This was an awesome food tour. I’ve done many but this was different in that you got to select your own food choice at each stop. This was perfect for my sister as she’s a picky eater. The stops were great choices and on top of that Corey gave us a list of suggestions for the remind our time in NYC. Corey was engaging and had great neighborhood info. Highly recommend.
Corey was a very informative tour guide. Provided a great selection of restaurants to visit and provided history of the Hells Kitchen area. As we were staying a further 7 days, he provided numerous other restaurant locations for us to visit.

As of writing this on our final day in NYC, my wife and I canceled our pre booked high end dinner reservations for tonight and will be going back for another bite on one of the tour stops! This tour was AMAZING. Not only do you get to experience some neat, local food places that you would not likely go to on your own, but the tour really fostered comradery amongst its participants. The tour guide, Cory, was fantastic. He had so much local knowledge and was happy to chat. Recommendation for this tour came from my cousin who did it 10 years ago, and honestly I think the tours have just gotten better! Absolutely would do the tour again next time I come.

And you’re free to try whatever you fancy rather than items that would be included and chosen for you, all with advice on what to have from Corey if you asked. The food stops were great, not places we would have tried without the tour but we enjoyed them all especially the savoury choices.
We really enjoyed this trip. Possibly better described as a very gentle stroll rather than a walking tour but nonetheless Corey was knowledgeable about all things New York and showing us local and off the main tourist route places to eat. I recommend you do it at the start of your visit to New York as Corey provides additional tips about places to try for reasonably priced and quality food options, which are helpful for the rest of your trip. We visited 5 eateries.....3 savoury and 2 sweet/bakery places. We appreciated the recommendations from the guide as it can be quite confusing/overwhelming to decide what to chose.....we just went with what was recommended and weren't disappointed. A few things to note: 1) go hungry 2) be prepared to take food away (we couldn't resist buying food from the 5 stops but couldn't eat it all) 3) the trip doesn't include the price of food (neither does it pretend to - this isnt a criticism) so take cash just in case. We picked up some tips and ideas about places to eat off the beaten track and it gave us confidence to stray away from the easy options when finding somewhere to eat.......and the recommended places were cheaper (and very good quality) options.

Highly recommend!!! I bring teens to NYC every summer and we try to make Corey and Food on Foot the start of the week. This is my 7th tour and they’ve all been fantastic! Corey knows his stuff and takes you to top notch flavor at a reasonable price. My kiddos love it because it feels like a real slice of New York neighborhoods from a genuine New Yorker. It’s not uncommon for my students to ask for a repeat meal/snack later in the week from tour stops. Corey also gives recommendations for the rest of your stay and they are always on point! Can not recommend enough!

The tour exceeded our expectations. The guide took us to places we probably wouldn't go without his recommendation, the food was good and really not expensive, considering we're talking about NYC. We thoroughly enjoyed the food tour. We tasted amazing food and my personal favourite was trying an espanada for the first time. Corey is a superb guide and knows exactly where to get hold of the most tastiest food and he is so knowledgeable. I only spent $40 on the food for the whole tour and my daughter and I were full. We were given lots of recommendations for restaurants to try which we will definitely be trying during the rest of our holiday. I would highly recommend this tour. This was my husband and my first trip to New York and we really wanted to be able to experience the local food favorites. I ended up purchasing Go City passes and Food on Foot Tours was one of the suggested recommendations on their website. We have never been on a food tour before and didn't know what to expect. Our guide Corey was amazing!! He was super friendly, knowledgeable and definitely encouraging for the experience of New York local eats. Every stop we went to had a delicious and delightful experience of what makes NY eateries so special. I was surprised to find myself unable to compare the foods to something I would find in San Francisco (where we're from). Each stop left me curious to try even more of New York. It was truly a unique tour and not only would we absolutely go again, but will recommend it to anyone traveling to New York in the future!

Fantastic day out with Corey. Unfortunately it absolutely bucketed it down and we were unable to do some of the usual activities. Nevertheless the food we had was delicious and not too expensive. Also Corey gave us some recommendations for local restaurants. Would recommend to all.
I’ve been to NYC many times and go once a year for business and usually stay within the confines of my touristy hotel area, having an opportunity to take a tour with Corey was a fantastic experience. Corey truly knows some delicious and affordable hot spots just a few black over from the crowds and was happy to recommend other places for the rest of our stay. Everything was so good and I can’t wait to go back to same places with my colleagues next year. Highly recommend to see what it’s like to dine like a local.

Very enjoyable food tour! We experienced a wide selection of foods, all of which were delicious. A recommendation would be to keep portions to a minimum in order to save room for the other stops (I made the mistake of eating a breakfast bagel quite close to when the tour started and then was struggling at stop number 2...). Corey was a fantastic guide who's extensive experience really showed. Towards the end of the tour he lets you in on his top picks for a variety of cuisines which was an unexpected but incredibly valuable touch!
Absolutely loved our tour - our guide Corey was really knowledgeable and you could tell he was actually excited to show us his local favourites and give us a little history of his neighbourhood We've been asked not to share the stops publicly as they were from our guide's personal list - but everything was absolutely delicious and reasonably priced, I think I said 'this might be the best [insert-food-here] of my life' at least 2 or 3 times! Since the stops aren't shared online, we were a bit apprehensive about booking as one of our group is vegetarian and we wanted to make sure she wouldn't go hungry, so we asked Corey up front and not only did he reassure us there'd be something suitable at every stop, but midway through the tour when he was giving the tour group his best restaurant tips, he made a point of name-dropping some veggie-friendly places for us. Great tour, great experience, you won't regret it!
More than ten years ago I already joined Corey's tour once. Being back in NYC for two days I was very happy to see that the tours still run. The concept is very different from other food tours, as food is not necessarily included in the ticket price. You have also the option to pay as you go. I love this idea because this way you can order whatever and how much you want. We also got great restaurant recommendations. The places we stopped at were amazing. I especially loved the tacos. Another element that makes the tour special is the social aspect. I happened to be with friends on both of the tours, but I often travel solo, so I very much appreciate that Corey helps people to get in contact with each other. Thank you so much, Corey!

Excellent tour. With a wide variety of different food stops (we had 3 savoury and 2 sweet) we enjoyed all of them and all had different favourites, which was great. It was good to get a guide on how much to order at each stop so that we could make sure we could still eat at the stops later in the tour. Would recommend doing this early on in your visit to NYC, as Cory gave us lots of restaurant recommendations to try, that way you have time to fit in visits to some. As well as the food it was great to see parts of of the city away from the tourist areas and eat in local food places that we would never have found or tried

This tour is a MUST DO if you’re coming to NYC! We’ve been here five times and every time we come this is the first tour we book. Cory knows his food, that’s for sure, and we’ve never been disappointed. There is always amazing new places to try, and Cory is always so great about giving us recommendations for the rest of our stay - which is so awesome. New York has arguably some of the best food on the planet, with such great variety, so it’s always such a treat knowing that we can go eat every day at a “Cory Approved” place and get the best meal for a great price. Cory’s tour also promotes mingling with others - and if I’m being honest I’m not a huge fan of this usually, but every time I’m on this tour I meet some cool people and end up really enjoying this part as well. We can’t come to NYC and not do this tour. If you’re looking for a true experience into how locals eat, book this tour. Corey is a food lover and knows all the BEST places to eat that aren’t overpriced. This last trip we bought the NYC pass and literally walked off a couple tours as they were so canned and generic. This tour is authentic and different every time and the list of restaurants he shares end up being the only places we eat at and we are NEVER disappointed. He knows the secret spots only the locals do, and is willing to share that knowledge with the people who go on this tour. If you’re looking for a unique and authentic experience, BOOK THIS TOUR. This was an outstanding tour of some great food places I probably wouldn’t have found on my own. Good ability to stretch your comfort zone if you’re adventurous when it come to food. Also good ability to stay safe if less adventurous. My 18 yo son and I enjoyed meeting people from all over the world as we toured. Great experience!

Corey was so knowledgeable. Really great food spots for those eating on a budget. I would try out some.other tours when I return. 3hrs seems a lot but it isn't too much walking (all around a few blocks) and there is time to sit and enjoy as well as chat with your tour mates.
