddaughter, who couldn’t contain her excitement. I highly recommend this tour. Great for all ages.
Great trip to see the full nyc sky and Statue of Liberty. Got incredible photos a definite must do for the best photos. We saw the sunset and all the lights go on. Empire State Building was beautiful.
The cruise was cancelled without notification. It was switched to a July 4 firework cruise with 0 notification. It took 50$ to get to the pier only to find out it’s cancelled. The lady at the check in was super rude and did not help us and share this information for almost 1/2 hour, They have asked that we come back again today. We are not sure we will be able to make it back there with little kids but will try Worst experience ever and waste of time
If I could give Zero stars I would. Tour started with 1 hour of delay and staff did not even apologize or give an explanation. I do not recommend.
Tour is worth the money. To the Statue of Liberty and back in about an hour. You can get close enough to take beautiful pictures. Catering on board is also provided, but costs extra on top. 2x Corona 23$.
