It wasn’t the 90 minutes we paid for. Nothing for sale on board as far as drinks. Definitely wasn’t what was advertised, spend your money elsewhere.

Proposed and she accepted, I had it all planned and was awesome. Definitely was a great experience totally
My mom and I were very excited to take a 90-minute boat tour of the New York harbor. We arrived at 4:15 to make sure we would be on time for our 4:30 boat tour, but the boat didn’t leave until 5:15, during which time we stood outside in the cold. The windows of the boat were very dirty, making it difficult to see out. The boat went super slow, so we didn’t see as much of the harbour as we would have liked. It basically went around the Statue of Liberty and then came back. And, it didn’t even last the full 90 minutes, more like 80 minutes. As we started moving, there was no narration of what we were seeing. We asked them about a guide, and they put on a poorly-made recording which was 10 minutes behind and did not match up with what we were seeing. On the way back, they played middle-eastern music with very loud base noise, which was uncomfortable when sitting next to a speaker. I couldn’t wait to get off the boat and do not recommend this tour.
Our trip got cancelled citing weather conditions whereas I was a witness to other tour operators going ahead and hence unsure of the reasons for the trip cancellation. Also I went all the way from Kearny NJ with my wife spending about 100 USD which got wasted. Never ever will use Viator
Very beautiful views, great spots to make pictures with sunset, good personal on bord , best cocktail
We left late, it wasn't the 90 minutes we paid for, we missed the sunset which we thought we were going to see, and the blaring music the whole time was terrible!
Terrible, not at all what was advertised. Not enough seating. Beers insanely expensive. No commentary to go with the harbor cruise. Would not recommend this to anyone.
We booked the 90min tour and it did not last that long. The boat was very loud and there was not much outdoor seating available on the boat.
The boat arrived an hour late. I had chosen a time to watch the sunset, but it was already dark by the time the boat arrived; I didn't pay for a night tour.
Do not book this cruise!! The cruise left 32 min late from the advertised departure time and was 58 min long and not 90 min as advertised!! The crew was very unprofessional and certainly not in any kind of uniforms but instead grubby dirty clothes. We were 32 min late leaving but instead of departing the crew was busy taking drink orders and serving them from a cardboard box. The boat was crowded, barely enough seats outside for half the passengers and absolutely filthy and in need of repairs. Would never recommend this boat cruise to anyone!
Pretty basic cruise could’ve been a little bit better employees could’ve been a little more interactive, but other than that, it was fine
Other than the rain it was beautiful. Hard to get to. Had to walk around the pier to find it. The water was very sloppy
This was absolutely terrible. There were two boats of groups of people waiting and it was chaos. There were no red shirted staff but only half ass workers who didn’t know anything. The boats were over 30 min late and confusing as to what boat was for whom. There was about 200 people waiting and no organization or info. People were irate and getting angrier. Our boat arrived 35 min late looked run down and too packed with no place to sit. So we left. I’ll never book with NY Skyline again.
Please do not book this ! We decided to do this sunset cruise while in NYC for the weekend. We got to location and it was chaotic and disorganized from the start. We finally got checked in and waited in line to get on boat . However, we and about 20 or 30 others were not allowed on because it was over sold. We watched the boat leave and no one came up to explain or give us a refund. We had to track the workers down to ask about a refund which the reluctantly just gave us a email address to contact .They were overall rude and unprofessional. I am now in the process on working with Viator to rectify this . I have used Viator many times and never had an issue with the tour operators they use , but this was inexcusable and Viator should not associate with this kind of company. Hopefully I will get my money back. By the way , the boat only had a small space that was open air , most of it was inside looking through windows. Definitely not what you expect for a sunset cruise!!
When I arrived at the location mentioned on my ticket, the people there informed me that the cruise ship had been canceled.
The check in lady was so rude to us and we s aw her talking down on her own employees. We even saw the woman tell a customer "l o nly speak English so you speak it too". We st arted late and ended super late as well. Poorl y timed wasted a lot of our time, told us we n eed to be 30 minutes early and the ride didn't even start until around 5:30. The ride was onl y supposed to be 1.5 hours and they poorly m anaged it and took so long to dock. The view of the Statue of Liberty was beautiful but wou Id never book with this particular company ag ain
The ferry it’s not clean and doesn’t look nice at all. Also, no one talks or explains anything not even when we got close to the Statue of Liberty. There is NO SUNSET
Caution - this cruise is not as advertised. The information on pickup (slip number, who to check in with, etc.) was completely incorrect. The cruise was slated to start at 4:30. We got to the slip at 4:15, and there were no boats anywhere. A boat (not branded at all as in the tour description) finally arrived at 4:30. We asked the crew if this was somehow our boat, since there was no other in sight. They said it was, so we joined the line to board. I paid for the 90-minute cruise, but ours only lasted an hour. There was also no narration from the crew on when we were passing key sights listed on the itinerary. The ship is old and shabby.
I booked with Viator over a month in advance for a 11 o’clock sailing. The day before the sailing I was called to say there was no 11 o’clock sailing, so I chose the 12.30pm instead. On the morning of the trip, we were on our way to the event when we received a call stating the boat had mechanical issues and we could move to a 12.30 pm sailing we advised we couldn’t because we had other commitments and would like a refund. An hour later somebody called again, offering a 2 or 4 o’clock sailing, again we told him we had other commitments. I book three trips through Viator and two cancelled. I received no real apology and will not use Viator again!
To be honest I don’t recommend this to nobody the cruise driver never showed up waited more then 2 hrs and the people at the gate were not helpful at all
This was such an amazing experience for your first time in New York City it was my partners first time and he wanted to see the statue of liberty with this tour you get more then just that living in the city all my life there was so much even I didn’t know our tour director was great and so funny if I’m not mistaken her name was Megan she was great and so informative I will say it goes get chilly on the water so bring a light jacket if your prone to getting cold easily but it was truly such an amazing tour they even stoped in front of the statue for ppl to take photos professionally and just regular pictures on the tour you do get one free photo anywhere on the tour except the statue of liberty and Brooklyn bridge it is 15 for digital and 20 for printed photos at those locations it was so nice to be on the water they also go sell snacks and beverages alcohol and non alcoholic on the tour over all 10/10 depending when you book and what time you will have a really pack boat weekends are usually busy hours where it will be kinda hard to move around but the weekdays are a breeze just be prepared to be bumped into by accident and if it wasn’t an accident say something a lot of people are not from the city and don’t know how to be polite good luck have fun!
The tour was organized in a good enjoyable manner. Boarding and disembarkation were smooth, the speaker was good.
Our trip was planned to have an evening cruise. They cancel by texting that it was at a different pier that was too far to reach. Then they say the following day for a time but we leave for the airport. I would not trust this company as far as I could throw them. They are pushy and don't care about their customers.
Molly was an excellent tour guide. She provided a lot of good information. I would definitely recommend.
No show by operator. Waited 15 minutes past meet place at 0 slip Pier 36. Called vendor who said he would get back to me. No word as of yet and trip remains.
Bumpy ride but so much fun. Plenty of viewing space. Lady Liberty up close was priceless. Lots of really good pics.
Good experience. Good pricing. Good spots on the ride. Easy to get to! Overall positive experience. Will recommend it.
Short and sweet! The crew was helpful and fun! The person who shared all the historical info over the loudspeaker knew her stuff!
I couldn’t make it as I suffered a medical emergency. I tried to contact the operator to cancel it before the scheduled trip. No response received to my phone and on-app messages. Called a number and left a message but no response received. I had to go ahead and canceled it on the app, but I see that my $69.98 charge was not refunded. I guess they applied 24-hr cancellation policy although it said free cancellation when I purchased the tour for two on the same day! I would like get a full refund. I used TripAdvisor so many times before with good experience, but this time it was terrible and I am very much disappointed. I will regain my trust only if my $69.98 is refunded. You can call me at 6268267560 or email at myrahi@hotmail.com to discuss. Thanks.
The trip was canceled and they are giving me a difficult time with refunds. They just cancel it without notice. It I am not reimbursed, I would not recommend it to anyone
Difficult to find exact location. And the entrance isn’t well marked. Hard to know if we were in right spot for the ticketed cruise. And others were expressing similar confusion
It was great and I enjoyed the time. My friend told me she enjoy it as well. We will be coming again th enjoy the experience
The boat servers texted me and told me the 7:30pm experience was not sailing, and I would need to arrive for the 4:30 sail. In other words, I was charged $99 for late cruise, but forced to take day cruise, which is cheaper I want my offset refund please and thanks!
Don’t pay for this. There was no boat for us we arrived early but were told if we had gotten there earlier we could have made it as the boat had just left. Why did they not text us and tell us to come earlier? Our time was 4:30 and we got there at 4:15 and the boat was just leaving and we couldn’t get on.
Planned departure was 10:50, they asked via email to be there 15mins before, but there was no boat or staff, until 11:40, then had to wait for another 30mins to depart. We felt like 2nd class people..
We pay this experience to go on Ellis Island, make a stop at the immigration Island and the tour was supposed to take 90 minutes. What a surprised we and other peoples have when the staff tell us that we will only go in front of the Statue of Liberty and come back ??? A real scam
It was an experience to cherish. It is nice experience with friend or family. I enjoyed the music as well.
We got tickets via Topview went pier 40 and took the cruise, had commentary of what we were seeing, got chatting to one of the crew and got on well. I would highly recommend this to everyone, just for the views.
What I purchased was not what we received. I purchased 90 minute sightseeing for Statue of Liberty. It was only 60 minutes. Also, my information stated 4:20 pm but was actually 4:30. We are from out of state. We got there around 3:30 because unfamiliar with location or check in process.
The site was selling tickets but the boat line was not running, no prior information indicating we would not be able to board. So we lost the cost of the tickets plus transportation to and from hotel. I will repost if Viator is willing to reimburse me the $ 200 plus dollars I’m out, and of course the BS I had to put up with from the wife ugh!!!!
My scheduled boat cruise owner cancelled my scheduled tour and Viator did not notify me of this problem/change or cancellation. We showed up to a leaving boat from another company. I messaged Viator yesterday (after this occurred) and as of a day later still no response from them. In this automatic and advanced communication age, I would expect notification from a company and am very disappointed and unsatisfied with aviators complete lack of communication on this issue. The only reason we found out of the cruise liner was because of staff from ANOTHER boat operator when we arrived for our scheduled tour at pier 36. Not happy
The boat never showed up! I waited by the pier and the boat never showed. I checked the address 5 times.
Interesting to see the history of New York. The Statue of Liberty and the bridges were amazing. The weather was pretty nice and the water was great.
Enjoyed the time i was on the boat with friends & family. We could see the Statue of liberty close up
Stunning views of NY at night and the Statue of Liberty was mesmerising Way to find, safe and good information about the local surroundings
Nice tour, but shorter than advertised. Was supposed to start at 4:20. Didn’t start until 4:40. Was supposed to be 90 minutes but ended in less than an hour.
Went to pick up boat and told no cruise at this time . Very disappointed as I had booked this gor my last night of my holiday
terrible boat condition, started late, overcrowded. Not recommended at all. The pier is also bad, there is nothing to do there.
Beautiful cruise worth the ride on the waves! Best way to see NYC at sunset. Highly recommend this to anyone visiting. Great fotos and memories with my little girl!!!
We enjoyed seeing the statue of liberty the most, just wish we could have gotten better picture. They put as many people on the boat as they can and you are just standing there, can't move and it was hot so you feel like you can't breathe!!!
