Dennis was an excellent guy, articulate knowledgeable and passionate about Central Park and gave us a good overview. He spent more time than he needed to, he was very engaging with myself and my daughter, and we thoroughly enjoyed him and the tour.
Dennis is an incredible guide, with immense and tremendous love for New York, his knowledge and tips was inspirational. Highly recommend him as an initial tour for logistics and tips that you will welcome on days to follow. Dennis is easy and easily adapts to everyone. We went as a family with children…we all loved him!
We liked the description of this tour and gave it a go. From the time of booking, Denis kept in touch and the whole experience was just lovely! He’s very knowledgeable and we loved doing the tour with him. It was fascinating to walk through the different boroughs and get a feel of the vibe that each of them have. Definitely worth the money! He kept checking from time to time to make sure he was covering the places as per our liking. Also got some great recommendations on places to visit and dine. Getting to know a bit about the Italian culture and heritage, learning how to ride the subway and also some good pictures along the way are definitely a plus.
A wonderful experience. Denis was personable, listened to what we wanted to do, and was so sweet. Wonderful disposition and made us feel like we had known him for years. Very well versed about all things NYC. Highly recommend.
Loved the tour Dennis was the most fabulous tour guide. It was a private tour and he arranged it for all of our needs. He went over and above the call of duty
If we could, we would give this tour 6 stars! We had an amazing afternoon with Denis! We started in Brooklyn, went to Dumbo and pebble beach, walked the Brooklyn bridge and ended in Chinatown and Little Italy. Walking the Brooklyn bridge is a must do! Denis was even kind enough to throw in a little shopping time for our daughter. If we are back with friends, we will do again! Thanks, Denis!
We loved the tour that Dennis designed for us. He took into account all our suggestions and was able to fit everything in and even added a few extras based on our curiosity as we were following the route. To hear about New York City history from a guide with an Italian accent added so much character to the tour! We've got a few great restaurants suggestions too.

Denis is an incredibly enthusiastic and passionate tour guide with an impressive depth of knowledge about every aspect of the city. We toured as a family with our 16- and 12-year-olds, and Denis managed to keep all of us informed, engaged, and genuinely interested throughout. Our only regret is that we didn’t book more time with him! We had four hours scheduled and couldn’t extend due to afternoon plans—but we easily could have spent much longer exploring with him. Denis is so generous with his time and so eager to share his love for the city that you never feel rushed. His passion for New York truly shines through. From iconic buildings and diverse architectural styles to famous actors’ and singers’ homes, along with fantastic local recommendations, Denis is a true wealth of knowledge and offers exceptional value for money. I highly recommend booking a tour with Denis at the start of your vacation. He’ll open your eyes to non-touristy locations, hidden avenues, and streets you might otherwise miss—and help you start thinking like a true New Yorker!

Denis, was an amazing tour guide, fun friendly and very knowledgeable, he showed us what we wanted to see and what we didn’t know what we wanted to see,Denis even came to our hotel as we found the subway a challenges , and made sure we got back safely at all times, if you go to New York you need a Denis
Worth every penny! Denis helped us decide what to do and hep create a custom itinerary. He was very accommodating. I planned ten times more than I should have and he tried to help us get as much as we could get done. He helped me customize on the fly as we added way too many stops. I would recommend asking him for more input on what is realistic. I would recommend anyone working with Denis. 5 out 5 stars!
Highly recommended guide. We relied on him during our mornings on our first trip to New York. In just four mornings, we managed to see not only the most touristy places but also those that are usually less visited but equally fascinating. Above all, the guide helped us getting into the history of the city, its dynamics and mentality. He was always friendly, kind, helpful, and attentive to our needs, even the small ones. Highly recommended tour!!!
The tour of Harlem was very interesting. We learned a lot about the history of this great area. Our tour leader, Dennis, has so much knowledge. Highly recommend!
Denis was a great guide and was very flexible with me and my young boys! We enjoyed spending the day and seeing NYC with him!
Denis is an excellent tour guide. He is extremely knowledgeable in every attractions and areas we visited today. He made my visit to NYC a memorable one. I would strongly recommend him to anyone who needs such service. He is excellent at his job.
Thank you Denis for the walking tour of Harlem. You showed us the complexity of the community’s history over the last 140 +years. It made us want to learn even more.
Perfect Private Tour – Checked All the Boxes! This private tour with Denis was everything we hoped for and more! He gave us a great mix of tradition and history in Harlem, vibrant street art and character in Mott Haven, and stunning skyline views from Long Island City. Denis was knowledgeable, friendly, and kept everything running smoothly. It truly checked all the boxes and gave us a deeper, more authentic view of New York City. Highly recommend!
What you won’t get from a tour with Denis is someone reciting some dull AI-written script. Instead expect to see the city through the eyes of someone who seems to be infinitely curious about and knowledgeable of everything from history and architecture to trivia and pop culture. Both times I’ve been on tours with him his enthusiasm, depth of knowledge and sense of humor made the experiences memorable and fun. Big recommend!
Denis was great, would have no hesitation in recommending. He wrote to us in good time to exchange ideas. He confirmed the plan, but was flexible to change if needed. He listened to what we wanted and delivered. We were 3 females travelling to New York for a short time. He made us feel safe. We wanted to see things that you don’t see on the group/tourist events. Then of course visit the Icons and we felt we could do that ourselves. Denis seemed genuinely interested in our conversations and even gave us some time at the end, no extra charge- he called it a birthday present for one of our group who was celebrating her 18th. Too, he gave her some recommendations for a good restaurant. We had such fun, thank you Denis.
I booked this tour for my parents who came to visit me here in New York. Having just given birth, I didn't have the chance to take them around NY, so I tried looking for a guide who spoke Italian and could accompany them on foot and show them the major attractions of Manhattan. I couldn't be more satisfied with the service received! Denis was truly exceptional, going well beyond my expectations. She met my parents at a meeting point convenient for them and accompanied them to discover Manhattan, showing them the most beautiful and interesting places in the city. Denis is an extremely knowledgeable person, with an in-depth knowledge of New York and a lot of information and curiosities to share. In addition to her professionalism, she was very friendly, helpful, and thoughtful, making my parents feel safe and comfortable while they were visiting a city they did not know. She took care of them throughout the day, making sure they took breaks when tired, ate a slice of pizza for lunch, and returned home safe and sound. This meant a lot to me! I highly recommend her services to anyone who wants to visit New York and have a pleasant, interesting, and worry-free experience. I will definitely share her contact information with anyone coming to New York, because finding such a competent, kind, and reliable guide really makes a difference! Thank you from the bottom of my heart for the excellent service!
Denis was an excellent guide who accompanied us on our discovery of Harlem!
We are in New York on our honeymoon and we had the pleasure of spending a morning with Denis who asked us what tour we had in mind to do, we trusted him and went to discover the New York that citizens live every day and it was a fantastic experience, because we discovered many things about the daily life of this city. In the end, he also provided us with excellent tips to continue our vacation. Highly recommended!!
Morning spent walking around Harlem, enriched by explanations of American history. Denis is a reliable, knowledgeable, and kind guide.
Pleasant walk in Harlem with Denis, a very knowledgeable guide who showed us many aspects of an underrated neighborhood. Recommended.
Passionate and competent guide. It helps you experience NYC in the corners to the most unknown.
We spent 2 amazing days in New York thanks to our guide Dennis. Right from the start he was professional, prepared and passionate about the city. He alternated between the great classics (Manhattan, Brooklyn...) and less touristy but more local places (flushing.....). Thanks to him New York was not only a destination to visit but an experience to live intensely. Highly recommended to anyone who wants to discover the city with different eyes and in the company of a truly exceptional guide. Grazie Dennis
Great private guide in New York. Perfect amount of flexibility for organizing a personalized tour, with numerous points of interest throughout the tour on various points of view: the choice of characteristic and iconic places of NYC, anecdotes and curiosities both cultural and social. Advice on meals to eat and places to visit independently.
Denis was a fantastic guide, the places seen were much appreciated as well as the anecdotes and story he told us along the way. He is very nice and helpful, easygoing and with many interesting ideas to share. My girlfriend and I highly recommend it!
We did the private tour of central park with Denis. It was a wonderful and super prepared guide. He made us rediscover all the wonders of the park between history and curiosity. Get to know all the iconic places of the place between past and modern movies. New York is a beautiful city but he has the ability to make you fall in love even more. Simply the top. Oh, congratulations. If we ever needed another tour we'd definitely know who to call.
Meeting a trained and courteous tour guide is what every tourist hopes but meeting and knowing also THE PERSON who will then inevitably be associated with that trip is a great fortune. My family and I have had this luck. Denis has the gift of transmitting to his clients not only notions but also his passion for NYC and, thanks to stories and personal anecdotes, is able to make the tours educational but at the same time fun (fundamental point for those traveling with children). Denis is very helpful, carefully follows the needs of customers, creates empathy and provides support (which is absolutely not obvious) even after his hours are over. Super!
We reached out to Denis for a tour of Harlem. We were curious to know more about NYC beyond the glittering peaks of skyscrapers at whose feet a diverse city of humanity swarms. Denis is a person who is understood to have studied a lot about this city, and this continent. He told us the story of Harlem: its construction and the alteration of its inhabitants, the contradictions between the architectural beauty and the misery of certain historical periods, the splendor and decadence of the myth of jazz... he took our gaze as Italians and made us wear the glasses of citizens of the world. It was like meeting a long-time friend who gave us great empathy for this city. The long chat we had while walking through the neighborhood was so significant that I didn't take any pictures because it would seem to me to disrespect the intensity that he was transmitting to us... After the hours spent with him we savored every moment in the city with great emotion and when we visited the Moma, where in a room the works of Jacob Lawrence were exhibited, it's as if the sequence of his paintings on display came alive and the painted scenes were in motion thanks to Denis's story. Thank you!
During my recent visit to New York, I had the pleasure of exploring two of its most authentic and dynamic neighborhoods – Brooklyn and Queens – accompanied by Denis, a local tour guide. The experience turned out to be much richer and more engaging than self-guided tours or standard audio guides. Brooklyn Denis took us through areas like DUMBO, Williamsburg and Park Slope, telling local stories, historical anecdotes and cultural curiosities that only a true New Yorker can know. We tasted local specialties in artisan markets and bakeries, and observed the architectural evolution of the neighborhood, from the industrial past to artistic and residential transformations. The tour also included a walk to Long Island with tales of the bridge's construction and its symbolic significance for the city. Queens In Queens, the guide was able to convey the multicultural soul of the neighborhood. We visited Jackson Heights and Flushing, where you can breathe Indian, Latin American and Asian atmospheres. The guide organized a sort of “religious world tour” with stops in temples and untouristy streets, which we would never have discovered on our own. The urban context was accompanied by explanations of how immigration shaped these places, creating one of the most ethnically diverse communities in the world. A highly recommended experience for those who want to discover the true soul of New York beyond Manhattan, with the precious guidance of those who live the city every day.
We came across Denis’ blog by chance, in the exhausting search for a guide who did not propose stereotypical tours. Impressed by his way of telling the city, we opted for a full-day and a half-day private tour. We explored neighborhoods such as the Bronx, Harlem, Queens Williamsburg, Dumbo, Brooklyn Heights, Bushwick and more, with the good fortune of being able to enjoy the beauty, authenticity and contradictions that only a keen, curious eye like Denis s could tell us. He immediately understood our interests and our curiosity, accompanying us in the two most beautiful and exciting days of the trip. A careful and well-prepared guide, full of contents and stories that go beyond the classic aseptic descriptions, typically proposed on mass tours. Thank you Denis for the two days together, we will definitely return to enjoy once again your view of this incredible city.
We were lucky enough to have Denis as our guide during our trip to New York, and we could not wish for better! Prepared, friendly and passionate, he made us discover the city with new eyes, telling us curiosities and stories that we would never have known alone. His way of explaining is engaging, never boring, and he really manages to convey the soul of New York. He was always available, attentive to our needs and with infinite patience. Thanks to him our journey was even more special. Highly recommended! Thank you so much Denis!
