Charles the guide was great and clear!
Great experience with our guide Charles, shared pretty good information about the financial district and NYC in general.
The tour was great, the duration and things we saw were great. The tour fits the expectations. Especially the tour guide Charles was great an explained many interesting things about the history of New York and USA! I would always recommend this tour!
Kevin is a really good guy and a really good speaker. The tour was enjoyable and informative with a lot of details. Thanks
Our guide Liam was excellent. He took us to interesting places and was very good at providing stories within the historical context of the sites. I would definitely recommend the tour.
Amazing tour, well explained. Learned so much in such a short period of time. Charles also takes pictures for you. Great memories.
Charles was a very good guide offering lots of information. Unfortunately, there were a lot of building sites during the tour and too many people taking part in it.
Charles was a very good guide. He was milling every time, answers to every questions et I learned lots of things. I recommend.
I toured with Charles, wanted to give a shoutout and thank you for his commitment to finish in the rain. Thanks Charles! Appreciated it, you showed nice hospitality. As a tour guide, think he did great and hope the tip helps with rent. We’ll have differences (I am from Missouri, and we’ll view the world a little different), but he was a good worker and tried to make everyone feel welcome. I especially liked his information about the current affairs of the financial district (local rents was interesting) the discussion on why we didn’t use metric system, the competition with the Wall Street building & the Chrysler building and the discussion about the Roosevelts and J.P. Morgan. Also liked the civil rights discussion and New York State view of the growth of the city and country - that tidbit about passing London population during the roaring 20s was interesting. Also really liked that part about the founding fathers and the garden too. And the Hamilton/Jefferson discussion was good too, plus it’s a good plug for the show too :) . I knew some, but learned more too, thank you. To be respectful and constructive though, a couple things I might do different: 1) we all can agree on the 1st amendment and freedom of religion - and I’ll have a different personal faith than most around here, respectively - if you want to share about the Greek Gods faith, that’s perfectly fine, but I might try and use the word “faith” or “religion” instead of assuming fact, especially in a global crowd - and I would accept that for my own faith too. 2) Appreciated learning about the bull and girl statues, interesting meaning for both - I’m open for letting all compete, but if you’re going to advertise for one, you should do the same for the other too just to be respectful. Could be a hot button around here too though. I understand that the tours may not be able to do everything - but if they could work something out to go inside the NYSE just to see, it’d be cool too - probably a higher up decision though. All in all, thank you from Mizzou. - Andrew
Very informative visit with Charles. Recommending it to learn more about how NY city was created and evolved as a major city in the world!
Charles was great. Lots of history and he did a great job!
Excellent tour, very well informed guide
The how money was made tour was fast moving, engaging and informative. Covering off a number of different aspects about the area and relevant history. Liam was a great guide
Jess is a very knowledgeable and fun guide. The 2 hours went by pretty quickly. Definitely one of the must dos when in New York to understand more about New York. I would definitely do this tour again.
Was a really great experience, our tour guide transmitted all his passion
Jess Is a great guide! He entertained us for two hours with great commitment and interesting stories about Wall Street. Highly recommended!
Jess was amazing, great passion (even without microphone)! All clear and greatly explained. Thanks!
Jess was awesome and super notch
This tour was absolutely fantastic. We had travelled from Australia and found this tour on the Go City Pass and we are so glad we did it. Liam was not only incredibly knowledgeable but also entertaining and so enthusiastic about this part of town. I would highly recommend this tour to anyone.
We are leaving this review as a group after taking the “How Money Was Made: Wall Street Walking Tour” on April 6th at 10:00 AM—and this is truly a unanimous decision. We had an absolutely incredible experience, and it was all thanks to Liam O’Brien. From the very start, Liam was kind, engaging, and full of energy. His storytelling is truly exceptional—his narration was anything but dry or monotonous. It was upbeat, energetic, and incredibly insightful. He has a rare ability to bring history to life in a way that keeps both adults and kids completely captivated. Every story felt vivid, meaningful, and easy to follow. What also stood out was how much more we got than expected. The tour went well beyond the standard scope and felt very full and rich, often expanding beyond the typical frame of the topic in the best possible way. We walked away feeling like we learned so much more than we anticipated. What made this experience even more impressive was the weather. It was a bitterly cold and windy morning, and we were with kids—yet not a single complaint the entire time. That says everything. They were fully engaged and genuinely loved every minute of the tour. Liam is clearly a very talented individual who truly loves what he does, and it shows in every detail of the experience. His passion, enthusiasm, and ability to connect with people make this tour unforgettable. We feel incredibly lucky that he was our guide. And to management—if you have the ability to give Liam a raise or promote him, please do. He is truly your superstar tour guide. If we could, we would leave 1000 stars. Highly, highly recommend!
great tour, really qualified guide named jess
Jess was extremely knowledgable and engaging. He was wonderful with our high school pupils and kept them entertained throughout- even ending with a game. Highly recommend!
Jess did an excellent job and was very informative. His experience in the financial business made him the perfect tour guide. Very knowlegable. Highly recommend
Excellent tour; definitely recommend! Our tour guide, sorry I can't remember his name, was from England, was very polite, friendly, and knowledgeable of the history of Wall Street. Very much enjoyed listening to his stories, and the information he shared.
Liam is the real wolf of Wall Street! You don't even need to be interested in finance. If only my real history class could have been this intriguing....You might even say his questions, FEARLESS! Time flew by and I really didn't it to end.
Liam was an exceptional guide. Very entertaining and informative! I highly recommend! Learned the history of the area.
Jess gave us such an amazing tour of Wall Street. He was incredibly knowledgeable and entertaining to listen too. Genuinely one of the best tours I've been on in New York!
Jess Valona is a great tour guide!! A lot of history and great information about financial system and real facts. 100% recommended
A very fascinating toru through Wall Street with a very intersting historical backround telling. Smart and friendly tourguide.
Jess was really good the tour was very interesting and captivating very fun experience going through all the history of the place and the city
Jess was a great tourguide - thank you so much for making the tour entertaining, interesting & really enjoyable! :) The wall street is one of the few things I would recommend booking a tour.
We did this tour with Liam O’Brien and absolutely loved it! Liam was incredibly kind, funny, and knowledgeable. What we enjoyed the most was that it wasn’t just about the financial side of the city, he also shared so many fascinating historical stories. We highly recommend this tour!
Very informative on the history of wall Street and our guide, sorry can't remember his name from inside out tours, was fantastic . I think it was Jess. Great stories, and a lot of fun. Highly recommend.
Thanks to James …. Excellent Tour and very use full to understand this part of history and financial topics. Very happy to recommend
Nice experience. Jess-Velona is a wonderful tour guide. He explained a lot about the history of Wall Street completely.
We had a fantastic Wall Street walking tour with Jess! He was engaging, very knowledgeable, and brought the history of the area to life. As a former employee at a Wall Street law firm, he added unique insights and personal stories that made the experience even more interesting. We learned so much and really enjoyed every part of the tour. Highly recommend!
Great 2 hour tour with history of the financial markets and what certain buildings are. This tour stood out as you could actually hear what the speaker was saying. Jess our guide was very knowledgable and had past experience with the securities exchange commission. Our group was a decent size of about 16 people. Recommend if you want to hear about the history of Wall Street.
We took the Wall Street insider walking tour with Liam. It was very interesting to learn about the origins of NYC, with some funny anecdotes. Liam was kind and made the tour lively by engaging with the participants! The focus of the tour was more historical than financial.
Very informative tour. Very friendly host with lots of knowledge. Easy walk for all abilities. Highly recommend if you want to know more about the area.
Charles was so friendly and answered all the questions kindly. I liked the tour and I will recomend it. Thank you for all.
The title of this tour is a bit misleading. I don’t think we learned how money was made. However, it was an excellent tour with interesting information about early USA history and the beginning of New York. We really enjoyed the tour but we only walked past the outside of the Stock Exchange building. I recommend the tour and Liam, our guide, was excellent. Just change the name.
Real friendly guy. He told us about the City, what Nobody ever can emagine :) Totally recommandable!!! Book your trio, its worth it!
The guide seemed like he was having a bad day but he still made the tour entertaining and even threw some jokes there (thanks for the effort man, we all have bad days). Can't remember his name but he was in fact an artist and teacher. He explained a lot of historical facts that go way back than what you would expect, so it was interesting to truly know the origins of Wall Street (both the banking industry and the actual street). Beware that if you're expecting a lot of info on the crash of 29', it's really just a super short stop of the tour.
Great and very informative tour! Jess was amazing as a tour guide, told really interesting facts and anecdotes. Highly recommend!
So many cool stories!! Charles is a such an enthusiastic guide!! He was open for all questions and the pace of the walk was good.
We had a great tour whith Charles! Explained a lot of interesting facts we didn't know. Fully recommend it. You don't have to walk a lot in this tour
Charles did a great job leading this tour! Learnt a surprising amount about Beavers too! Will be recommending to others!
The tour was great. As a teenager I thought the tour would be boring or uneventful. But Liam made it very interesting and funny, I would recommend the your to anybody, it introduces you to monuments/historic spots that are overlooked.
Jess was fantastic, very interesting and informative tour! Would highly recommend! Lots of information about the history of the American financial system.
