We have seen the outside memorials several times, but this time got reservations to visit the museum. Probably was there 3 hours. We did this visit with our son who was one years old on 9/11. Where as we have vivid memories of that horrible day, it was interesting for us to relive our memories versus our son who is aware but learned a lot from this museum. A must see. But it is a raw experience.

The tour was not delivered as described. We were supposed in a VIP Tour of Ground O, Museum and Freedom Tower. Our “expert” tour guide was poor. We did not receive a museum upgrade and no vouchers for the Freedom Tower.
Amazing tour and I learnt a lot, uplifting and educating. The museum is more of a memorial and less educating but still a must do in nyc
We visited the 9/11 Memorial & Museum earlier today, and it was quite a moving experience. Walking through the museum and going back in time to those events all those years ago really brings home the sheer devastation of that day and the lengths some people will go to in order to destroy families, friendships and innocent lives. We particularly liked the layout of the exhibition, which takes you through the memorable sequences of events that unfolded that day. Everything is very well laid out and presented in a way that allows you to take in the enormity of what happened, while also remembering the individual people and families affected. The staff were super friendly, helpful and welcoming, which added to the overall experience. One tip if you’re planning a visit — allow plenty of time. You could easily spend up to four hours here, especially if you want to take everything in properly rather than rushing through. A very moving and thought-provoking experience, and well worth the visit.
Learned a lot about the Battery area and 911 information that is more current. Guides love of New York came through.
Jim Q was excellent and very well informed and a good storyteller
The walking and museum tours were informational. Leanne was a great tour guide and very knowledgeable!
Our tour guide didn’t know anything about Ground Zero or the surrounding areas. Very disappointed in the lack of information
Very good tour guide but the provider refused to provide tickets despite being included in thie activity.
We booked the reserved tour for $60 each. We arrived a little early and all staff were very helpful and explained where we needed to be. We met our guide and he was fantastic. We have heard/watched a lot about the atrocities for 9/11 however this was extremely informative. Our guide was very communicative, he took his time and ensured every had heard what we was saying and always checking if anyone had any questions. It was a very sombre tour and really emersive. I definitely had a few tears! I would definitely recommend
Leanne was an amazing guide. Would highly recommend.
This felt more like a walking tour of lower Manhattan that just happened to end around the 911 museum. Having been on another 911 walking tour, the details provided on important 911 sites and landmarks were scant and underdeveloped. The booking and email confirmations themselves are confusing - as others have said - about whether or not you have purchased museum tickets.
Great tour very informative guide ( Gail) Definitely recommend
Our tour guide was awesome! So informative and friendly! Wasn't just 911 tour, but gave us some much history
Very emotional but factual experience. We had a fantastic tour guide who took us around the city and explained all the local history. I would definitely recommend this tour during your stay in NYC.
Our tour guide was very knowledgeable & Kind. He was early & gave me a call 📞 which was very helpful. Helped us take pictures. I Highly Recommend
Vivian was an excellent knowledgeable guide. She shared interesting information filled with true stories!
Leanne was amazing. She knew her stuff. She was friendly. I felt bad I didn’t have cash to give her a tip. It was well deserved!
The guide was great really knew her stuff, bit over enthusiastic. But I suppose that is better than no enthusiasm. We thought this tour included tickets to the museum but they said they were not included when it was ticked on my reservation.
We had a wonderful, energetic tour guide - Leanne - who was informative and entertaining. It made all the difference.
Wow you can just feel the emotions and sadness around 9/11 and the surrounding areas. We had a gocity pass so used it to do a self tour and access, it really is somewhere you can be for 2-3 hours! It is such a moving and special tribute to all those life's lost and those who helped. Their is so much to see and hear, the workers are all very helpful and one guy was a firefighter who was their when it happened. Their are so many tributes and artefacts you can see, it really is a special those sombre place its done in such a peaceful and respectful way.
Booked a tour for WTC...tour ended up being an hour walk of lower Manhattan with a few minutes at the WTC site. Tour guide treated us like we were kids seeing NYC for the first time...
Our tour guide, Leah Ann, was very good. Very knowledgeable and passionate about the history of NYC. We learned so much great information and history about the area and it all led up to the tragic day of 911. The memorial was very impactful and then the museum was somber but commemorative very well done.
We were scheduled for a 1PM 60-90 minute Ground Zero tour that was to start in Battery Park and end at the 9/11 museum. The vendor called at 11:35 and asked when we were coming. I told him our directions said to be there at 12:45. He asked that I call him when we were on our way. I called him at 12:30 on our way and he redirected us to join a tour in progress that had started at 12:15. We reached them around 12:45. The guide was excellent for the 15-20 minutes we had him at the survivors tree and two memorial pools. I called the vendor at 1:10 to ask about a refund and he wanted us to wait for him to come to us in 10 minutes and restart the tour in Battery Park. We had another commitment at 2:30 and told him that wouldn't work and we were disappointed that he hadn't advised us that the 1PM tour had been cancelled. Had we been informed we could have done the 12:15. I asked for a partial refund and then was directed to contact Viator. I tried multiple times to explain the situation to Hazel and our request for a refund. I was told they would contact me with a resolution. We received a $7 refund from our $71 payment. We paid $64 for a 15-20 minute tour. The guide was excellent but overpriced for the length of the tour. We have used Viator for multiple tours in Europe and have been very happy. We are very disappointed in how Viator handled our refund request for this aborted tour. We may need to review which tour company we use going forward.
Our guide was lovely - it was just the two of us so we were able to chat with her & ask lots of questions. She was a New York local so it was interesting to get a locals feel for the place. We did the museum upgrade & spent five hours in there. Very humbling experience.
Emotional and very informative. - the whole memorial and museum is a thoughtful tribute to all those involved or affected by 9/11. The events are well documented but the personal stories and artefacts add a different and new dimension. There are museum guides stationed around various exhibits and they are passionate experts who are well worth a listen to.
It's hard to put into word how moving, sad, emotional but also story's of people helping other people in their hour of need was just as emotional. The staff there where so friendly and really good especially the retired fireman who was near firetruck talking about the day and the lady walking around making sure people knew there was a film on about the boat rescue. So much to see that I was having to rush towards the end so give yourself plenty of time
Good trip but nearly missed it as they didnt tell the tour guide our new tine that they asked us to change to - really poor and lucky we found him by chance - they didnt respond to wahta app even though they whats app us the new time
You guys are the worse reservation company... For new customers, go with another company... Aviator sucks, they rip people off who travel...
09/11 Museum is fascinating and very well done. The format is easy to understand and navigate. Definitely recommend
Seeing ground zero, the memorial, and all of the beautiful buildings was absolutely awesome. Fabreez was my guide and he was fabulous. He was so knowledgeable and gave us all the time we needed to take in the sights.
Good introduction to the area history and knowledgeable guide . She answered questions too . 911 site is impressive and saddening.
A totally beautiful and well done museum dedicated to the 911 attacks. It is a must see and will definately bring a tear to your eyes. A must see when visiting the Big Apple!!
The tour guide was excellent and very informative. The problems where the tickets for the museum which where a bit overpriced and we’re sent in a screen shot picture so blurry they wouldn’t scan at the entrance, absolutely no help when I called the reservation number. Luckily I remembered to check my original email. Also please specify the the tickets to one tower are not included. That was a surprise as well.
Terrible tour. It started a long way from ground zero walking towards it all talking about New York history - although informative it was not a 911 tour. Once we got to the pools the guide said she had to leave and did not give us the museum AT ALL. I want the money I spent on a tour that did NOT EXIST back
Our guide, Vivian, was excellent, very knowledgeable, and accommodating. However, when she left us at the museum, we were told we did not have passes and had to purchase them in addition to our tour. We purchased "Ground 0 and World Trade Center Tour with 911 Museum Upgrade" which we understood to mean it included the museum. We had to pay an extra $23 each for admission at the entrance. Trip Advisor was very misleading. The name said WITH museum upgrade. How does that not include admission?? Beware when you use Trip Advisor. I will never used them again!!
I feel scammed by this. I purchased this and assumed the 'museum upgrade' meant I'd receive an entry ticket as part of this. This is not the case. It's a very misleading title, and trying to get a refund from the tour company is proving very difficult and they are very unhelpful and almost aggressive. On top of this the tour was very disappointing and not worth the money.
The museum was a sobering highlight of the tour. There were lots of people but it didn't feel crowded.
Very knowledgeable tour guide! Enjoyed the tour, I would do it again and this is the second time we have done this tour
The Museum is a must see and do activity. It is sobering, yet inspiring. Built around the the remains of Tower 2 it includes melted fire trucks and pictures of all those who perished as a result of Islamic Terrorism on 9/11 2001. The Museum includes information from all 4 crash sites. Military, retired Military and First Responders get in Free. We went the same day we saw “Coming from Away” on Broadway. Really made a big impact for us on the Play.
John was great. Interesting background details on NY but in hindsight I wish we had spent that time at ground zero and in the museum as we felt we didn’t allow enough.
This was false advertisement!!!! Do not book this activity! The 911 Museum is not part of the package.
The tour has nothing to do with events on 9/11. Very misleading in my opinion, making me think I needed tickets to gain access to this area.
Bob was informative and we learned a lot but unfortunately you sold us a plan with a tour of the Ground Zero museum. Which was closed. That was the main reason we took the tour. So very disappointed
This was an absolute eerie place to visit. Very quiet and solemn. It was a place to reflect and it takes you back in time to when it actually happened. We weren't in New York when it happened, but we felt the horror, sadness, anger, helplessness, hopefulness, the pride, the thankfulness of every first responders, the prayers for every family that this horrible act of inhumane hatred bestowed upon our incredible country. We all stuck together and we still stay strong. This didn't tear us apart, but it brought every American closer. And forever will. Seeing this Museum is something that will stay with you forever. Please take your time as you see all of the exhibits inside, it really is an amazing reflection of the attack on America that day, but also a reminder of the day that we all gathered together to become one nation, under God, indivisible, with liberty and justice for all!!!!
We had Loretta as our guide and feel like we hit the jackpot! Engaging, knowledgeable, charismatic...she made the tour very interesting . Her knowledge and expertise, particularly regarding 9/11, was impressive. The memorial is almost indescribable - the overwhelming loss our country felt and will always continue to feel, is masterfully, impeccably and respectfully represented. The lives of the fallen, the bravery of the responders, the pain of the survivors and families and the dedication of volunteers is profoundly and beautifully displayed. It is a somber, highly emotional memorial and will take a few hours to see and experience. We will never forget.
I have such respect for the people who put this museum and the memorial together. Be prepared to be moved to your core. This is an experience unlike any other. Don't miss it!
Nina was the best tour guide ever!!! She took her time with us, answered our questions, had tons of experience and knowledge to share. We thoroughly enjoyed her and could’ve spent the whole afternoon with her!!! Thanks bunches, Nina!
The memorial of the Twin Towers and the museum built at Ground Zero of the attack are a very moving visit to the exact point where this grave terrorist attack occurred, which cost the lives of more than 3,000 people. The museum is very well designed and executed, and it is worth visiting for at least about three hours. See some of the side wings that are not clearly indicated but are very interesting, many of them featuring videos or photographs. Undoubtedly, a very important point in your visit to New York.
Unfortunately, we were not there in time. It was not so clearly described what awaits us. There was no one at the agreed meeting point and no contact person. The tour should include a visit to the 9/11 Museum, which is closed on the day. When asked if we could get tickets the next day, we unfortunately only got the answer that we could reschedule the tour for $25 each...
