We had a great time on the Pizza and Beer tour. Pizza and beer were both delicious and Bill (our tour guide) was fun and very knowledgeable!

I’ve done many food tours with Sidewalk Food Tours. Today I did the West Village, and the tour guide Ross was super. We really enjoyed our day with him. He’s full of NYC knowledge.
I had such an enjoyable experience on the West Village food tour with Jack! Even if you’ve already visited some of these iconic food spots, Jack brings an entirely new perspective that goes far beyond just the food. His storytelling is captivating, and he brings a natural warmth and charisma that makes the tour feel personal and memorable. You come away not just with a full stomach, but with a deeper appreciation for the neighborhood and the city itself. I’d follow Jack on any other tour in a heartbeat, so impressed by him!
Ross was great, very knowledgeable and a great conversationalist. Learnt lots about the neighborhood and some fabulous food stops. Highly recommend, thank you
This was a fun food and walking tour! Lydia asked us how much history we wanted as we walked around and she gave us just the right amount. She knew the answers to all our questions and we really enjoyed learning about the history and personalities of the area. Meeting Gary of the Bleeker Street Pizza family was a highlight. Not only was the pizza superb, but he was charming. I appreciated that we went to several food establishments (bakery, restaurant, deli) that had been in the same family for generations. My favorite stop was definitely the pizza. A second favorite was the Belgian french fries with multiple sauces - especially the rosemary sauce! Lydia was a knowledgeable and enthusiastic guide and we really enjoyed our time with her.
Ross did a great job with the tour. He is very knowledgeable on the history of the area and even had some great personal stories to add. We enjoyed the selection of foods and it was just enough to make for a large lunch accumulatively. We highly recommend this tour!
A great way to mix trying different food with learning about the neighbourhood. Meg shared heaps of information and was great with answering the many questions our son had. We enjoyed looking inside the different shops and meeting with one of the shop owners and hearing stories including celebrities who visit his shop. A lovely way to spend the morning!
It was amazing with trying all different New York style foods and history related to them. Including pizza, desserts, falafel, plantains and drinks.
Jack was a great tour guide! He gave fun filled facts about points of interest along the tour route with great stops for tasty food.
Hearing about the history of the neighborhood! That, combined with the food tour made for a very enjoyable experience. Our guide was interesting, informative, and engaging!
Ross was an outstanding guide through both the history of the West Village and a beautifully curated selection of food. Everyone enjoyed his expertise.
What a fun and informative afternoon in the West Village. We had three generations with us and there was something for everyone. Our guide Jack was so positive, fun and gave us tons of great history of the area along with taking us to lots of great places to eat. I can’t recommend this tour more highly! And you won’t leave hungry!
This was an excellent tour. Our tour guide Ross was fabulous and really made Greenwich Village come alive for us. Such an interesting community. The food was plentiful and fabulous. Highly recommend this tour.
We really enjoyed this tour with our top-notch tour guide Ross! Wonderful walk and talk around this amazing neighborhood, well supported by amazing food. We found out so much about the community and enjoyed superb and plenty full food. Would definitely recommend to anyone.… Five stars!
Our guide was very knowledgeable about the area and its rich history. The food stops were well chosen and reflected life as it might have been through the ages.
We had a wonderful time on our food tour through the West Village with Jack! We learned so much about the history of the area and the amazing food. Jack was attentive, knowledgeable, friendly, and very accommodating! We would highly recommend this tour!
Ross was an excellent guide who brought the history of Greenwich Village to life. He patiently answered many questions and had a wonderful blend of personal knowledge and experience along with the general history of the area. The food options were delightful and while I certainly would have enjoyed more pizza, we were well fed. Lovey variety of food and perfect timing between stops as well. Highly recommend!
Our whole family (6) went on the tour of the West Village, and we all agreed Ross was an outstanding guide! Perfect amount of time spent on the historical aspects of the village while stopping for 6 yummy tastings! Highly recommend!
Eating pomme frites on a trash receptable Searching for a bathroom Meeting new people Great falafel Awkward tour guide.
Brendan was great and had so much knowledge about the neighborhoods we walked through. Our group loved the food, but some said they wished it was flipped. We had light small bites and then 3 heavy options at the end. My husband wished we would’ve had the full slice of pizza, but that was his only complaint. All in all, we loved it and it was a great way to start our day in the city!
Lydia was an awesome! We had the best time! The food stops were great!!!! What a great way to spend a day off!
I really enjoyed this tour, we were a small group of three and Brendan was a fountain of knowledge. There was so much food on this tour (possibly too much but makes it worth the money), it all tasted great and was a great way to learn about the area.
Andrea was very informative about the area. Food was ok but experience was great! She was a great guide!
It was awesome. The West Village is amazing. So different than Times Square. And the Food...Everything was delicious. Our guide was knowledgeable and fun. Ages ranged from 18-77. We all loved the experience. Would do it again.
We had a great tour and experience on the Lower West Side Food Tour. Our guide, Brendan, was knowledgeable and made the day both fun and enjoyable. We were able to have six tastings and were told some interesting stories about the west side of NY.
Adam was awesome!! This was by far our favourite tour on our trip. The food tastings were really good and substantial. Adam was knowledgeable and fun. We would absolutely recommend this tour.
Learning the history of the area while eating its neighborhood specialities was a great time. Lydia our tour guide was friendly and fun to talk to.
Having tried out many food tours in different countries this ends up on top of the list. The diversity available in the area is excellent, and so are the restaurants selected by the guide. Ross was also witty, friendly and had full insight of historical and fun facts in the area. Don’t miss this!
Andrea provided a great food tour and explained the history behind them and also the area we toured. An amazing experience!
Andrea was very knowledgeable and gave us a wonderful tour of food. She took us to the best places to eat and had made prior arrangements so we did not have to wait for the food. We could not have asked for a better tour guide.
Adam was a great guide. We had lovely food tastings and real insight into the two areas of NYC we visited.
Great tour with Lydia, who was interesting and fun - she was a perfect blend of knowledgeable and easygoing. All the food was delicious, and the mix of foods was good. Lydia easily accommodated the vegetarians in our group. The portion sizes were just right - we walked away very satisfied. We picked up some great tips for places to go back to. Will try another tour with this company soon!
First let me say that we were the only 2 on tour, being that it was a few days after New Year’s Day may have had something to do with it. Not complaining as our guide Jonathan was awesome (thank you J from K and B the 2 peeps who shared our snacks). Thank you Jonathan bridgette and I enjoyed the Jonathan experience!!! The best part of the tour was meeting Greg at bleeker street pizza, followed closely by his awesome slice of pizza (Nona maria grandma pizza) crispy crust and very tasty. Greg, thank you so much for being so kind to us. We really appreciated it and will come see you next time in New York if we’re here on a Friday.
Ross was a great tour guide! He took us all around the village and gave us great insight to its history. All of the food was excellent. This was our first food tour and it did not disappoint!
We did the NY W Village Food Tour on December 2nd which happened to be my birthday. Our tour guide Jonathan did an outstanding job educating us on the history of the area and notable events that took place in the WV. Jonathan’s knowledge of the area was extensive and he was able to answer all of our questions with ease. Our tasting samples included pizza, rice balls, Thai dumplings, and falafel, and we finished up with gourmet cupcakes. I would be hard-pressed to identify a favorite because everything we tasted was excellent! The portions were small and we didn’t feel stuffed at the end of the tour. Our tour started at 11:00am and ended at 2:00 which gave us plenty of time to work up an appetite for a 7:00pm dinner. There’s always more to learn about the history of NYC and how neighborhoods evolved and transformed over the years and Jonathan did not disappoint! If you have an opportunity to do a Viator tour I’d say “do it”! And maybe you’ll be lucky to have Jonathan as your tour guide-you won’t regret it!
Fantastic tour! Our guide Adam was friendly and engaging and able to tell us quite a bit about the neighborhood and some of its famous buildings/inhabitants. The tastings were varied and so delicious we actually went back to the Italian deli to gather provisions for that nights dinner! Highly, highly recommend.
We had a GREAT time/tour with Adam! He was knowledgeable about the neighborhood and NYC. Personality above and beyond. It was a rainy Saturday morning and he made sure we were kept as dry as possible. He wanted to get to know us like we wanted to get to know him. If I could give more than 5 stars I would!
Lydia, our guide, was knowledgeable and so nice! The food was delicious and definitely not things we would have discovered on our own. We’re so thankful for this experience- for sure a highlight of our trip!
We did this tour with our son while we are in town dropping him off at Columbia for college. We all had an amazing time! Adam is outstanding, so knowledgeable and friendly, we felt like we had known him for years! Easy walk with plenty of stops In the shade and air conditioning. Great way to see the neighborhood side of the city while sampling some delicious food. Highly recommend for all ages. Thanks, Adam!!
We had an excellent experience with our tour guide Jonathan. He was very knowledgeable, fun, and took the time to get to know us. The food was fantastic and the walking tour was interesting. Would definitely recommend this tour!
We had an amazing time. The pizza Bleecker Street Pizza was the BEST and unbelievable. Everything else was delicious too. Molly‘s Cupcakes did not disappoint. AMAZING! Thank you Adam for being so incredibly fun and funny. Great tour!
Lydia was our tour guide and she did a great job! I took my 78 yr old mom who is not the fastest car on the street and she was able to keep up just fine. I don't know how far we walked but I did have 8k in steps on my watch by the time we were done! I really liked the broad selection of food and all of the info she gave us about the neighborhood. We had plenty to eat and at the next to the last stop (the falafel one) you could get a BIG half sandwich or just a falafel and I was so stuffed that I just had the falafel but it was nice that they had the option for bigger appetites
The food was great and the information as we walked was excellent! I really enjoyed the variety and effort to find shade and air conditioning as often as possible.
We loved this tour! We were so lucky to have Adam as our guide! He was energetic, fun to listen to and full of knowledge. We loved the small little deli’s, pizza and Thai places with wonderful samples at each stop. The finale of the trip ended at Molly’s cupcakes! Adam also took us through some of the smaller streets in the village. He described architecture, history of some of the buildings, and examples of people who lived in that area at one time. This is the perfect tour to get a sampling of all of New York’s finest delicacies! Again, we highly recommend Adam as a guide. His endless knowledge and energy made this tour even more enjoyable!
From start to finish, this food tour was delightful! Adam was a fantastic tour guide, and he provided us with super interesting information with his special New York flair! Every bite we took was fresh and delicious, and it was plentiful! Bleecker Street Pizza was the best we’d ever had, and the arancini at Faicco’s was my personal fave. We were stuffed by the end! So much fun…I highly recommend this tour!!
Brendan did a great job infusing the various foods with history of establishments and West Village in general. Great restaurant choices, time allotted to each and very manageable walking distance. Highly recommend!
The food was great, and our guide new a lot about the area. Nice walking pace. We recommend this tour.
My tour guide lydia was so amazing and insightful it made the experience 10x greater. She made sure to engage with us and get to know us to know what we like to eat etc
We loved the variety of food! We especially loved the deli and went back later! In addition to food, Jonathan told us all about the history of the West Village and New York in general-he was an excellent guide!
This is an absolute must do!! Jonathan was our tour guide and he immediately made the tour personal by remembering everyone's names. He was super super informative and didn't just discuss local food but also added value with lots of other interesting stops and chats along the way. We learnt alot!!!!!! The food, oh my goodness, the food - amazing! 5***** highly highly recommended! Lauren, UK.
