Itinerary
Our tour's starting point. A colossal figure of Columbus stands atop a column pierced by three boats, the Niña, the Pinta and the Santa María, on a pedestal adorned with commemorative inscriptions and a winged figure examining a globe.
One of the most favorite attractions in the park since it was first launched in 1871. 250 thousand people ride the carousel every year.
The historic Chess & Checkers House is currently home to one of Central Park’s five visitor centers managed by the Central Park Conservancy. Surrounding the octagonal brick structure are 24 game tables shaded by a wooden trellis.
The Dairy is Central Park's largest gift shop, offering a wide range of products for a wonderful day in the Park and thoughtful gifts for your loved ones. Conveniently located mid-Park at 65th Street, the Dairy is easily accessible. Plus, every purchase supports the Central Park Conservancy, so you can feel good knowing that your contribution helps care for the Park
Located in the southwest corner of the Park, Umpire Rock is named for its location in what was Central Park’s first playground, a large open meadow where children could play games. From the same location you will be able to see the Wollman Rink.
For over 100 years, The Plaza has been the New York hotel to see and be seen. Kings, presidents, and stars of stage and screen have all gathered and stayed at The Plaza. It is also most known for being filmed in a famous 1990's movie Home Alone.
The bridge brings visitors over the narrow neck of the Pond and is also a popular spot for enjoying an overview of scenery and taking photographs.
The Central Park Zoo is home to animals from tropical, temperate, and polar regions. One of its most prominent features is the sea lion pool and tank, located in the center courtyard, which is visible from outside of the Zoo. Other exhibits feature snow leopards, grizzly bears, penguins, and more.
One of the most beloved monuments in the park. Balto became famous after a heroic journey across Alaska. In January 1925, an outbreak of diphtheria threatened the population of the town of Nome, Alaska. Weather conditions prevented the transport of vaccines from Anchorage by plane. A relay of dog-sled teams and mushers provided the only alternative.
SummerStage is an outdoor concert and performance series organized by the City Parks Foundation. It is held on an open sports field in the park called Rumsey Playfield.
The posh, residential Upper East Side is known for its wealthy denizens, fancy restaurants and designer shops along Madison Avenue. It's a pretty neighborhood, with a mix of classic brownstones and upscale high-rises. Museum Mile, a stretch of 5th Avenue next to Central Park, draws crowds to cultural institutions that include the Metropolitan Museum of Art, the Solomon R. Guggenheim Museum and El Museo del Barrio.
Bethesda is a large plaza consisting of two levels as well as an Arcade and a Fountain. The Terrace is a popular destination for relaxing, people-watching, and admiring the architecture and the scenery. At the center of the Terrace stands Bethesda Fountain, also known as Angel of the Waters, one of the Park’s most beloved works of art.
The Mall is one of Central Park’s most significant landscapes - a wide, straight path lined by two rows of American elm trees. The southern section of the Mall is known as Literary Walk because of the numerous statues of writers added there in the 19th century.
Named for the cherry trees that bloom in this landscape each spring, Cherry Hill is a popular destination overlooking the Lake. Its sloping lawn is an ideal place for picnicking, relaxing, and enjoying views of rowboats on the water. Visitors flock to Cherry Hill in spring to enjoy the pink and white blooms of the Yoshino cherry trees.
Bow Bridge got its name because of its low-lying and graceful curve that resembles the bow of an archer or violinist. It is a prominent spot that offers expansive views of the Lake and surrounding landscapes. It’s one of the most photographed Park features and one of the most romantic, serving as the site of numerous wedding proposals.
Strawberry Fields is a memorial to the British rock musician and peace activist John Lennon (1940–1980). It also includes the Imagine mosaic, where many come to pay tribute to Lennon. The memorial’s name is a reference to the 1967 song Lennon wrote and performed with the Beatles, “Strawberry Fields Forever.”
The Dakota occupies the western side of Central Park West between 72nd and 73rd streets. It is largely square in plan and built around a central H-shaped courtyard, through which all apartments are accessed. According to a 1996 article in New York magazine, many brokers classified the Dakota as one of five top-tier apartment buildings on Central Park West, largely because of its residents, large scale, and "historical prestige".
Tavern on the Green, the restaurant located in the historic building once known as the Sheepfold, has been a destination for fine dining in Central Park since the 1930s. The restaurant recently underwent a years-long renovation during which some of its many additions were removed to expose more of the original structure and provide more variety of dining options. Tavern on the Green reopened in 2014.
Pinebank Arch is an elegant cast-iron bridge that spans the bridle path. Designed to be integrated with the landscape, it seems to emerge from rock outcrops on either end, and its lacy ironwork almost blends in with the surrounding foliage. The bridge is often photographed and is a popular spot from which to survey the surrounding landscapes and take photographs.

We took a 2 hour Pedicab tour through Central Park today. We had a fabulous time riding through Central Park with our tour guide Barrie who made the trip extremely enjoyable. He was informative , very accommodating, and quite personable. As you know, Central Park is quite massive and the only way to get an overall view of the Park is by booking a pedicab tour. We enjoyed our 2 hour tour so much that we booked an extra hour with Barrie, so we could enjoy a more in depth view of Central Park. We want to thank Barrie for a wonderful day. We thoroughly enjoyed exploring Central Park with him. We rated it as one of our best activities that we have done so far. We highly recommend the Viator New York Central Park Guided Pedicab Tour. We also recommend Barrie because he will ensure that you have a pleasant, enjoyable trip.
Several stops at places in the park were interesting! Ibraham, our guide was great! Viator is always dependable!
Our tour guide Mohamed was the best. Very knowledgeable about Cental Park. He was kind and patient as he let us take pictures at different sites around the park.
I'm so glad we did this! This was a short trip and it was perfect way to spend an afternoon. Our route fuide was super knowledgeable and made the experience engaging and relaxing. My daughter loved seeing all the movie locations he showed us. 10/10 I absolutely recommend!
We had the most amazing Pedicab tour with Barrie. Barrie is a lovely man who gave us the perfect tour. He is knowledgeable, funny and was great company. He also showed a lot of interest in our home countries of Australia and New Zealand which we enjoyed talking about. Highly recommended.
Such a fun experience! Ali was so knowledgeable and great. Our experience would not have been the same without him. He told us endless facts about the city and took amazing pictures of us on our adventure. This is a must do and see! I completely recommend this experience but you must ask for Ali! Don’t forget your tip money!!! Xoxo “Rebekah and her Lawyer.”
The tour was fabulous . Barry our tour guide was excellent so informative and funny as well . Would highly recommend to anyone visiting.
So fun and relaxing. Great ride around Central Park and our tour guide was excellent, very knowledgeable and very fun to be with. We’d definitely do this the next trip to New York and would hope to get the same tour guide.
We had a fantastic time on our pedicab ride around Central Park. Our guide Barrie was a hoot - lots of interesting facts about the park, video clips of film locations, and super funny. He was interested in us as a mother-daughter travelling pair, and we had some interesting conversations in between the funny bits. He also took some lovely photos of us, knowing all the best back drops round the park. He has a real talent for photography. Would highly recommend Central Park Attractions - the trip was brilliant.
Columbus was so knowledgeable and interesting. He made our visit to.central park awesome! I would highly recommend.
Barry was amazing guide myself and Wife enjoyed the tour even in the rain he was a great guide and so friendly made are trip definantly recommend took great pictures
Book Barry!! Barry was an absolute legend — super friendly from the moment we hopped in and full of fascinating knowledge about the park, the history, and all the hidden gems you’d never notice on your own. He made the whole experience fun, relaxed, and genuinely memorable. The tour was worth every penny and then some. If you’re visiting Central Park and want to see it properly while learning a ton and having a great laugh along the way, ask for Barry. Couldn’t recommend this experience more!
Despite the freezing temperatures we had a wonderful tour of Central Park thanks to Barrie who was so knowledgeable and friendly. He offered to buy us hand warmers before we started but we braved the cold under the fleece blanket provided! The snow covered Central Park looked beautiful and Barrie took time to stop and point out lots of places of interest accompanied by videos of film clips and news clips. Being a Home Alone fan it was great to see The Plaza and find out more of its history. Barrie also took some great photos for us which are some of our favourites from our trip to New York. I would definitely recommend Central Park Attractions for the pedicab ride, a fixed price so you know what you’re paying with no hidden extras. Barrie is a superstar - if you get him as your guide you’re going to have an unforgettable time.
Barrie was an exceptional pedicab guide; Knowledgeable, funny, and genuinely kind. This was a very special trip to NYC with my mum, and our Central Park ride was one of the absolute highlights. Barrie took incredible photos of us that we will treasure, and his thoughtfulness made the whole experience feel really personal. He even made sure I did not miss out on a banana pudding from Magnolia Bakery 🥹. A truly lovely person who helped make a special trip even more memorable. Highly recommended.
We had a great pedicab tour with Barry. Highly recommend the company & him specifically. we happened to have a tour scheduled during the sleet/snow and they were wonderful with blankets, hand warmers— we had a great time!
We had a very knowledgeable driver, he talked continuously around the tour telling us all about the various places and buildings in and around Central Park. He showed us video clips of films on his phone and showed us where they were filmed and stopped multiple times to let us get off and took hundreds of photos of us in famous locations around the park. We had a warm blanket to use to keep us warm too (we visited in January). All in all, we absolutely loved this tour and it was one of the highlights of our trip!
Easy to book online - choosing the date and time you want was easy. Paid in person so didn’t have to worry about online payment. Instructions for where to meet were clear. Mohammed our guide was knowledgeable, friendly and a great photographer. We did the 1hr 30 mins tour and loved it. It made our day so special, I can’t recommend highly enough.
Our Central Park pedicab tour with Central Park Attractions was one of the highlights of our trip! I'm so glad I found this company online. There are so many options for this type of tour in NYC but I'm telling you, just book this company. Our family of four went on a tour on two pedicab's and we had the best time. Ibrahim and his assistant were amazing. He was super friendly, accommodating, knowledgeable, and just a lot of fun. I know he's doing this tour hundreds, if not thousands of times, but it didn't feel that way. He treated us like his only tour and we can't say thank you enough. Their pricing was also excellent and unmatched from anything I researched. We did a one hour tour for $30 a person which in NYC is amazing. Yes, you want to tour Central Park in a pedicab and yes, you want to do it with Central Park Attractions! Thank you!
Barry and the 2 other guides were so fun and helpful. Our one hour tour included interesting historical information about the park and surroundings, stops at different movie scenes, and lots of photo stops where Barry was our photographer! Will definitely book again!
Excellent tour. Had the best fun and Barrie was awesome. We explored a lot of the park and got interesting information and facts along the way. Thanks Barrie!
Schade did an amazing job. He had lots of information about the history of the park and the buildings surrounding it. He also takes amazing photos! Highly recommend him!
This was a great attraction. Our driver/pedaller Ibrahim was a fantastic guide whose knowledge and interaction made it a very enjoyable trip
Shade our guide was very knowledgeable regarding the history of the park, film sets which have been filmed in the park and a very nice polite guide. I can only say it was fantastic experience and would recommend the trip before you go home. Our guide gets an excellent from all of the family and thankyou for making it a memorable experience 👍👍👍
Our pedicab driver was really knowledgeable and thoughtful of us as we were not used to the cold weather. He was prepared for our tour with blankets, maps, stories, and a few videos to help explain the history of what we were looking at. He took our picture in a couple of different picturesque places and told us where we should take a look and places we might want photos. My family and I were very impressed. I am sad that I can’t remember what our drivers name was! He was incredible!
Thank you SO much to Mohammed. What a great guy. We didn't know what to expect when we booked the 90 minute pedicab tour but it exceeded all expectations. Mohammed was so funny, great at taking photos and very knowledgeable. We felt he went above and beyond his job and we will be forever grateful to him for providing us with the most amazing experience during our Central Park tour. Photos and memories to last a lifetime. I'd definitely recommend this company and absolutely recommend Mohammed as your tour guide!
Our tour was Dec. 14th, a beautiful cold and snowy day in NYC! Our guide has us a blanket and panels on the bike to keep the cold out! He would stop at each spot and explain where we were and help us out so we could take pictures! He even took pictures for us! It was the perfect day and I can’t recommend this experience and company more. You can’t beat the price either!!
Our guide was so nice and very I formative. He was very knowledgeable and even showed videos to back up the facts and movie clips from popular places.
We booked last minute for a pedicab tour for 4 people( 2 cabs) We all had such a good time. Barry was fab. Highly recommend.
This is a great way to get an overview of Central Park. Our guide Mohammed was lovely and started off the trip by giving us a much-welcome heat pack for our laps. He took us around all the key areas, stopping multiple times to take some great photos for us, and also provided us with a wealth of information about the park. Thamks Mohammed.
Barry and his co pilot did a fantastic job of showing us around central park. He kept it relevant to our children and we all had a brilliant time. We managed to stay warm with a lovely thick blanket too. Would definitely recommend.
We had a great time in central park on the pedicab tour. We did the 90 minute tour for $90 which was good value considering the ones in the park cost $10-$15 per minute! Our driver Ibrahim was excellent; funny and knowledgeable. We stopped many times for photos at key spots in the park. Would highly recommend.
Columns our driver was very informative about the park and surrounding areas. He was entertaining and fun. Helping us to take photos and leaving us with wonderful memories!
Had an excelled 1.5 hr pedi car tour with columbos he was very imformative , showed us videos, buildings and around central park, took plenty of photos of us , as it was a hop on hop off also, definitely got our moneys worth and we thought the price was definitely worth the 1.5 we got, Thank you again Would recommend central park attractions to others
Fab trip with Schade, very informative. Took us to all the sites, and photos he took were amazing - really impressed 😊
We booked for our trip and had our driver who was called Barrie, he made us feel so welcome and his knowledge pointing out things of interest with Christmas movies but also historical New York was amazing. I can not recommend this experience enough will remain a highlight for us for time to come, thank you Barrie.
We were a family of 6 and had 2 pedicabs. Our guide and driver was amazing, really knowledgeable and friendly. Took amazing photos of us and it was just an overall amazing and great value for money experience
Would 100% recommend this company for a Central Park tour! We did the 1.5-hour trip and it was brilliant — beautiful sights, lovely stops, and fantastic photos taken for us
Ride and guides were great. I will say spotting the Central Park pedi cab at Magnolia Bakery was not easiest. There were other guides out there that were not a part of this company and the correct drivers were not easy to spot. When trying to call the number that was in the confirmation email, it was a non-working number. That needs to be improved.
Our tour around Central park was absolutely fabulous. Our guide Ali was so good/ knowledgeable and made it so fun. He took.lits of pics of us and took us to so many areas. Would highly recommend 👌
Ali our guide was incredibly informative and entertaining and showed us everything the park has to offer! Our pedi cab ride was definite highlight of our trip!
Our tour guide Ibrahim was fantastic. Would highly recommend this company. He showed us all the main parts, took our pictures, entertained us with all the fun info and showed snippets of videos of famous film locations too.
We did a 1.5hr ride with Schade and it was excellent. Saw so much of the park in a short period of time, he took some of the most beautiful family photos of us and gave us lots of historical and interesting info about the houses/hotel surrounding the park. So worth the money.
Myself, my friend Doris and our families had a fab tour guided by Ali. He was extremely knowledgeable, funny and a fantastic photographer! Would highly recommend, this was a highlight of our trip!
My husband and I had a short time to check out Central Park before another tour we had scheduled. This was the perfect thing to do, our tour guide Columbus was so engaging and helpful. Took us to all the highlights gave us time to explore take photos and even had movie clip references. He was so gracious to drop us off at a strategic spot in the park so we could easily get to our next destination and get a real taste of strolling the park. So glad we did this. Will recommend to our friends.
Schade was our guide in this funny, entertaining and very informative tour. Would highly recommend. We loved it
The pedicab tour with Barry as our guide was fun and informative. He made sure we enjoyed the tour and did not rush the experience. We would definitely recommend a pedicab tour of Central Park.
Ali was a fountain of facts. He showed videos to remind you of what happened in the famous landmarks. We had so much fun with him. He had blankets and plastic to keep us dry and toasty in slight drizzle in and off. He was early to meet us so we didn’t have to wait. He recommended a pizza place for lunch as a “can’t miss” - Lombardi’s since we were heading to SoHo. He took us to the Subway stop. It was the best experience and so glad a friend told us about this. Reserve now, consider this your insider tip!
Really enjoyed our pedicab tour of Central Park with the lovely Barrie who showed us lots of places where movies had been filmed as well as giving us an insight into the history of the park and the people who live around it now. Great fun and took some lovely photos!
This was recommended to us by a friend and we have to say it was brilliant, Ali was so fun and friendly and very knowledgeable, he took some lovely photos of us too, would highly recommend everyone to do a pedicab tour of Central Park, one of the highlights of our trip!
