Chris was a wonderful guide and I would rate this five stars if it were just him. The ferries really brought it down to two stars. The description said “private” and “luxury,” it was not. It was crowded (way too many people stuffed in a boat—three ferry trips for this event) and what we thought might be early entry was not. Packed, all of them. I would never ever do this in any sort of busy time, but this was a Monday in November, how will this ever be less packed? Never ever again for us, but, again, Chris was a great guide.

Liam Was Absolutely Fantastic! History Came Alive! First of all, I LOVED Liam’s English accent! What a refreshing change from the nasal California tones I’m so accustomed to hearing! 😂 But beyond that, Liam was an extraordinary tour guide. His knowledge, enthusiasm, expressiveness, and wonderful storytelling made history come alive! He didn’t just recite facts—he transported us back in time. It was like watching a play unfold before our eyes! I was fascinated to learn how wealthy New Yorkers, including the Rockefellers, were reluctant to contribute to the funding needed for the Statue of Liberty, and how newspaper publisher Joseph Pulitzer came up with the brilliant idea of appealing directly to everyday Americans through his newspaper. Immigrants and ordinary people donated whatever they could afford—even 10 or 15 cents—and received recognition for their contributions. What an incredible story! From the French visionary who dreamed of creating a lasting symbol of friendship between France and America, to Pulitzer’s fundraising campaign, to Emma Lazarus and her beautiful poem that became such an enduring symbol of hope for immigrants, Liam brought every character and every moment to life. I also appreciated how receptive he was to my questions, observations, and contributions. He made the experience feel like a wonderful conversation rather than a lecture. Liam is knowledgeable, engaging, expressive, gracious, and a truly gifted storyteller. I learned so much, laughed, and came away with an even greater appreciation for the history behind the Statue of Liberty. If you’re fortunate enough to have Liam as your guide, you’re in for a real treat! Five stars all the way! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Tour guide was fabulous. James was funny, informative and friendly. He kept us on time and told us many interesting facts. Gave us suggestions on places to eat and directions to various other New York landmarks. Well worth the money to book a tour instead of going on your own.

Billy was a great tour guide. Very knowledgeable and told Us lots we didn’t know . Always willing to answer questions. Didn’t understand the booking of express lane for ferries that you supposedly paid for as it all one lane and one ferry so think that bit misleading if you paying extra for it.

We really enjoyed the tour. It was easy to book and our guide Joseph was absolutely amazing. His research and storytelling about the history went well beyond some of the information we were able to see in the museums.

Hard to locate meeting point due to construction! Guide was great but weather was horrible hard to enjoy guides knowledge when it’s pouring rain on you. Not enough time at Statue of Liberty.

Booking was very simple, the communication was excellent and everything was very well organized. It was very simple to find the tour starting point even with all the construction near battery park. The guides were very friendly, provided an enormous amount of information and were very attentive to ask questions or help folks on the tour as needed.

My daughter and I enjoyed Jacob’s guided tour. He incorporated numerous pertinent facts about both sights and included visuals on his phone. His presentation was organized, contained some detail, and was entertaining. The length of the tour was in proportion to the cost in my opinion. Our group size was nice, about 20 people.

Excellent experience leaving at 9am - early to avoid the crowds, assisted by James’ tips and tricks for navigating the boat. We like the interactive experience much more than reading all the boards and our guide had a wealth of knowledge - and some excellent ideas about what else to do and where to go in NYC.

Chris did a great job on the tour except he is not a stand up comic, otherwise he was great Would go on a tour with him again.
