This was an awesome tour. Mike C was a great tour guide. We learned so much about hip hop. Mike C made sure we left more knowledgeable than we came. One highlight for us old heads was getting to briefly speak to Kurtis Blow on the phone.
Rayza, our guide, was fantastic. His pride in his city came thru on our tour. He had great information and facts, was entertaining and made the tour go by was too quickly. Thank you for your energy!
Really wonderful way to learn all about the origins of hip hop as you wander the streets where it all started. Mike C was an incredible guide, his commentary was very entertaining and easily followed by the kids. This was a highlight of our week in NYC!
Mike C did an amazing job bringing the history of hip hop to life. His knowledge and storytelling made it easy to understand not just the music, but the culture and its impact. I’d highly recommend this tour to anyone interested in exploring Uptown while learning something new and meaningful along the way. It was both fun and educational—definitely worth it!
A total joke of a tour. On an off a 'luxury bus' every 5 minutes to take photos of some badly painted mural of a dead rapper shot by gang members. No substance. We went to the Yankees Stadium.. no idea why? We were seconds away from genuine hip hop landmarks which were just driven by. Our host 'Razer' was tireless in the pursuit of his own worthiness. He used racist tropes and told us white folk we would not last 10 seconds in the bronx unless we had his escort. Divisive, expensive, self-serving and outright boring. If you're into Hip Hop and want to remain so. Do not take this tour
We had a fantastic experience on our Hip Hop tour. Rayza was our guide for the day and his energy, passion and enthusiasm was just incredible. We got to see the key places and learn about the history of Hip Hop. From a living breathing MC. We were also treated to some impromptu performances along the way. Rayza treated us like family and was a fabulous host 😀
Love love love the tour!!! Rayza is AMAZING !!!! We had a great time !!! He gave the history of hip hop, great vibz, energy all that
Throughly enjoyed the 2 hour HipHop walking tour of Harlem & the Bronx today. My husband and 18yr old son are both big music fans so it was the ideal way to spend a morning. Our guide Mike C was fantastic, as someone who clearly grew up rubbing shoulders with many legendary HipHop artists he was cool, hugely knowledgeable and had us crying with laughter more than once. I would highly recommend this tour to anyone with a ounce of interest in HipHop culture 😎 👌
We had a great time with Mike C. He is an amazing storyteller who captivates his audience in a wonderful way!
Mike C was amazing. He had first hand experience about the rise of Hip Hop, performed, told engaging stories, and constantly quizzed us to make sure we were all following along. An amazing tour. Am I right or left?! Trust me I'm right.
Razor was our guide and he was very informative and made the tour fun. He interacted with us all and made us feel like family. If you want to see the hidden gems in Harlem book this tour
Mike C and his assistants were great! Not only did we learn about the origins of Hip Hop, it was also nice to be informed about some historical moments in history about Harlem
The Harlem Hip-Hop Walking Tour with RayZa is absolutely phenomenal. RayZa’s energy and deep knowledge bring to life the story of hip-hop, which was born on August 11, 1973!! (See I remember 😂) RayZa connects this historic moment to Harlem’s vibrant hip-hop culture with passion and authenticity, making the tour an unforgettable experience filled with fire, history, and incredible vibes! 🔥 get yourself on the best tour in New York baby!!! 👏👏👏🙏🙏🙏 he my friend for life. 🍵
I went on this tour with three of my friends and it was amazing! Our tour guide was very knowledgeable with high energy the entire time. He showed us a side of Harlem that we would’ve never got to see or heard the history about if we didn’t book this tour. He even freestyle rapped for us! I would definitely recommend this tour to others if you want to see and hear the History of Harlem and Hip Hop.
It was amazing! I really enjoyed it. I learned so much history. The tour guide was great! He showed and introduced a whole lot of wisdom, knowledge and history. Truly grateful for this experience.
This tour was a highlight of my recent stay in NY! Rayza was our guide and he made sure we left the experience with knowledge to carry on. I was very intentional about booking a tour while in NY, I wanted it to be culture rich and led from an insider and this experience was spot on. I recommend it, so you too can learn about August 11, 1973!
Mike C was our guide and what a brilliant time we had. It was amazing to stroll through Harlem and hear all the stories, listen to the music and soak up the atmosphere. Great fun, we loved it! Wouldn’t have missed it and now big fans of Fearless 4!
An excellent guide and experience . Our tour guide has a wonderful knowledge of the subject , he is fun , he kept our interest through the entire tour and gave us the best tour in Harlem .It has been our best tour out of 4 during our time in NY .Thanks a lot! ( 2 Mexicans on May 11/2025)
WOW Rayza was our tour guide today, An amazing artist who taught myself and my daughter to the history and origins of Hip Hop. Full of talent as well. My daughter did not want the tour to end and wanted to hang out with Rayza all day. To walk around Harlem has been my favourite part of our trip so far. Thank you for blessing us with your talent Anne-marie and Karla
We met up at the Museum of the City of New York and the first part is some general history of the area and backstreets as we headed to Harlem. Along the way we looked at graffiti and bodegas. Once in Harlem proper our guide - Mike C of the Fearless 4 - came into his own, being greeted by the locals before breaking into Rap during his (many) stories. I know little about hip hop or the culture, but now appreciate much more what it's all about. Mike C is the real deal - entertaining and knowledgeable with the real accent and attitude (he's been in the scene for more than 40 years!). After the tour finished at the Apollo Theatre we spent some time walking the area and went for burgers at the Harlem Shake. An informative and captivating tour.
We went on the 2 hour Harlem walking tour, and it was great. Our tour guide, Rayza, was friendly, knowledgable, and very interactive with the group. It was a lot of fun and I would recommend to anyone, whether you’re a hip hop fan or not. Definitely a 10/10
Our guide was incredible! It was one of my best tour! His enthusiasm, knowledge, and the way he shared the stories of hip-hop made this tour a truly memorable experience. On top of his great energy and good vibes, he’s also a charming man who knows how to captivate his audience and create an amazing atmosphere from start to finish
Great tour. Rayza was a fun and informed tour guide. Worth the $ and great way to learn about Harlem music & culture.
We did a few tours and activities while in New York, and all of us thought this one was the best! Really informative and really fun.
Mighty Mike C and driver John both did a great job on this well organized, entertaning and very informative journey back to the roots of this beautiful culture. Do you know why it’s called Hip Hop? Well, we do… 👌
Highly recommend the Harlem Hip-Hop walking tour. It explains the history of Harlem and the birth/rise of hip-hop. We had the very charismatic and energetic tour guide RayZa, a talented artist himself who performs brilliantly during the tour. If you’re in New York, a hip-hop fan or not, do the tour you won’t be disappointed! (Good luck in the UK RayZa, it was a pleasure to meet you).
Mike Z is an awesome tour guide. A hip hop artist himself, he is very knowledgeable of the genre and also of the neighborhood’s history. He knows how to keep the group interested with fun and curious stories.
Such a great experience, especially with RayZa as our tour guide. I really loved his energy and his perspective on things. To top it off he is an amazing artist who freestyled on the spot with ease and impressive skill. I feel like I got more than I paid for, including a “gentrification education”. I learned so much about the origin and history of hip hop, the culture and the community. My only regret is that I didn’t do the tour earlier in the week so could have done the Brooklyn walking tour, which I didn’t know about until on the Harlem walking tour.
Such an amazing tour !! RayZa is a legend, so knowledgeable and entertaining guy!! Respect to all the Hush crew, from Ireland 👊👊 🇮🇪
The hip-hop tour begins as individuals and ends up as a hip-hop family. Our tour guide.RayZa is not only an amazing artist in his own, right but it’s extremely knowledgeable, caring, and informative when speaking about Harlem and hip-hop. It was a pleasure to be on tour with him and learn so much more about Harlem and the heart of Harlem. I recommend this tour to anyone who wants to feel part of the hip-hop scene and New York City and Harlem. We will definitely be taking this tour again.
Begin the tour as individuals and end up a hip-hop family. Our tour guide RayZa was not only informative and knowledgeable, but spoke from the heart. he gave you a sense of true hip-hop and what Harlem really speaks about. We will definitely tour again. Can’t wait to see you next time.
We loved the tour! It was interesting and fun. RayZa is very into it, all rhythm, rhyme and energy and a great and prudent guide who can tell you a lot about his hood! Recommendation!
I had a great time on this tour! Mike C was a fantastic tour guide, very knowledgeable and kind. He told us all about the history of Hip Hop and showed us around the Harlem neighborhood. For sure one of the most memorable things I did in New York, so would definitely recommend! :)
Amazing! Rayza kept it really really real, mixing a lot of fun and charisma with real talk about the people and community who made/make it all happen. Nothing watered down, but also v appropriate for any age. This is what engaging and learning about a culture should look like! Peace! ✊🏽
Great tour! Tour guide (Razor) was awesome! Very knowledgeable and engaging. We had a great time and learned so much about hip hop that we didn’t know. We also saw some cool sites!
Mike Clee was the bomb host. He’s from the area, so he brought the swag with him. His stories were fire.
My guy rayza is great storyteller and he knows his stuff. Great experience, fun and educating, thanks!
This was the highlight of our trip to NYC, visiting from LA. The tour guide was fantastic, kept the kids very engaged and clearly knew the area, the people and the history. Highly recommend for all. Highly non commercial tour with a genuine interest in spreading the knowledge of the area and passion for the art.
The host was amazing. He related to his guest on the tour. He definitely was knowledgeable and the breaker was great as well.
Fantastic tour. RayZa brings a ton of energy, knowledge and passion and will make sure that you learn a lot about hip hop, Harlem, resistance and gentrification. See where Malcolm used to preach, the Panthers HQ, the Hotel Theresa where Malcolm, Dr. King, Fidel, Ray Charles, Aretha and many other greats stayed and of course the iconic Apollo Theatre. And dont forget...Aug 1, 1973..you'll see why and remember, its breaking, not break dancing! Thanks RayZa for a fantastic experience..love your free style brother.
Killer tour! Bring your A game and all your enthusiasm for Ray Za as he takes you on a high energy tour of Harlem. Be prepared to learn about hip hop, resistance, endurance and life and enjoy the free style
I have always wanted to go to Harlem, so surprised to learn the history behind Hip Hop! Learned so much- tour guide RAYZA was absolutely talented and very informative- funny too!
Mighty Mike C was a great tour guide. He shared great history, insight and funny stories all throughout the tour not only about hip hop but Harlem as well. Would definitely recommend!
Mike C was our guide, and he was great. He brings his hip hop energy, and ensured we remembered the stories he shared. Tour last about 2.5 hours, and I went away learning so much more about hip hop than I thought I would for a tour. Highly recommended.
Tour was bookable , and 2 couples did . Tourguide never came , and reaction of the staff was 45 min after the start time Oh no ! Need to look seriously in their online business
Our tour was cancelled at the last minute. The guide was sick and there were no substitutes. Very disappointed.
This tour was fun and interesting! We learned a lot. Mike C made the whole group participate in a pleasant way. Will be remembered.
Our guide was very passionate about his neighborhood. We wanted to take the Bronx tour, but it wasn’t available
Would really recommend this tour. The guides were incredibly knowledgeable and that presented the history of hiphop in an engaging way.
