Best option and the most economical transport jfk - Manhattan vice versa Easy and great experience. Don't be afraid.
It was horrible. Driver left us and several passengers in running vehicle for 1 hour while looking for other passengers.
Two hours late. The instructions said I would get a text when I landed. My flight was delayed and I communicated this to Viator. After landing I waited approx an hour or more before moving on by my own means.
We had to wait over two hours for someone to pick us up. I realize it was a shared ride but waiting two hours I feel like that was unreasonable. We had two representatives that called on our behalf and finally a car arrived. Tha driver was great and got us to our hotel.
Driver very pleasant. Made sure I got in and out of the van safely, and helped with suitcase. The vehicle was clean and comfortable. He was on time and made sure I could locate him. He was a good driver. I would definitely use Airlink transport again. I went from Manhattan to JFK.
It will take a while for your driver to arrive. But they do have a waiting area, next to the welcome center to relax while you wait. Pack your patients but worth it in the long run.
It took us over three hours from landing to get to our destination. I do not think JFK is the best spot to get a van from. It is very confusing for pick up.
I waited over an hour and ended up taking a cab. They finally called me and said they were going to mark me as a no show. I want a refund.
The driver didn’t come inside with a sign that had my name. I called him with my location and he drove past me. I explained that I was in a wheelchair and he insisted that I come to him. He kept telling me that he was by the traffic light although there were three in the area. I asked if he was by letter C and he kept telling me that he was at bus stop by traffic light.
Traveling to NYC is very expensive. This offers a very cheap alternative to the expensive Lyfts, Ubers and Taxis but it also has its drawbacks. You will be ride sharing in a Sprinter van. As such, you may be the first passenger picked up and therefore will be in the van for what may seem to be an excessive time, as the driver collects all other passengers at the various terminals and the potential delays that come with each individual traveler collecting bags and making their way to the pickup point. If you are the last passenger picked up, this is the best and cheapest trip ever. The ride into town will have traffic. Expect 1 hour of usual traffic and 1 or more hours of picking up passengers (if you are the first to be picked up).
After clearing customs in five minutes, I waited for more than 45 minutes for pick up. Told to go to Welcome Center and push Ready button. First, Welcone Center sign is obvious if you know where it is, but signs for Shared Ride pickup direct you outside. A person titled Airport Guide told me to wait inside and driver would come there. After sending the Ready message, I had multiple texts saying driver would be there in one minute — but no driver. Three calls to and from dispatcher to no avail. Another airport employee told me that if he sees the driver upstairs, he’ll tell him to come down. Only another 10 minutes passed before a surly driver appeared, having parked the van on the higher level. After finally getting underway, traffic was a mess. Sitting in the van is more pleasant than shlepping through the subway, but come on. You’ve got to get your system worked out and communicate exactly what to do, where to wait, and get your drivers on the same page. Terrible operation.
My daughter and I booked a flight from Florida to NYC as part of her 19th birthday gift. We had an early flight. As we were about to get ready, our flight got canceled due to weather in NYC. We booked Viator to pick us up from JFK and take us to our hotel in Times Square. They let us know that once we get within the 24-hour window, refunds for cancellations are not allowed. I was going to take it as a loss, but I decided to let them know I would like a refund. I spoke with one of their agents virtually, and they refunded me with no questions asked due to the flight cancellation. I know you're thinking that's what they're supposed to do, but I had to go through a lot of hoops for some of our other cancellations. Maybe the second time will be the charm.
The driver hygeine was not good but overall not a bad trip. Same driver picked my mom up the next day and same thing personal hygeine is important . Beaware my driver did not count the number of passenegers in pick up so i had to pay again and wait for refund.
The worst! We were given several erroneous updates wuthiut soecific pick up point and when I finally reached dispatch told we would have to wait at least 30 minutes for another family in the heat. Better off with the flat rate cab which is what we wound up taking. No more paid shuttles for me
I couldn’t be happier with the airport transfer service. From the very beginning, the communication was fantastic — every message was answered quickly, and I always felt reassured that everything was organised. The communication continued to be excellent right up to our arrival and pick-up, which made the whole journey feel easy and stress-free. The driver was reliable, professional, and the service was exactly what we hoped for. Thank you for making our airport transfer such a smooth and pleasant experience. I would highly recommend this service to anyone and would definitely use it again
Was cancelled at short notice and I was asked to cancel and claim refund. If you went on to cancel it stated no refund. Please can refund be sorted ASAP
My driver was so nice and professional. Was very patient with me when I couldn’t find where he was parked.
Its a shared ride so expect to wait some. Driver was informational and was happy to answer any questions.
We waited for 90 minutes to be picked up, as it was our first time in New York this delay was very stressful indeed!
Our driver was very good and we enjoyed his conversations and took care of our luggage which were very heavy. Would like to tell our driver he was especially entertaining.
Very good experience. Driver very friendly and professional. Would recommend this service for transfer to hotel.
I arrived at 7:09 pm. I have been waiting for open hour and a half and after calling twice yo the costumers service they told me I have to keep waiting longer. Terrible service!
It is a great way to get into the city. Traffic is so heavy & congested that forget about renting a car.
Reliable. Once I confirmed I was ready with my baggage, they came. Comfortable ride, got me right to my hotel from the airport. Awesome & affordable service all & all.
The driver was prompt and efficient. The shuttle was comfortable, not overcrowded and the ride to Grand Central Station was fast. The driver was expert in maneuvering through traffic.
It has been an amazing experience. Couldn't be easier. Give them 10/10 and will use them in the future
Driver was great and patient, as our flight was delayed. Beautiful sprinter van picked us up right outside the baggage claim door
I guess if all goes to plan the system might work. Unfortunately I was seated on the back row of the plane and it took about an hour to get through passport control by which time my driver had left. My instructions said I would get a text message after landing but never did. To their credit the driver did try to ring me but I was looking for a text message. On contacting the company I was told I would have to wait about an hour, so did so but after an hour and half was told it could be another hour. I decided to use the air train and subway, it was so easy and cheap. I wish I had done that to start with!!!!
Excellent service ; timely & economical way to get into Manhattan from JFK AIRPORT . Driver was super polite & helpful.
They were called for a 4:3l1 pick up, told that they were waiting of another ride at terminal 8, we were at 4. We were told 1/ hour more minutes as the driver was waiting for another fare at terminal 8. Called again and told the fare was still not there and it would another 1/2 hour. That passed and I called again. Wait another 1/2 hour. Driver shows up and claims I wasn't at the meeting point. I was he just could say my last name and didn't call it out.
They do not show up after ringing them several times and Viatour for assistance. If they were not available they should never have accepted the booking
Know that you have to possibly wait for your ride to arrive. We waited just over an hour. Most times it is construction or traffic or both that are the cause of the delays, but know that there’s a great possibility that you will not leave the airport immediately. A company representative helped us at the airport when he realized we had waited an hour. the information guide from the airport also assisted. Know that there are no seats for you to sit and rest so sitting on concrete next to the windows is your option. Other than this, our driver was very courteous and professional, and took us through New York to our Midtown hotel over all of New York’s bumpy potholed roads. Luckily we were in no rush.
If you can find baggage claim you can find the welcome center and the van was parked right outside. Pretty easy process overall and we were dropped off first so no complaints from us.
Very bad. I was told driver is going to meet me at JFK. And I will get notification from driver upon my arrival to JFK. Neither was true. With help of people at the airport we got hold of driver. He said he is going to come to JFK in 1 hour. I went to public transportation instead. I am 78 and was very tired. I could not wait. So my advise- avoid This kind of “service”.
Complete failure on the part of this company and its driver. I waited for almost 2 hours for my pickup, eventually taking a taxi. This is the second time this has happened.to.me from JFK. This company is beyond question incompetent and hostile to its customers. Do not use it, even if you have to walk to Manhattan. They are losers all.
There was little to no communication as to where to meet the shuttle, I was not sent a text upon arrival and had to call to confirm I was still on the shuttle. After the driver called me to get me outside, I walked outside with 2 large checked bags and a carry on, and received no help in bringing them to the van across the sidewalk. The lack of help and communication are my complaints.
If you are s sharing a ride you must wait. The ride was good but you should not make any plans for at least 3 hours because you have to take into account traffic and the amount of people in the van.
Our driver was phenomenal! Will definitely use this company again. He was very helpful and did a great job to ensure we had a safe trip.
PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE Stay away from this horrendous company. I travelled with my young daughter from London Heathrow to JFK New York. When we arrived at JFK airport we couldn’t find our shuttle , we rang the company and they picked us up an hour later. It was almost midnight, We were extremely tired and just wanted to get to our hotel. The driver screamed at us for waiting in the wrong place , what a terrible welcome to New York. I’m not sure if he was drunk or had anger issues. The trip back to JFK from our hotel was a lot worse. We rang this unprofessional company first thing in the morning , they told us to be outside our hotel 1.50pm , they turned up 30 minutes late. To my horror the driver told me that he wasn’t going to take me to the airport as I hadn’t paid for my daughter. I showed him my “love holidays” booking but he demanded I give him 25 dollars for her to travel. I HAD ALREADY PAID FOR HER. It clearly said - two passengers. I rang the office and the rude man I spoke to refused to help and hung up on me. This caused me to breakdown in tears , the driver then said he wouldn’t take me, scared I was going to miss our flight , I agreed to pay him.My daughter cried all the way to the airport. We were both shaken up. I am including this in a very long complaint letter to “Love Holidays”. Please don’t trust this company. Book an Uber or use the subway.
Two people on chat helped me books shares ride from JFK to the city. I paid and had a confirmation number and there was no available ride. They did not tell me and left me. I had to cajole for a refund which better come thru. Awful experience.
My reservation was cancelled by Viator. At the same time my credit card was charged. 5 days later no refund was issued.
We were guided at each step. Communicated via text to find where to meet our driver. Price was far less than Uber or taxi.
We never found the location that the car hire mentioned. We tried reaching out several times. Even airport staff could not find the appointed location. We had 4 pieces of luggage and my husband walked with a cane. If the service had not been curbside, then it did not work for us. We would like our money back. We secured other curb side transportion
The wait for your driver may be a little long. That’s a disadvantage, and of course they drop everyone off at their specific destination, which is a real plus for everyone, but takes a little longer. But it’s all worth it. It’s so much more affordable than taking a taxi or a rideshare.
It was our best experience with airport transport from JFK to the Marriott Marquis Times Square. There was a greeter that met us at baggage carousel 12, and escorted us to a private SUV for my family of 4. Our driver Roberson we learned was a chef who had worked with Emeril Lagasi (saw photos) and he shared several recipes on Haitian dishes that sounded amazing. The drive was very pleasant and Roberson got us to Marriott in no time. Highly recommend him.
We were met at the baggage carousel by a nice man with a sign bearing our names. He led us through the airport maze to our driver. Our driver, Ibirihima, was polite, friendly and handled the traffic like a pro.
Travel from JFK to midtown Manhattan, on a Friday afternoon in commuter traffic, a stress free way to get into The City. After crazy travel in airports, this driver provided a way for us to wind down and enjoy Manhattan the minute we stepped into the van.
The lack of communication was abominable! I had no text on arrival & no communication. I called the 18 number as instructed and provided my name & booking ref no. An hour later a Company employee turned up to pick up other customers, called his boss & agreed to take me. It was at least another 2 hours before I got dropped off. Even though I was to use a different Company for my return trip to the airport tomorrow, I cancelled it as I did not feel that I could trust the Viator booking after such a terrible experience.
It took too long to pick several other passengers from other terminals to fill the van. Totally it took 3 hours to get to the hotel.
