Our guide Michael was fantastic! Very friendly and engaging and clearly enjoyed sharing history of New York—at the same time he is a thriving Broadway pianist. Totally worth seeing how old area has been redone, while preserving historical architecture. Chelsea Market hip and fun and Highline amazing The meetup gets only two points because the physical address we were given for meetup was WAY different than the actual meetup point—which we only logically figured out WHILE driving there. Also because no one responded to my frustration with this issue. We are not from NY, so wouldn’t have known address given could not have been correct upon further analysis.

Our tour guide was very knowledgeable of the area. Lots of good information about the immediate area and also history of the city in general. We loved the market and came back later for some late lunch. History of the highline is very interesting, and we enjoyed the walk up there. Great views. We did the tour with our 2 teenagers, and they enjoyed it as well.
Lovely tour, John was very knowledgeable on the history of the tour and New York itself! Would definitely recommend and nice to get away from busy times square!
Great tour with Patrivk. Interesting and informative tour of an area of NYC we had never seen before before, but would definitely return to!
John our tour guide was very good. The only problem we had was the meeting point. The Viator app gave us the wrong location which resulted in us being 20 minutes late. The tour itself was very good and informative though. A lovely part of NYC!
John gave us an excellent tour and put up with all our questions even if they didn’t relate directly to the tour itself. He was very knowledgeable and entertaining.
The tour was excellent. John was clearly well-versed not only on the specific areas we visited but on the history of NYC and more. Plus, he is a nice guy.
We loved this tour and learned so much about the history of these neighborhoods, which is fascinating. Our tour guide was Patrick, and he was excellent. I highly recommend this tour!
The end location is incorrect in the website. We had parked cars at where we thought the tour ended because that is what your tour said so we all(15) had to taxi quite aways to return to our cars.
Percy did an amazing job on explaining the history of the area and giving so much insight into how Chelsea Market and the High Line developed. Very well run tour and knowledgeable guide!
I can’t say enough nice things about this tour. Patrick our tour guide was very knowledgeable and fun. The tour was a great mix of historical/modern stories and facts. Patrick also gave us some great dining recommendations in the area. We loved the tour and will be looking out for Top Dog tours in our future adventures.
This was such a good tour, learnt so much about high line and surrounding areas. This was so much better than doing it on your own. Our guide, Patrick was very knowledgeable and made it fun and was a really nice guy. As well as the history we learnt lots of fun facts about New York - wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this tour and guide - first class !
Tour was good. Beautiful part of the city with a lot of history. Guys was knowledgeable and we did ask a lot of questions. Will come back again to explore more.
John was excellent. So knowledgeable and educated on the subject The best tour guide ever!! Thank you. Excellent. You were amazing
If we could give Percy 10 stars we would. It was a private tour formed around our interests. Percy was an amazing guide. We learned so much about Chelsea Market and the history of the area. Walking on the Highline was great and learning about how the area was established was so interesting. Percy was very knowledgeable and articulate. We highly recommend this tour and especially recommend Percy as thr guide.
Interesting tour of Chelsea and Meatpacking district with a passionate tour guidePercy. It was a lovely moment with many interesting informations
The tour was very interesting. We heard a lot of stories about the district. Our guide Percy was entertaining and very knowledgable. I higly recommend the tour.
Park built on very beautiful old trails, walk with soul and observe the buildings around, the apartments facing the park are stunning
Rory was an awesome tour guide. So much interesting history about both nyc and Chelsea Market (and the meat packing district.) Not to mention a great British accent that makes listening to him a pleasure. Lots of funny comments about “those Brits” —in nyc history —the scoundrels!
Cicela our tour guide was very good and despite the wet weather we enjoyed ourselves, there wasn’t to much walking and we visited a bit of Manhattan we had not been to before. We would recommend this short tour
Isa/Isabella is the best guide, has extensive knowledge of the route and your kindness makes time worthwhile
We are a family of 4 with teens. We wanted a tour that would give us more information/ history about the area while not being too boring (for our kids). This tour met our expectations. Our guide was young, knowledgeable and enthusiastic. She told funny stories along the way.
A really good experience overall. Great tour guide. Interesting stories about the Liberty Hotel. Guide certainly knew her stuff.
Amazing trip…Gabi was informative and provided us with interesting information about the area. We got to stop and try the amazing coffee at the Chelsea market as well as ended up eating pizza at the Artichoke Pizza place nearby…worth a try! Highly recommend.
Tour was great! We learned so much about the area that we did not know. Gabbi was fantastic! Energetic and she knows a lot about the area and was able to answer our questions (and there were many!)
our guide Maki was fantastic. Very down to earth, telling the stories and history of the neighborhood. He performed some parts which made a fantastic tour and nice to comprehend
Loved the history current and past. Mackenzie was very knowledgeable and friendly. The pace was great and we were introduced to a lot of places that we would have never known otherwise nor understood their significance today. Definitely made the experience of the neighbourhood more memorable and interesting, including for my 16 year old son!
The guide did a great job in story telling, but it was not worth the value of $47 per person, taking into account we were a group of 7 - one family. Unacceptable expensive and worth to take action Viator!
Cecilia is an awesome tour guide. She greeted us with a smile. Loved the entire tour. Would recommend this to everyone! Cecilia has a lot of fun facts that she shared and it made this tour fun! This was a great experience! Thank you Cecilia!
We actually wanted to book a tour for the highline which was not running on this day of the week. Alternatively, we decided for this tour which was a piece of luck! We especially liked Chelsea market and the detailed stories about the meatpacking district. Only thing to gripe about is the price for only two hrs. The day before, we did a small group tour with New York City Highlights at the same prize which took us 6 hrs. And it was at least as good as this one.
We had a great time on this tour, it was the perfect length for a walking tour. The guide was amazing. She was easy to talk to and had great stories about the area.
Very well done tour, well organized, perfect length. Great size, very small group. The weather was perfect.
Christine is an excellent guide with many nice stories on the meatpacking history. The high line is beautiful and so is Hudson Park.
We had a great guide and ended up being the only 2 on the tour. We learned a lot about the areas we explored - what they used to be and what they are now. Highly recommend this tour group and wouldn't hesitate to use them again.
Christine really knew her stuff… all of the historical context really brought things to life! The tour ended at Little Island which is a gem! Fantastic views and just a wonderful oasis .
Very informative tour. Ended up just us and Christina. Learned lots of interesting facts during the tour. Christina was very knowledgeable and personable. Because it was just us, it was very interactive.
Christine was very pleasant and personable. We had a small group so it was easy to hear and questions could be addressed. It was our first introduction to the Highline which we had heard of and the Chelsea Market was an interesting experience to visit. We also walked to see where and what the "Little Island" (park)was.
Christine did a great job telling us about the history and evolution of this interesting area of NYC.
Very pleasant and fun tour guide! She was patient, knowledgeable and informative! We had a great time!
Fantastic your! It was just two couples on the tour and it was a perfect way to start our day. We learned a ton about the area and really enjoyed the tour. As we passed other tour groups I couldn't help but think we really lucked out. Our guide was awesome and engaging and the small size made it feel like such a treat. Highly recommend.
Christine was a great tour guide! She has so much interesting things to share and made the tour delightful! Would definitely recommend this tour!
This was a fabulous tour of places in the city that maybe a little less recognized. We truly enjoyed the tour.
Took this tour last week as NYC was opening up again. What a great tour, and our guide Julian was excellent! Because it was a weekday, we ended up being the only people on the tour so was essentially a private tour. Met in front of Chelsea Market and proceeded to walk around Chelsea, the Meatpacking district, and High Line. Learned so many little nuggets of interesting information and history about the city and Chelsea in particular. Julian kept the tour interesting and entertaining. Would highly recommend!
Kevin our guide, who is also a comedian, kept us all enterained, and his knowledge of the history of the area was excellent.
We really enjoyed our tour with Alyssa. She was very knowledgeable, and made the tour a lot of fun. It was windy and cold on the day of our tour, and it was mostly outside, so we were a bit frozen when we finished. But, Alyssa managed to get us inside and let us warm up when she could. This is an area of the city that we had not previously been to, and we were really glad that we made time for it.
Excellent tour led by Evan, great to hear the stories and see the architecture as well as the markets where we had lunch afterwards. Bring your camera (and winter woolies if in winter). Beaut time thanks.
Patrick led us around on a very cool early December morning. As a result we were the only two on the tour, which made for a really cool personal tour! Patrick was informative and weaved humour into the anecodotes as we strolled around. Due to the snow the previous day, the High Line was closed but the tour still covered the details, we'll just need to head back another time! Great spots around the start and end of the tour to grab a late breakfast or early lunch. Highly recommended.
A great way to start a few days in NYC as it really got us into the swing of things and showed us the highlights of an interesting part of the city which is a must for any visitor. Liam was great...very informative about the area, and also full of ideas for other things we could pack into our visit, including a great pizza place.
This tour was very informative. Amelia did a great job with her knowledge and insight of the area ...specifically the Chelsea Market and the Highline itself. She was very congenial and integrated everyone on the tour resulting in a great experience. It is a really good activity for anyone with zero knowledge of this part of NYC.
Let’s face it, you can walk the Highline on your own, but if you want to learn more about the history this amazing neighborhood and understand the history that led to the revitalization of the Meatpacking district, then this tour is a must do. I gave this tour a 5-star because of our amazing guide, Amelia. Amelia was knowledgeable, charismatic, and warm. With Amelia as our guide, we felt less like we were on a guided tour and more like we were being shown around town by a friend!
