Sadly this wasn't the best visit for us. The Rock memorabilia was super but the food wasn't great: no gluten-free fries: it was weird having mash with a burger! Also the food wasn't hot. My wife's burger wasn't well done although she requested this. We have loved the many Hard Rock Cafés around the world and are sad that this was our experience in New York

Great choice of burgers, didn’t have a printer but you can email the manager the voucher so can still use it
Great experience. Wait time wasn't too bad. Food was great. Server was friendly. If anything I think the food should take a little longer, ours was so quick it was hard to enjoy the atmosphere.
Hard Rock Broadway used to be a reliable, fun staple, but recent visits show just how far the standards have fallen. What hurts most is the blatant mismatch between cost and quantity. You are paying top-dollar Broadway rates for portions that look more like side snacks than proper entrees. The floor staff does an acceptable job—no real complaints about the service, which was polite and handled our table fine. The real letdown is purely on the plate and the overall vibe. Between the inflated check and food that feels rushed and uninspired, the novelty has completely worn off. It simply doesn't deliver the value to justify the receipt. There are far better ways to spend your dinner budget in the area.
Waitress was friendly, food was good, and good variety of foods. Prices weren’t bad.
The experience was one of fast and slick. From arriving to the table, where the waitress was attentive and quick with the drinks order, the food order was as quick. On the meal I could not say a bad word as it was exactly what we ordered and hot. Which I have found hard to get hot food in other restaurants. All in all a very enjoyable evening at the Hard Rock cafe times square.
Came for a drink at the bar, Bruno our bartender has been fantastic. No question is too much for him to answer, he has been patient with us and has been incredibly helpful. I would come back again just for his hospitality, and would recommend to anyone. Our drinks were made quickly but made well, and tasted great. Thank you Bruno from 2 very happy Brits!
Decent food and service although even though booked a table for 8pm then had to queue to get seat that took 20 minutes. Service like I said ok and food not bad at all Although medium steak more like well done. The annoying thing is the false passive aggressive pressure to tip 25% plus. The give you a piece of paper telling you you should tip this not that it’s a disgrace! It comes in 8 languages and disgusting! Soured the whole experience
We didn’t have reservations and was looking for a sit down restaurant to have lunch. We were able to be seated fairly quick. Our waitress was super friendly and made recommendations for drinks and food. The prices were fair compared to other restaurants in the area and the food was pretty good.
– Ruined our nightWe were forced to leave before finishing our meal because the restaurant was hosting a private event. When I asked to be moved to another table, the staff claimed none were available and told us we had to leave. Only after I mentioned filing a formal complaint did they magically find a table. However, the manager then refused to serve us, stating that if we wanted anything, we had to get it ourselves. To make matters worse, the manager approached us twice more trying to kick us off the new table to give it to other customers. Absolutely unacceptable and disrespectful behavior.
Booked evening meal whilst on holiday as son is really into music and bands. Not much to see. Food was cold. Stella artois beer was disgusting. Although it was not very busy we felt like we were being rushed out. Sorry we went as it was not a good experience.
We pre booked our visit as it was our first time visit to New York . It was very loud but we went with the flow. Ordered basic food items The steak came too raw for us returned to kitchen came back again still raw Told to return to kitchen and remove from bill. I sat and eat my meal on my own It was supposed to be fun visit
Hard Rock always delivers! We made a reservation prior to our visit which I would 100% recommend. The reception area was so busy but organised. The service & food was great as always! X
Hard Rock Cafe never disappoints. Food was excellent, service was excellent and the atmosphere was great.
After a long Sydney‑to‑New York haul and arriving far from my best, I needed a meal that would genuinely lift me — and Hard Rock Times Square delivered in every way. Even with the rain pouring outside and a crowd of people seeking both shelter and a solid feed, the wait time was completely fair, especially considering we had no booking. The line moved well, and the staff kept everything flowing with ease. And then came the steak. Perfectly cooked, full of flavour, exactly the kind of comforting, satisfying meal you hope for after a rough travel day. It ended up being the last proper meal I could enjoy for almost a week thanks to the infection that hit me — and honestly, I’m still grateful it was this one. If you’re not ordering medium, I don’t know how you’re doing it. The atmosphere inside was everything you expect from Hard Rock: bold, energetic, and packed with memorabilia that stops you mid‑stride. The collection here is next level, and wandering through it felt like a mini‑tour of music history. For us, Hard Rock pin collecting is a family tradition — a fun way to mark our map — so visiting this location felt extra special. From the vibe to the service to the food, this Hard Rock was a standout introduction to New York. A total show‑stopper. Loved every minute.
Great location, fun place! The guitar displays are awesome. We loved the fajitas!
The Hard Rock Cafe is an amazing chain of music theme restaurants that was founded in 1971 and operates in over 70 countries around the world. In addition, Hard Rock also consists of a plethora of casinos, hotels, memorabilia shops and museums. The restaurant is known for offering delicious American dishes, such as burgers and steaks and for its vibrant “Rock & Roll” atmosphere, due its collection and display of rock memorabilia such as costumes, guitars, and stellar photo imagery. In March of 2026, I brought and treated my wife and myself for dinner at Hard Rock Cafe, specifically Hard Rock Cafe New York, and we thoroughly enjoyed every moment of our dining experience!!! The staff at Hard Rock were very polite and welcoming. They warmly greeted us when we arrived, and quickly provided us with a very comfortable and spacious dining table. We were captivated by the restaurant’s vivacious and visually stunning atmosphere, which is largely derived from its impressive collection of rock and roll memorabilia displayed along its walls, and its background pop music videos which can be seen and heard from its multiple television sets. We enjoyed listening to the classic rock hits played by music bands, AC/DC & Aerosmith and loved viewing the memorabilia, such as the photo images of the “the Beatles” and the signature outfits worn by “Run DMC.” In additional to the great atmosphere, we would also like to acknowledge the wonderful service provided by our server, Grayson. Grayson was the consummate professional. He did a superb job on explaining the menu options, adeptly addressed our inquiries on the entrees that attracted our interest, and perfectly noted our meal selections. Grayson routinely checked back with us to offer any further assistance and to see that we were having a great experience. We thank Grayson for his great hospitality and kindness. Hard Rock is blessed to have him on their team. Last but certainly not least, my wife and I absolutely loved our meals. My wife ordered and enjoyed her “Cowboy Ribeye Steak & Mac & Cheese” entree while I ordered and enjoyed my “Baby Back Rib & Mashed Potato entree.” We found our meals well cooked, superbly seasoned and delightfully delicious!!! Another noteworthy aspect of Hard Rock New York is its location. Based in Manhattan, New York, in the heart of Times Square, it is conveniently located near numerous Broadway Theaters, movie theaters, clothing stores, the New York City subway and other famous attractions. Since Hard Rock New York is very popular and gets packed very quickly, reservations are highly recommended. My wife and I thank the staff at Hard Rock for providing a magnificent dining experience and encourage everyone to visit this outstanding restaurant!!!
Overpriced and poor service waited over half hour for our booked table food was ok but nothing special beer and soft drinks where flat and we left a tip to reflect this and waiter got annoyed saying did we realise that it should be this amount so I told him he was lucky to get anything totally disappointed as it was my grandson's birthday and went there because we thought it would be special for him avoid if possible there are nicer more cheaper places to go in New York
We love Hard Rock. The service is always exceptional and just a safe comfy environment. You know you get good drinks, in a great environment - either for if you are in for the evening or if its just a quick passing drink. We went in a couple of evenings while we were here,as the happy hour is great for the price for the location. Nyi was the server that looked after us most nights we were in. Ensured we always got served when we wanted a drink, always had time for a little chat, Big shout out to him, The food is reasonable too for the Happy Hour, however bring back the Tater Tots though, they were great. We also had been served by Bruno and Dale who were also very helpful and chatty. We had the Pretzel and nachos when we were in and it was plenty enough. We always sat at the bar after pounding the concrete pavements of NYC! There usually was always space for the two of us. The Rock Shop is nice to get a little gift to take with you after you have had enough to drink!
Went with a group as part of a school trip - good atmosphere. Food was ok but nothing really special, could have been due to limited set menu.
Located directly on time square in the old paramount building the hard rock cafe is amazing. The usual Hard Rock menu, beer and cocktails with a few New York specialities. We ate early due to a show we had tickets to and despite it being pretty empty they initially seated us on high stools rather than one of the dozens of comfier booths or tables, but this was quickly resolved. The server was a little slow to visit the tables despite the place being pretty empty. The place filled up quickly toward the end of our meal. Food and drinks we great and the atmosphere as always at hard rock was fab.
We visited Hard Rock Cafe Times Square, an iconic restaurant right in the heart of Times Square. The space is truly impressive — large, dynamic, and filled with the signature Hard Rock atmosphere. There is also an extensive merchandise store offering a wide selection of branded souvenirs. The location and overall visual impact are definitely among the strongest aspects of this branch. We ordered the BBQ Bacon Burger, One Night in Bangkok Spicy Shrimp, Spicy Diablo Smash Burger, and Messi’s Burger. The presentation was good; however, flavor-wise the dishes felt less distinctive and less balanced than what we are used to from other Hard Rock Cafe locations. Compared to our visit two years ago, we noticed a clear difference in quality. On a positive note, our server Kefian was kind, professional, and quickly resolved an issue with our order, which improved our overall experience. Overall, it remains a visually strong and iconic venue with an excellent location, but from a culinary perspective we would expect a higher level of quality and consistency that matches the brand’s reputation. #larmarluxury #hardrockcafe #timessquare #newyorkexperience #travelandfood
Firstly, food was superb, very tasty. BUT, the establishment was not. Sat on low quality tables on an old dancefloor, not a great experience tbf
This Hard Rock was in close walking distance to our hotel, so we ate here twice in the week that we were visiting. The first night they had a 30 minute wait, so we ate at the bar. The second time we returned to the bar because we had such great service , drinks and food.
Food had to be sent back as overcooked and so hard unable to cut and that was a chicken burger ! Replacement food better but not that brilliant. Service not that great , no offer for dessert or additional drinks yet had the cheek to present us with a bill highlighting recommended amounts for a tip by boxing it in with a blue fluorescent pen . We travel the world and visit many Hard Rock cafes and have never seen a bill chasing tips like this or listened to staff moaning about a tip of $10 from a table of two they’d got .
We had a great experience at Hard Rock Cafe. The food took a little longer than expected, but the service was friendly and attentive, which made up for it. The burger we had was absolutely delicious, juicy, and well prepared. We also loved that there is a refillable option for soft drinks like soda. The ambiance had a real New York–style vibe, energetic and fun. Overall, we really enjoyed our visit and would definitely come back.
My server called Asia was lovely, made my experience great, this was my second time there. All staff fantastic, great food and drinks
Visited Christmas Eve for dinner. We have been here a couple of times before and had a good experience but this time was very disappointing. Table was grubby, service not great. I was given undercooked chicken, the other three diners meals were poor. No one asked if meals were ok and took three barely touched plates of food away without comment. Best avoided.
Food was okay however the chips were very greasy which was a bit off putting - service was a little slower than we would have liked and getting the bill also a bit slow. Atmosphere wise being seated was a bit chaotic like the staff were herding cows- peoples were sat all over the floor in the reception area. Welcome was not hugely great and no one cared when we left. Other Hard Rock experiences elsewhere were better in the past. Management seemed to be pandering to some table more than others asking them how their meals were but seemed selective- we were not approached or asked about our food.
I was there other time, but this time, something was wrong. You have to make a reservation to sit, even if they have empty tables. You can sit at the bar without reservation. I ordered a burger with coke. The coke was flat, even if they changed it, it wasn't good. The burger was acceptable, but the fries no. For a high hand burger place in the heart of times square, this drop of quality isn't acceptable.
We stopped in for a quick bite to eat during our travels and from being met with really welcoming staff to the waiter who was so lovely ! It’s refreshing coming from the UK to the US where there’s waiting staff who have actual personality and look like they actually enjoy their job! We had 2 beers and 2 salads… shout out to the cob salad… absolutely delicious! We didn’t want to get the usual burger and fries so salad options were selected and boy were we glad we did! HUGE full of flavour and washed down nicely with beer
Terc was our waiter and did a great job!! We went at 6:10pm on a Monday in December and a party of 4 was an anticipated 45 min wait (to be expected in Times Square). High top tables apparently aren't a part of the wait list, and we got pulled back early! Terc was attentive and ensured we had everything we needed. The atmosphere was great and well decorated. Pretty expensive for a party of 4, but again thats not unusual for a Hard Rock Café in our experience. Great tasting food! We enjoyed the Legendary burger & seasoned fries, wings, & smokehouse meat platter holiday special.
Rude staff, went for dad’s birthday. Had our food launched at us. Fries went everywhere. Music was too loud, no one could hear over it. Manager was rude when we explained our order was wrong. Ended up having it knocked off bill but after experiencing attitude. The atmosphere was completely off, ruined the experience for my whole family and dads 60th.
I love hard rock cafe and have been to many around the world as well as having been to this location before. The food was incredible and the service was fast. The server we had was incredible!!! HOWEVER, as I entered the restaurant i confirmed i was there and was told to wait, following this wait i was whistled at, my name chanted and called over like a dog by a member of staff. Very disappointed in this behaviour
Visited this restaurant as I knew I could order a gluten free meal. I selected a burger and was told that I could not have chips 😠but either mash potato or salad. ( who wants 2 lots of carbs) chose salad and was presented with croutons in it so this had to be changed, but the salad was awful. Cut up lettuce with 2 tiny plum tomatoes cut in half and a slice of red pepper. If you can’t produce gluten free chips with a burger, at least make the salad exciting. Honestly, I will be thinking twice before I visit again.
I booked this visit for a celebratory birthday with family and we all love the atmosphere of a Hard Rock ! I had checked the menu online as one of our party was a vegan and I was aware that they did a plant based burger, and that that there was something for everyone on the menu.( I am aware that this is a burger restaurant which our family love but just saw on the menu the plant based burger, which was helpful. ) However when we got there and asked about the Vegendary Burger ( plant based) the staff member told us that the burger bun was not vegan friendly. Eventually after much backwards and forwards to the kitchen staff the server suggested that the plant based burger be served in a bun from the child's menu as these are lactose and gluten free, which we did and it turned out ok. She also explained the the Vegendary Burger is vegetarian and not vegan which was a little confusing in its title. But putting that aside the meals were fine and also the service . It was a noisy place but I suppose thats what to expect in The Hard Rock! I would not rush back to this restaurant, and I have visited quite a few in different countries, but this was just too noisy and impersonal.
I always enjoy a visit to a HRC as you know the standards of food and service standards are predictable. The HRC in Times Square is well located and whilst I expected the prices to be inflated here, this was not the case. I didn't have a reservsation however I was seated swiftly and offered a choice between a table and eating at the bar. The food was delicious and plentiful but without being over facing. The only negative was that it wasn't always easy to locate my server or to get attention.
We were a party of 6 arrived with no reservation We were impressed from the get go really warm welcome and Danny our waitress was super ! Good excellent too!
We had booked a reservation the day before and when we showed up they led us inside everything seamed normal but as soon as we Saw the table we could litterally see it was Way too small for our food (we were Four people) then instead of moving u’s they wanted to discuss it and raised there voices saying that we just ordered too much (all we had was one thing each a small fries to share and something to drink) you really shouldn’t Think these people lives of costumer service!
The worst experience I have ever seen they only try to get people in without thinking there weren’t any space for our food. They don’t know anything about costumer service !
Went here twice during our stay in New York! Had the tupelo chicken platter the first time round and it was delicious and it always on the checklist for me - New York Strip Steak. Had this the second time round! Cooked to prefection. Staff were friendly, helpful, busy and informative too!
Dinner during our first nights stay after an 8 hour flight and 1 hour transfer time from JFK was greeted with “you are 15 minutes early” Table service was good food ribs and burger etc was average - price is consistent as everywhere expensive
We had a dinner. Our waitress was vey rude and arrogant. He never tried to meet our requests and made a lot of mistakes in the order. His attitude was quite offensive. We ordered some drinks and foods from the menu (with included pictures) and he served something was different and we noticed that he answered that it was what we ordered. We asked for drinks without ice and he told us that drinks without ice are not good. One of our friend ordered one Manhattan cocktail and he told us that it was finished… (could be a cocktail finished? Are all components finished?). We ordered one bottle of water…. Never seen. When we called his boss, she did nothing. We paid and we left the restaurant.
I wish I could give this place zero stars. My friends and I (a group of four) recently visited the Hard Rock Cafe in Times Square and it was nothing short of a nightmare. The service was atrocious—we were ignored for long stretches, our server was clearly uninterested and unhelpful, and it took ages just to get basic things like water or condiments. No check-ins, no courtesy, no effort. When the food finally arrived, it looked sloppy and barely warm and missing important elements to the dishes. Not only was it bland and overpriced, but a few hours later, all four of us were violently ill. We hadn’t eaten anywhere else that day—there’s no question this was the source. This place is clearly surviving on location alone. It’s a total tourist trap with subpar food, poor hygiene standards (clearly), and a lack of care from start to finish. Avoid this place at all costs. Spend your money somewhere that values its customers and serves food that won’t make you sick. #travelwithMonica #cruisingburgers
Place gets very crowded but we got there early and had a table no problem. Waiting staff very friendly and happy to recommend food. We ordered a starter and main, the main arrived before starter so had to be sent back.
Do not visit this place. It was a complete shambles. Waited in line to be seated, only to be told "can't seat 4 people together, it's a 2 & 2"as we had 100 people in one party. They care more about money than customers.
Visited as part of a group. Had terrible service and awful food. Would not recommend. On two occasions chicken was sent out raw. This place needs some serious attention. I would not return and wouldn’t recommend to anyway. It’s overpriced for poor service and unsafe very average food.
Not sure if this was a good experience or meh. Never been to one of their restaurants before. Server was good, food OK as expected for a chain. We werent rushed and we were checked on. One of the orders came out wrong. Issue I have is we paid cash but the server came and found us as exiting and boldly told us the tip wasnt big enough as it pays not only her but the busboys too. Very awkward and we gave her more cash as she wasnt going anywhere. That would explain why the food prices were average, I was expected them to be higher. Perhaps they should add the tip to the bill rather than at someones discretion.
Don't go to this place we went Wednesday and the food was appaulling. They brought our food out just after giving us our starters. We told them we weren't ready and then they brought out the same food 15 mins later it was freezing cold.. we sent it back and the same food came back again on different plates... again plates were hot food freezing cold. The waiter was clueless and kept saying it was different clearly a lie the burgers were freezing in the middle and my daughters chicken tenders were hard and cold.. appaulling and disgusting never again
Poor Experience. Been to NYC a few times now, thought it would be a good experience to take the wife and kids to Hard Rock for some food and drinks during the Super Bowl.......big mistake. Reserved table online in advance. Arrived only to be told it was $50 per table and $50 per hour whilst there. No explanation or further info provided. Horrendous front of house staff. Sat waiting for a while, then when asked what's going on they explained we need a ticket, yet they didn't provide one. Finally got to a table, all seems fine and in reality the TV was on with the game, it's just the big screen and private area you pay for, why make a big fuss then Hard Rock, there was no need. Been to Hard Rock all over the world, NYC by far the worst. Oh the food, below average, bland and disappointing. Will never be back. Flat draught beer also, don't entertain it, go somewhere else. Saving Grace, Luis our waiter, polite, attentive and probably aware of the poor show that is this place so does his best for the customer and to make his money. Thanks Luis, the only good thing out of it.
