The first stop is a guided walk into Central Park and a visit to Columbus Circle.
The second stop on the tour is Rockefeller Center, for outside views of St. Patrick's Cathedral, the location of the ice skating rink and Christmas Tree (seasonal), and NBC's Today Show set.

The third stop is on Fifth Avenue for great views of the Empire State Building. This area provides spectacular views of dramatic architecture featured in numerous books and films: the Flatiron Building (Godzilla, Spider-Man), the Metropolitan Life Insurance Company Tower (The Runaway Skyscraper, Futurama), and the Empire State Building (King Kong, Independence Day). We drive by Madison Square Park - the original location of Madison Square Garden Arena, and the tour continues with a drive through some of NYC's iconic neighborhoods, such as Greenwich Village, Soho, Chinatown, and the Financial District.

This is a wonderful introductory tour of the New York City highlights. The van was comfortable. Our driver and guide were superb.
There was a marathon on 10/31:26, so there was no vehicle in front of location and nobody had a sign designating Viator tours so it was really hard to tell if we were in the right place. We walked past it once and kept going because we didn’t see the correct vehicle there. Later we found out that the vehicle would pick us up a few blocks away and we would do part of the tour on foot first. Perhaps because of this delay at the beginning, we didn’t visit Central Park which was disappointing.
Saw lots of stuff. Alberto is very knowledgeable . More walking than I anticipated.
Highly recommend this tour. Kevin the tour guide & Betty the driver were wonderful. Learned so much about New York and saw many sites. It was a great day!
The tour was great. The tour bus and the driver were fantastic. The tour guide John was amazing, and the areas we went throughout New York... Manhattan were fantastic.
What a beautiful experience! Very well planned and you see so much in a day!!! Every stop was well done and you leave the tour feeling like you’ve seen all th highlights!
Albert was our guide, very knowledgeable and friendly! We very much enjoyed as this was our first time to NY and we got to see most areas of interest.
We had a wonderful 6 hours on a very comfortable deluxe tour bus! Our guide was Kevin, who entertained us with stories and songs based on his amazing knowledge of NY history! Lots of stops and walk abouts, including some very moving moments at the 911 site. The Staten Island ferry ride was an epic final adventure before heading back to midtown Manhatten. Highly recommend this to anyone wanting to know more fascinating info about this Big Apple!
Tony was great! We when ran a little late due to traffic and he waited for us. Definitely recommend.
My husband had not been to the city and wanted to see and learn about as many things as possible. Kevin was the perfect guy for the job. Betty drove us all over the city and Kevin shared so much info, it was a great 6 hours that I would highly recommend. Fun and informational in a very comfortable bus, what more could a New York City newbie want?
What a great overview of NYC! Packed a lot in to one day with lots of good information. Tony was the best tour guide and Betty was a great driver. Exceeded my expectations. Well worth the price of admission.
Enjoyed the tour. Got to see a lot of the main highlights. Would be best for those with only a couple of days in the city. For those with more time, this is a good way to see different spots and then come back for a more relaxed visit for specific parts - e.g. 9/11 memorial museum. Our tour guide Tony was great.
Kevin was very informative about NYC , and Betty the driver was exceptional as well. Plan on 6 hours, gave us a great lay of the land and if in town another day you can always go back and visits stop longer, it is only a walk of taxi ride away.
Walter is the absolute best tour guide anyone can hope for. His humor, knowledge of the area, and overall personality is a perfect fit for guiding a large group. We absolutely recommend this tour for anyone who is visiting NYC for the first time, or visiting again after a long while. Don't miss this tour, worth the money and a day well spent.
Tour and guide, Walter, were fantastic! More than just a highlights tour. Walter's knowledge was a great addition. It's a smaller group setting than the big bus or top view and was a very nice blacked out bus. Walter knows the best spots to stop for snacks, bathroom breaks and lunch. Showed us all the best photo ops. We definitely felt like VIPs on this tour. Highly recommend.
Overall, the tour helped in exploring many aspects of New York. The initial male Guide up to Central Park was very good and courteous. However, the Lady Guide who joined for the rest of the Tour was NOT up to the mark. She had no idea about the number of persons in tour, did not bother to take a roll call and was not able to communicate well with the participants.
This tour was fantastic Kevin the tour guide is amazing! He has so much knowledge and is friendly and engaging
It was a great way to see the city in one day! The tour guide gave fun facts and recommendations along the way that were very interesting!
I decided to take my family, my umi and baba, and my aunty Lo. on this tour and overall, it did not disappoint. It was fast paced and informative. I took my 3 year old son and 7 year old daughter along. To be fair, this tour is not suited for the average, young child (attention span, etc.). With that said the tour guide was understanding, enough... my parents and aunt are elderly so we lagged behind the tour group the entire time. Other than the short 30 minute lunch break, the experience was good. If you are looking for something to do on a Saturday morning, this is a good option. THANK YOU, Kevin and Jimmy ...my family and I appreciate you!
Tony and Betty made our tour experience very memorable. Tony gave us a great history of each location. This is the second time using Viator and wouldn’t use anyone else. Thank you!
Travelers should know that it is very interactive. You don't just ride on a bus all day but it's on and off and experiencing the atmosphere and people. The tour guide Tony is wonderful and very friendly and knowledgeable about New York but other things as well!
Tony was a great guide. He was very knowledgeable. Betty was a great driver. The tour was a great way to see the city!
This six hour bus tour was packed with more than I anticipated. Driver was extremely knowledgeable with a twist of humor. There was no way we could have ever seen this amount of places, if we did this on our own. Well worth the money. Highly recommend this company!
My 14yr old daughter loved the tour. Great way to see some of the most iconic NYC locations. Highly recommend don't book dinner until after 6. We went 10-4:30.
Tony and Betty were great! We had a good time and would highly recommend to others. Tony was knowledgeable and kind to everyone.
What an incredible experience! Tour guide was encyclopedic in his knowledge, authentic in his delivery.Truly awesome experience.
Great tour that covers a lot of the best spots. Rhonda our guide was amazing! She engaged with all passengers throughout the entire tour. Highly recommend this tour if you are here for a short time.
Alberto , our tour guide was incredibly. Very knowledgeable and informative. Our group has mobility issues but Alberto was very patient and helpful. Our driver was excellent also. Will definitely book with this company again
Travelers should be prepared for moderate walking through out the experience. The visits to Central Park, the 911 memorial Park, Rockfeller Center and riding the Staten Island ferry were worth the experience. Rhonda our tour guide was awesome and knowledgeable about NYC. Our bus driver Tony did a great of navigating through out NYC. Past by the iconic buildings and neighborhoods in New York.
Seemed dragged out and then rushed at the end. Leaving passengers behind on statements island. Guide rushed everyone off the ferry and back onto the ferry. Leaving a few behind. So we had to wait on the bus for the other passengers to take the next ferry. You could also add voice boxes. Could not hear the guide talking 80% of the time. Very nice guide and driver though.
If you only have one day to explore New York City this is a great tour. Our tour guide was very knowledgeable.
I have to be honest and say that we were disappointed. A waste of my day and my money. This is certainly not the first organized tour that my teenagers and I have taken. We spent most of the time on the bus. Although the guide demonstrated a great deal of knowledge and expertise, the tour felt more like a rapid-fire PR campaign for various spots around the city — “You should visit here, you should visit there.” The Central Park tour was short and disappointing, while the time spent at the 9/11 Memorial was far too long. Overall, we genuinely found the tour boring. On top of that, there wasn't a single moment of silence on the bus, and at some point on the way back, the constant talking became exhausting. At least we returned at a reasonable hour, which allowed us to enjoy the second half of the day at a relaxed pace, without having to rush from one place to another. Overall, the feeling was that the tour tried to cover too much and ended up achieving too little. It's a real shame.
Good overview of New York City south of Central Park. Level 3 of 5 in activity with stairs and walks. Frequent on and off bus made time for rest between walks. Nice new bus. Lyonel good guide kept us on schedule nicely. He was especially sensitive to the Ground Zero portion of the trip and its significance. Tour really really needs a microphone for guide. Better yet we would pay more for Vox hearing devices so could hear guide and he could better keep up with group. Staten Island portion not much value add just over and back. Nice quick lunch break in clean venue with many food choices. Bathroom stops just right. Enjoyed the tour and recommend.
Fantastic overview of New York with Charles. He was informative, interesting and caring. Don’t miss this and then if you have time go back to sites you want to see more of.
Great tour, highly recommended. Guide Tony was very informative and professional. He also gave great tips about NY. The driver, Betty confidently navigated the busy streets of NY.
Good intro to New York on our first day. Idea of the size of the city, and main attractions. Ferry ride was enjoyable.
Awesome tour of NYC. Great sights, fantastic experiences and a wonderful guide in Tony and driver Betty.
Very informative. You see so many interesting sites that you can go to and spend more time exploring
Guide was very informative, knowledgeable, pleasant and can sing pretty well also. 😊 It would be something I would recommend to others.
Fantastic way to see Manhattan in 6 hours. Tour guide Charles absolutely made the trip. His unbelievable knowledge, he never stopped talking.
Fantastic way to see Lower Manhattan and get a great idea of what there is to offer! We saw lower end of Central Park, stopped at Rockefeller Center, saw the Today Show being recorded, got a great history lessons re so much in the city, saw WallStreet and the Bull, a brief stop at 9/11 pools, got to go on the Staten Island ferry, went by Statue of Liberty, Korean town, China town, little Italy, saw Canal Street, Empire State Bldg and so much more! Totally worth the money and time - our tour guide was great!
It was great! The host was very friendly and knowledgeable about the New York area. Great story teller. I wish we had more time at the 911 Memorial cite. and an opportunity to take a picture of the Luis Vittan Building
This tour highlights modern New York, with stops at key landmarks and fascinating stories from our knowledgeable guide, Tony. It’s informative and gives you ideas for places to explore further on your own. That’s exactly what we did at Central Park, booking a one-hour pedicab tour and visiting John Lennon’s Imagine mosaic memorial. ❤️
This tour is a great way to experience the highlights of NYC especially if it’s your first trip to the city! Tony, our guide, was very knowledgeable, gave great tips, and was very articulate, accommodating, and kind.
I would have liked a little more time at the 9/11 memorial. We were supposed to have 45 min, but I doubt we had that much time.
Rhonda is very knowledgeable about History, Politics, fashion, and geography of the USA and how New Your City evolved with the rest of the country. It was fun and easy to get drawn into the events and people involved of that time period.
Wonderful experience highly recommend for the first time visit to New York , amazing tour guide , a day full of information in a nice and friendly & professional way
Absolutely wonderful! If you don’t have many days in nyc and want to see a lot this is the tour for you!!
