Itinerary
See the famous facade of the NYSE, the largest stock exchange in the world, as you learn about its historic roots and how it shaped global financial history in ways no one thought possible.
The Federal Hall we’ll visit isn't the original, but this is the place where George Washington took his oath of office. But the current building is historic too, a Greek Revival masterpiece built in 1842 that once served as a customs house.
Hear the surprising story of an NYC banking dynasty as you admire this impressive building inspired by Italian piazzas.
See the towering steeple of beautiful Trinity Church, but don’t miss the historic churchyard in its shadow. Here, Alexander Hamilton lies buried.
Hear stories on how New York evolved from a Dutch trading colony to the financial capital it is today.
See outside the Castle Clinton National Monument, once a fort to protect New York Harbor, and enjoy panoramic views of the Statue of Liberty across the bay.
See the famous symbol of American commerce, often called the Wall Street Bull, and snap a photo to commemorate the occasion!
This Beaux-Arts landmark was built in the early 20th century to collect duties. Learn about its history and significance as you admire its architecture.
Discover the impact of this day on the city and the world as you pause for a moment of reflection at the country's largest man-made waterfalls
Tour the Canyon of Heroes at Battery Park, and learn about ticker tape parades in the place where they were born.
Take the ferry to Liberty Island for a self-guided tour and to see the Statue of Liberty up close. Crown and Pedestal access is not included. You can also visit the Statue of Liberty Museum and afterward, if you’d like, continue on to Ellis Island to explore the immigration museum. Your roundtrip ferry ticket is included with this tour.

Jay was great. He was personable, knowledgeable, and had a sense humor.
Highly recommend this tour of downtown NYC, ground zero and WTC area, plus ferry tickets to Liberty and Ellis islands. The tour guide was gracious, very knowledgeable and kindly answered all inquiries. Will do this tour again in a heart beat.
This tour was very informative and insightful, guide was experienced and helpful, offered insights and answered all inquiries. Great walking tour of downtown NYC.
Jim Q was a great story teller and showed great emotion and sympathy for everything that happened on 9/11
The tour company canceled at the last minute. The excise: no other guests. So…. Let’s make this a regular occurrence for them. DO NOT USE EXPERIENCEFIRST THEY ARE A TERRIBLE COMPANY THAT DOES NOT LIVE UP TO THEIR COMMITTMENTS
Dave was friendly and knowledgeable. Our family of six had a great experience and learned a lot along the way.
The tour was cancelled and we did not receive email, text or phone notification until an hour before after the taking time and expense to get to the meet up location
Justin was fantastic!! He gave a wonderful and informative tour. Very friendly and fun!
Our guide Amy was extraordinary. Highly recommended this tour. Amy’s knowledge on f the history of New York was fascinating so much so even our teenage children were intrigued. The walking portion was beautiful and an easy walk. The Statue of Liberty experience is definitely worth the add-on!
This was an outstanding tour. Ross, our guide, a native New Yorker who was in the city on 9/11 used all his knowledge and experience to bring the tragic story to life. Not only did we visit and hear details about the day itself but masses of interesting and relevant background to the events prior to 9/11 followed by the story of the post 9/11 reconstruction and remembrance. Strongly recommended tour.
With the exception for the pouring rain on the ferry to Liberty and Ellis Island, all was very, very good! Paul is very knowledgeable on NY history and was very entertaining during his presentation.
Our instructor was amazing, very informative, I added his picture, because I could not remember his name
We had an amazing experience on the NYC in a Day Tour with Mindy C. She was incredibly knowledgeable, friendly, and passionate about New York City. Throughout the tour, she shared fascinating history, local stories, and hidden gems that we would never have discovered on our own. The pace was perfect, she kept the group engaged, and she was always happy to answer questions and offer recommendations for the rest of our stay. Her enthusiasm for the city made the entire experience enjoyable and memorable. If you’re visiting New York and want to make the most of your time, we highly recommend taking this tour with Mindy C. It was one of the highlights of our trip!
Tour was well worth it. Very informative presentation with personal insights from a local tour guide.

Our guide was very knowledgeable, friendly and a true New Yorker. He answered all questions, and gave even gave information about things not on the tour. He walked slowly so everyone could comfortably keep pace & took breaks for photos.
Very knowledgeable , great tour
Our guide, Jason who did our 9/11 tour was amazing. He painted a riveting picture of the events of that day and the aftermath.
We had Amy as our tour guide. She was fantastic and very knowledgeable. Amy was lovely and great to be around. Highly Recommended.
Great experience for such a somber topic. *The only suggestion would be to include in instructions for meeting by the gelato stand at the Oculus, is that you have to enter the building and work your way to the center ground floor to meet the guide and group. We weren't certain about entry into the building or not, but thankfully arrived early. Great experience afterward!
First time to 9/11 site and memorial. Our guide James was very informative and also assisted with additional places to go and see outside of this tour.
Kevin did an excellent job, both explaining the significance and depth of the surrounding area whilst providing deep personal touches of their own background with the area and events
A great on-the-ground intro tour of Manhattan area. Visited several top sights and also learnt a bunch of practical info about getting around. Our guide Mindy was interesting, passionate about her city and a wealth of knowledge. We had a great day with her. Highly recommend
Our guide Dan was knowledgeable and accommodating to our request to alter our trip slightly to include one extra building (It was easier as we were the sole participants) Had a great day walking the city and Dan was able to bring the city to life. I felt really safe and comfortable.
Experience First made our stay in the US truly unforgettable. Their travel services in New York, Washington, and LA were incredibly smooth from start to finish, and everything was organized with great care. The tour guides were excellent, knowledgeable, and very friendly, which made the entire experience even more amazing. I would highly recommend them for anyone looking for a seamless and enjoyable trip.
So glad I did this instead of ChatGPT. What’s more than knowledge is the humanity, local stories, and hearts that makes traveling so special. Thankful for the tour guide!
Very informative tour and a wonderful experience.
The expense is well worth it. We were given details that we would never have known if we had done this tour on our own. We had ample time to ask questions and walking was not excessive. Our guide was knowledgeable and professional. The experience is amazing. I would definitely do this again. You should definitely do this tour if visiting New York.
We had a fantastic guide called Alice, who went above and more she told us so much and was happy to answer any questions. She asked us if we were all okay as it was a very hot day. I would give Alice 10 out of 10 and more.
Tim Douglas from Experience Tours was excellent. Highly recommend very informative and easy to listen to. Had some great stories.
Kevin was an excellent tour guide. Lots of interesting info! Very personable as well!
Paul was excellent tour guide. Really knowladgeable with an excellent humour.
The tour of the financial district and the memorial was great! Tour guide Ray was very informative and passionate! The only minus which was no one's fault was the crowd getting onto the ferry.

Best experience Sean was great with personal stories. Highly recommend.
this walking tour was very good and just the right amount of walking. Our guide, Tony, did a great job of keeping us moving and telling us lots of good infor. Ross was absolutely amazing. So helpful and careful with how he presents his story of the tragic events but is so sensitive and tells it beautifully. Thank you so much for an amazing tour!
Ross was great. His personal experience enhanced the tour!
We were taken back by how sincere and truthful our guide, Alan, was with us. Very informative, very truthful, very respectful of the time and places he showed us. I was not expecting his level of sincerity and we are grateful for the experience with him.
