The best manufacturing tour I ever took. Everything was fully explained from the beginning (raw logs) to the end (finished billets). The plant was well maintained and very neat. I highly recommend this tour especially if you are in the neighborhood visiting the Baseball Hall Fame in Cooperstown.
Wonderful tour. Informative and interesting. Guide was excellent, providing details and answered all questions. Highly recommended for anyone really into baseball and wanting to learn the whole story of how wooden bats are made.
We had an awesome experience touring the wood bat mill! Our guide was incredibly welcoming, friendly, and knowledgeable, and did a fantastic job explaining the entire process from start to finish. It was fascinating to see how a raw tree is transformed through each step of the process into the wood cores and, ultimately, finished baseball bats. You really get to see the craftsmanship, technology, and attention to detail that goes into making a quality bat. My son and wife both really enjoyed the experience, and I especially loved how educational it was for my son. If you have a kid who loves baseball, this is definitely an experience I would recommend. It gives them a whole new appreciation for where their bats come from and how much goes into making them. Great people, an amazing facility, and a really cool experience. Definitely worth the visit!
We had a wonderful experience watching how baseball bats are made from start to finish. Our guide was excellent in explaining every step in the process. The tour gave us such an appreciation for the bats the pros use and how they are made. This is a great experience for baseball fans! Highly recommend.
This is a must-do when you're in town for Cooperstown AllStar Village or Dreams Park. My husband and I went once our team a rainy day. By the end of the week, we were done with the breweries. There's only so much to do around these parts... It ended up being one of our favorite things we did besides watch our team. Lupe was our guide- great energy and information. It takes about 1 hr but all totally interesting and fun to see up close. It's a little Pricey but it's a small business, and it seems they keep the tour groups small, so why not support.
This place is amazing! Terry did a fantastic job on tour!!
Ryan was amazing!! He had so much knowledge about the mill. He answered all the questions we had. It was an easy and interesting tour- highly recommend for any baseball fans!
Amazing guide very friendly and very informative about each step in the process of bat making and other wooden items. The manufacturing process was so interesting. To go from a log to bats
Was an amazing and informative experience. I highly recommend it.
Fascinating tour, super friendly guide, and so fun. Such a unique experience to see a tree turned into a baseball bat!
I can't say enough good things about this tour. Lupe was very knowledgeable and an excellent guide. You really get up close and personal with the whole process. I would definitely recommend!!
This was a highlight of our getaway to the Cooperstown area. We visited after we had visited the Baseball Hall of Fame, which is also great and constantly updated. We loved learning how this company solved the problem of bats that used to break with dangerous spears on each piece. We enjoyed the innovations, repurposing of robots, and sustainability efforts the tour highlighted. It was also cool to learn that this (Northeast US) is where the right density of wood grows for making these bats.
What a wonderful tour! Our guide was well spoken and very knowledgeable. We got to see the whole process from log to finished bat. I highly recommend this activity!
Very informative. Enjoyed the tour with Dave. Very nice people
We had an amazing time!! Lupe gave our tour and she was extremely knowledgeable and friendly! Would recommend to anyone who loves baseball!!
The tour was very informative and interesting! The guide was extremely nice and knowledgeable. We’re very glad we took the tour.
The tour was a unique experience to observe the construction of a professional wood baseball bat from a tree trunk to a finished product. The tour included a behind the scenes visit of a working lumber company including all the steps involved in the bat creation process and safety equipment was provided to each participant. The tour guide was informative and passionate about the subject matter. I highly recommend the tour for adults and children. Due to heavy machinery on the tour children below a certain age may not be admitted. Check with the company before signing up.
An amazing experience and well worth the money. Just seeing everything that goes on the plant FROM RIGHT INSDE THE PLANT ITSELF was a great experience. Our guide, Lupe, was effective, intelligent, knowledgeable and helpful. One of the best manufacturing plant tours I have ever taken.
