Niagara Falls Night Illumination Tour On American Side

Tour guide didn’t show up. We stood in front of Hard Rock Cafe from 8-9 p.m. in the cold. We tried all the phone numbers provided. Generated system did not recognize my booking or confirmation #. Staff from the cafe experienced the same responses as us…nothing. Viator phone number responded I didn’t have anymore bookings with them other than the one the day previous. Not only did we not get to see the illuminated lights at $111 for our tickets, it cost $10 to cross back over back into the US. Will take 72 hours to hear from Viator and we will be flying home by then. Very sad business setup. Will not book with them again!!

We were scheduled for and paid for 90 tour. We were to it will be 60 minutes. Our guide didn’t show up

It's a walking tour that shows all 3 falls at night while they are illuminated. At thr end there is a firework display.

The tour was a nice walk to get up close to the horseshoe falls but not a nice view of the lights on the falls. Fireworks could be seen from anywhere. Don’t waste your money on this one!

If you are blessed to have Mark as your tour guide, you will be overly excited and expectations exceeded. Mark was personable, professional, and quite knowledgeable. Moreover, he was timely and I felt just went beyond the norm. We will return!

Be aware: This is a walking tour! If you’re not able to walk for 90 minutes, choose something else! In fact, my senior citizen friend and I booked same day, and by the time we realized that we had paid $99 each to WALK around, we couldn’t get any sliver of our money back. We feel misled. Also, the title says American Side, but it starts on the Canadian side! Total rip off. Maybe Mark is a very nice guy, but are we the only people who have been deceived in this way? I doubt it.

That it is not clearly advertised that the tour leaves from the US side & not the Canadian. For locals it might have been obvious but for overseas visitors it was not. Therefore we missed the tour as we were waiting at the Hard Rock Cafe on the Canadian side & by the time we worked this out with the guide who was there 5 minutes late anyway @ the correct meeting point, there was just not sufficient time to cross the boarder on foot without making it a very late & tiring night. Plus it was suggested the view from the Canadian side which we could see from our hotel was better anyway. We were advised to cancel & request a refund, which we did but did not receive. As there were six of us, this was an expensive lesson we didn’t need.

Booked from Australia, didn’t realise tour was out of the US side of Falls waited outside Hard Rock Cafe Canadian side. Other tour booked on same website picked us up from hotel which is why there was confusion.

Don't believe the hype about "the Canadian side" begin better. This tour takes you up close to one of the most spectacular natural wonders in the word. It's amazing.

Oh my goodness, it was such a fabulous experience! out of all the tours that my friend and I did in Niagara Falls… This one was my favorite. It was so beautiful to see everything litup at night and Marc was a fabulous tour guide who had so much information and was so much fun. Truly a great experience.!

Guide didn’t show up. Didn’t contact. It definitely was a scam and they don’t reply to your messages

My son is 11 we traveled just the two of us. Brian was awesome. Very informative and kept this interesting. My son learned a lot.

Need to specify that it was a walking tour. Not worth the money. Guide was great but thought it was a totally different experience since we’ve been here before

Was awesome seeing the falls got wet but I as very worth it. I’m just seeing everybody should experience. It was awesome.

Our tour guide, Brian, made it feel like we were visiting an old friend, with his personalized stories and wealth of information! He made it a point to interact with everyone in the group as we walked between points of interest, and if he shared something significant, he made sure to go from person to person to make sure they heard. My kids are 15 and 10 and they loved it, and enjoyed him thoroughly! I would highly recommend!!

It’s a lot of walking, but a great experience! Ben did an awesome job explaining all the details of the falls!

Tour guide did not show up and w head to wait for 45 min and finally tour guide sit it show up. Worst experience

Our guide Bryan was warm, friendly, positive and knowledgeable. He took great pictures of us near the Falls and provided a unique perspective on Niagara Falls since he is from this area.

Tour guide never showed up, never answered the phone either. We literally ended up walking the whole tour route for free. Don’t pay for this!

Could have walked the same places at night that we did during the day for free. Tour guide was almost late. Kept waking way ahead of the group and didn’t spend a lot of time at each location to allow for photos. Guide spouted off a few facts and then was ready to move on to next spot. I didn’t ask about any photography related stuff as they didn’t seem to be knowledgeable or concerned with that.

I could not go because I had hip issues and could not walk distance. I tried to call tour guide to answer but no answer. I finally got in touch with viator who said they would request cancelation. Got email saying no refund unless I provide Dr's excuse which is ridiculous for missing tour to walk to falls which are free plus it started at 830pm . There were fireworks at 8pm which we drove too.

our guide mike was helpful and knowledgeable but the tour itself is a rip off we just walked into the park to see the falls which we easily did ourselves earlier before the tour the IT stated that you will be guided to different vantage points to see the falls nope! we just went into this one crowded spot and that was the end of this rip off tour! i want my money back!

I was called two days in advance to tell me that I was the only person who signed up for this. They offered a few options. I could not take the other dates they offered. I didn’t want to pay an additional surcharge to have a personal tour. They ended up agreeing to refund my charge for the reservation.

Guide was great. Love the information he gave us. The falls are beautiful at night. They're something you will want to see if you come.

I ask if this was a ride tour was told yes I am unable too walk long distance and was told no problem, get there it is a 5 mile walk. Could not do this at all. Call next morning was told not there problem

Was my first visit and I really enjoyed it. Will return again for more tours. The night illumination was beautiful.

That the tour guide was excellent very friendly knowledgeable and nicest person u woujd ever want to meet a great friend made our trip memorable hooe to see him next year when we come back to Niagara Falls ny

We were very surprised that this was a walking tour. There was 4 of us and 2 out of 4 have disabilities not allowing us to walk that far. I immediately told our tour guide that we thought we were taking a boat ride. I expect a full refund since we could not take the tour. I message Helen requesting the refund. Thank you Becci

Absolutely terrible I would not recommend for any friend or family. She did not talk the whole time she took off my husband was lost and she had no idea and I took off eventually to go find him and she had no idea I even left. I want my money back with a total waste of time.

Dadash was an excellent guide, polite, professional, pleasant, and very knowledgeable! The illumination tour was spectacular. I would recommend including a viewing spot from Rainbow Bridge as it made the entire experience!

The experience was Not good. The weather was horrible cold and raining and the fact that it was a walking tour that bit of information should have been noted more clearly. The tour should be titled “ Niagara Falls walking lighted tour

Our tour guide was very friendly and open to questions. He was very talkative and made the experience smooth and enjoyable. Our favorite part was walking down to Luna Island to see the lights on the falls.

Our guide was so nice and kept the walk very interesting. He spoke to us and wanted to get to know us with our short time we had. Very good conversationalist.

The Falls being lit up at night. Went to a few restaurants where the food and service was exceptional.

The illumination of the falls was breathtaking . So beautiful all different colors. We enjoyed the experience. It is truly Recommend that you experience this nighly event when you visit the falls

The tour guide told us that we had to be there 15 minutes early for check-ins and called us at the time we were supposed to leave that she would be late. She was not loud enough to hear almost anything clearly. The tour guide didn't pay full attention to the group and instead was taking calls from others while the tour was still going on. I also learned almost nothing about the park or history of it. I would not recommend this to anyone going. It was a complete waste of time and money.

Excellent Experience... Niagra Falls is a must see lit up at night... Pictures do not do the Falls justice, it is something that needs to be seen by your own eyes to experience its total splendor...

Very misleading! Not what I thought it was. Highly disappointed . I thought this would be a boat your not a 90 minute walking tour in which my 78 year old mom couldn't do .

Don’t be a sucker like me!!! We had a reservation for 7:30pm and no tour guide showed up! I complained and received a call at 7:49pm after the time of the reservation claiming it was 8:30pm so definitely false advertising and they hopefully they will make this right by giving me a full refund.

Our tour guide never showed up. We traveled from Atlanta for my husband's milestone birthday trip. Disappointing that this part of his celebration fell through. Especially when it was booked in October for December. (well in advance)

We had Nicholas as our tour guide and he was so personable and knowledgeable. He made the tour so enjoyable. 10/10

It was horrible we had to wait in the cold for over an hour The guide explained that is was a mixed up with scheduling we had 7:30 and she had 8:30 She was very nice friendly and knowledgeable but it was hard to forget the wait The falls were beautiful with the Christmas lights
