Very I interesting & the 4D soaring was incredible! Price was about $50 for Adult after taxes etc. I spent about an hour there, you could take longer. There was a large group of on school trip right behind us. Staff were friendly & helpful. I would not bring children under 5.

Fascinating artifacts and facts as well as a wonderful ride at the end. We went Sunday morning when it was quiet so no queueing
Great experience. Thank you . Fantastic atmosphere and great staff.Awesome feelings and pride. Thank you!!!!
Another tick from my bucket list. 🎢 RISE NY: FROM FEAR TO EXCITEMENT! 😱😂🗽 I would recommend this for newcomers to NYC, a great method to educate how NYC came about. The admission fee is a bit expensive but it’s okay because of the ride - from thrilling to exciting. It's more than one (1) hour from going through the galleries till into the ride. Our “elevator” took us up to what felt like the 27th floor before we moved into another room, buckled ourselves into our seats, and got ready for the ride. We had to leave our bags behind because nothing was allowed on board. Then our seats turned, and we were warned that we’d be dropped toward the ground! 😱 As someone who’s afraid of heights, my anxiety kicked in immediately! I closed my eyes, wondering what I’d gotten myself into! 😂🙈 Suddenly, we were SOARING ABOVE NEW YORK CITY! 🚀🗽 My stomach was churning as our seats moved, and I kept my eyes closed until I finally gathered the courage to open them about seven minutes into the ride. Ps. When we passed the river and closed to body of water, we felt water flashed on us!!! OMG! The view was incredible! 😍 My fear turned into a mixture of screaming, laughing, and excitement! I couldn’t help it! 🤣❤️ Sorry if I was too loud! 🙈😂 I wasn’t the only one screaming, but the others were too far from my iPhone’s microphone to be heard! 🤣🎤 From terrified to thrilled — RiseNY was an unforgettable experience! Would I do it again? Maybe! But next time, I’ll try opening my eyes sooner! 😂❤️ Photo souvenir of course ☺️ to purchase both digitally & in hard copy. $20 for the bundle.
Fun experience. It is both a mini museum of TV,Film,Broadway, and Rock/Pop,but the best part is the flying simulation over NY. ( Similar to Soaring over California at Disney)
Was ok. Ride at the end was great. The rest of the tour was very average. Needed a bit more to it really
Event started timely. Information very informative and we greatly enjoyed the virtual experience ringing the new year. Speculated!
Very entertaining, Great way to learn about some of the history and see New York from above and I would definitely recommend.
I began the 1st hour of my 1st visit to NYC with RiseNY. It was fun, exciting and offered an understanding of the city and how it came to be what we know it as today.
The experience was immersive, captivating, educationtional and fun. I took 2 10 year old girls and they loves it.
This museum has done a phenomenal job of letting you see firsthand how New York has changed over the years, along with contributions the city has made to our country. First thing you do is sit down to watch a little movie. The room is designed to make you feel like you’re on a subway car, with a little bit of motion as well well it feels like motion it’s not really. There are all kinds of artifacts and posters of music, TV shows, movies that have begun in New York. My favorite thing was at the end, where you sit in a seat buckled in, and the seat moves in such a way that makes you feel like you are literally flying over the city of New York. The entire experience of the museum itself is about two hours long, and if you are familiar with some of the TV shows, you might want to spend a little more time.
It was better than expected. It was Soo fun. The staff were excited to be there and oh so helpful. It's a one and done event, but I would come back to bring others.
This experience would not be for everyone. The walk through the passageways at the beginning was moderately interesting, but the ride at the end was fantastic. If you like Soarin' over California at Disneyland or EPCOT, you will love this.
I learned a lot of little details about the city I live in. This is a must see, very fun experience.
The Sky Ride was very good. The pre-amble leading up to it was OK. Had some interesting information.
This what's up entertaining event lots of information in the museums and then the the ride through New York seeing it from the sky was really fun I wish it was longer. At the start of the ride it says you're going to go through all five boroughs but it does not identify the Burrows as you're going through so you don't know where you are other than that it was fun.
The ride is only 5 minutes Enjoy seeing some History of New York Radio. Music. TV. Broadway. But feel each gallery could have had so much more
I didn’t expect to see so much history of New York, it was a great addition to the experience. The soaring ride through NY was comparable to a soaring ride in Epcot! Nice!
A great snapshot of NY history and culture. It’s was like a theme park attraction and museum rolled into one.
RiseNY was one of the few "tourist attractions" that I had never done despite having been to NYC many times. This one was entertaining and I would encourage visitors to give it a try. The museum talks about the grown of NYC from a small Dutch island to the mega metropolis that it has become. There are special features on radio, television, music, fashion and more, with great artifacts along the way. The experience ends with a soaring journey over NYC with a disneyesque video experience. The ride lasts about 5-7 minutes, but it was outstanding. The entire visit lasted about an hour, but you do it at your own pace. This is definitely a place with visiting when your in NYC.
The museum was fun, the virtual ride was slightly uncomfortable at first but lots of fun, enjoyed it!
I really enjoyed this experience. I wouldn’t make it a priority but it was a really fun way to spend an hour in Times Square whilst my family were resting in the hotel and really interesting to see the various exhibitions!
Different experience with a short history museum and the ride. Not crowded at all. I did the ride alone.
Great experience. I brought my daughter for her birthday, she had a blast. The roller coaster was amazing
We visited Rise NY museum and experience the first evening of our stay in NYC to get a broad overview of NYC and American history in an efficient and memorable package. The museum presentation and experience is well done and has the right mix of exhibits and depth to keep both knowledgeable and new individuals engaged with the history of NYC's rise from its founding. The Alexander Hamilton and final view exhibits stood out to me as on par with something out of MGM studios in Walt Disney world. Pictures at the torch on the way out were a nice touch as well. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Rise NY to anyone wanting to learn and experience history.
My entire group had an amazing time. There was some much to interact with. I learned a few knew things about the great New Year Eve ball drop. The grand finale of the exhibit was amazing.
It was overall a good experience, but we expected the soaring portion to be a little longer. The exhibits were very informative, we just weren't sure how much time we had to go through them. It would be helpful to have a little more guidance on the first part of the tour. Also, the elevator and waiting to the 2nd soaring part was too drawn out.
This is a different kind of New York experience. It is definitely not a skyscraper experience but you do go up high at the end! It is split into 3 parts - the first is as if on a subway ride through the city's history, followed by seven immersive galleries but the best is saved until last when you are lifted 40 feet into the air on a soaring 4D ride, flying over all five boroughs through a year of celebrations. There is even snow falling on you during the Christmas part of the ride. As Brits, we did not recognise all the references in the seven galleries but we thoroughly enjoyed the overall experience and would recommend it. We would have been happy to do the end ride again and again.
The trip was extremely hectic. Some of the subway tracks that we needed to take to get to our destinations were closed for the weekend and we have no idea we’re Taurus so we need to run here and there with the kids and it was exhausting. the kids were annoyed. But at the end of the day we made it to at least one of the attractions which it was the rise of New York. We made it to that one, although we lost a lot of money, which is Ludacris today because we never made it to the other attractions on time because we were so lost with the subway being shut down for the weekend. I would recommend your site to friends however I would let them know that somehow when they get there, they need to find out which subways are shut down for the weekend. I don’t even know how we can figure that one out when we are not New Yorkers.
We enjoyed this experience, our favourite part was the ride at the end which was brilliant and very immersive!
A fun way to take in the sights of NYC while being educational! Give yourself at least an hour to truly take in the content of the museum before flying around NYC!
It was a rain day in the city so we bought tickets to this experience and it didnt disappoint. The ride was great and you got a feel for all the parts of the city.
Great experience. Loved the ride! I would highly recommend this place for a family outing. Staff was super friendly!
I went to the corner of 8th and 42nd where it used to leave from. I missed the tour and am very sad about that. I am here for two weeks so can I please come again. I desperately want to do The Ride. Loved it 2 years ago.
We thoroughly enjoyed this experience. It was interesting, educational, and the virtual flyover is absolutely thrilling. However, this experience is not geared for young children. We felt it was well worth the ticket price.
Great tour & information about NYC. The adventure at the end is nothing to be afraid of & super fun!!
This is a fun interactive for any age. It's a great way to start your NYC trip so you can see all the city has to offer!
We very much enjoyed Rise NY. I would recommend better signage, as we were on our way out, disappointed that it wasn’t what we expected. However, a very nice employee asked us if we were on the ride and we said no because there was no signage or, if there is one, it’s not prominently displayed. Thankfully we ran into him and, because of that, I am leaving a good review.
It was breathtaking, an experience I would suggest to anyone. Great family fun and historic education for the person with a New York State of mind!
The museum was interesting, informative and held special meaning to me, as a native New Yorker. I appreciated the inclusive history that was presented in fun and interactive ways. The ride at the end was a great way to end the experience.
I would like to say that it is very expensive This place is more for people who like history and like to pay attention to detail when it comes to New York history, but I wouldn’t say it is worth it. I don’t think it’s for kids. It’s like a quick walk about 15 minutes or less. The only thing good about it is the six minutes at the end, that’s literally the only good part about it. Everything was a walk by for people who don’t like history. It’s very very quick and I think it’s expensive for two people a little over 100$ KEY takeaways (expensive)( very short )and for people who like (history) but not worth it for the price
NYRise was fantastic! We had a wonderful experience. The museum was very unique. The simulation ride was amazing, taking us on a breathtaking sightseeing tour of New York City. It was a great experience. I’m from New York City. I’m glad we visited the museum.
This was my favorite event in NYC...even more than the top of the WTC. What fun with the interactive museum and the ride. Highly recommend!!!! The employees were bland...no excitement or real service, they were just there to get a paycheck. Don't let their dullness make you think this won't be an incredible experience. Little things like having no popcorn in the movie viewing area, and asking an employee if there was any popcorn, with a response of "if it is gone, there ain't no more". This was a 3:00 on a Friday....and while the crowd was pretty small, the wait was pretty long. We were told at the entrance the entire event would take 45 minutes. With the waits inside, it was 70 minutes. This made a difference as we had to head to the airport. Totally recommend!!!!
This simulator ride was great. You felt that you were right there as the ride took you all over NYC. I wished it were longer as we enjoyed it so much. Even though we took the full Big Bus tour, this still gave us a fun unique perspective.
This ride is literally a five minute ride. There is so much more of New York that they missed a great opportunity to show more of our beautiful city.
Staff should tell customers no cell phones. I could not fully enjoy the experience because a guy was on his phone the entire time being rude speaking loud in German.
Definitely tells several stories that at my age I can relate to and found interesting. I’m a history enthusiast too. The ride at the end is phenomenal!!
A great experience would highly recommend it, very informative and the ride at the end is amazing. A great time for everyone.
It was an amazing educational but fun experience that you got to do at your own pace………………………. Thanks
Great experience showing the history of NYC! The ride at the end was fab too. Definitely recommended if your visiting New York.
