We brought a large group of college-age students and both guides, Jon and Denise, were able to cater the tour to their interests. Our group started at Sak's and walked down 5th Avenue, visiting Luis Vuitton, Coach, Swarovski, among others. The insider info shared was so interesting that I definitely want to book the tour again. Our guides were knowledgeable, upbeat, and fun, and it was obvious they love what they do. The guides let us spend more time in stores that most interested us. Great experience! Go book the tour now -- well worth it!

Itinerary
Your tour begins at the Saks Fifth Avenue flagship, the storied department store that helped define luxury retail in America. Here you'll learn the store's history and its role in shaping Fifth Avenue, take in its landmark window displays — the same windows famous around the world for their holiday spectacles — and discover how Saks uses visual merchandising, architecture, and brand storytelling to draw shoppers inside. It's the ideal starting point for understanding how New York became a global capital of fashion and retail.
The Nike House of Innovation 000 is the brand's marquee retail flagship—six levels and roughly 68,000 square feet of what Nike positions as the future of physical retail. Its slumped and carved glass façade creates a kinetic effect inspired by the blur of movement left by a speeding athlete, with a diagonal entryway that echoes the angle of the swoosh.
History of the mansion/landmark status
Coach anchors its Fifth Avenue flagship on a three-level, roughly 20,000-square-foot space designed by William Sofield of Studio Sofield. The store leans into the brand's New York heritage and leather-craftsmanship story, built around a blackened steel staircase and a mix of custom cabinetry, vintage furniture, and bespoke objects.
Tiffany & Co. has anchored this address since 1940 and is perhaps the most famous shop on New York's most famous retail corridor. Founded in New York in 1837, the house reopened its flagship in April 2023 as "The Landmark" following its first full renovation in over 80 years—a ten-floor transformation led by architect Peter Marino, with a glass-enclosed rooftop addition by OMA's Shohei Shigematsu.
Swarovski on Fifth is the Austrian crystal house's largest flagship—a two-story, roughly 14,400-square-foot retail space that opened in December 2023. Designed by Swarovski Creative Director Giovanna Engelbert, the store trades the traditional jewelry-counter approach for an immersive world of color and light, built around the brand's signature palette of pink, yellow, blue, green, and marshmallow.
Bergdorf Goodman is one of New York's defining luxury department stores—and for a window-focused tour, arguably the most important stop on the route. Its display windows have been a Fifth Avenue fixture since the early 1900s, long treated as a benchmark for the art of the retail window.

We had such an amazing time on the Fashion Window Walking Tour! Our guide, Denise, was exceptionally kind, welcoming, and a true fashion expert. It was so fascinating to learn all the hidden gems and insider stories behind some of New York’s most iconic and historic shops. You can really tell how passionate she is about fashion history. I highly recommend this tour to anyone visiting NYC—it gives you a whole new perspective on the city's fashion scene!
It was a nice way to sod a few hours learning about what goes on “behind” the windows. We were with Denise who brought unique insight with her many years experience in the industry. I’d highly recommend this tour for fashionistas and people interested in NYC and retail history
Such a fun adventure down 5th Avenue! Our group started at Sak's, touring all inside and then exploring various stores along the blocks of luxurious and elegant retailers. We were able to pop into Coach, Tiffany's, and Bergdorf Goodman. Our tour guide was not only fashionable in style, but well-reserved in the history of 5th Avenues and its iconic flagships, jewelers, and stores.
It was a great tour, I learned a lot and had fun strolling around the various stores and designs.
No one showed up for my scheduled tour. My daughter was looking forward to this and we are extremely disappointed Ted we got scammed. No one answers at the phone number listed on the tickets. No one responds to email. And we kept getting redirected between two locations. Don’t waste your money!
SCAM!!! It's totally a scam. I've paid the money for a nobody tour. I arrived at the meeting place( sure on time!!!), but nobody led the tour. Poor me asking for help like an idiot. Fool me around and get the answer is POLICY, so NO REFUND. What a TOUR!!!
The tour I took today with Denise was fabulous. She is an expert in designing window displays, and walked us up Fifth Avenue to many of the upscale stores such as Tiffany's, Bergdorf Goodman, Zara, and Coach while commenting on the design and structure of the window displays. We all learned a lot while having so much fun. Her knowledge of Art Deco architechure was an unexpected bonus.
This tour was amazing. I had such an awesome experience and Denise was so knowledgeable about the stores and brands within the tour. I will definitely do this again and I recommend it to people that want a little history lesson on 5th anenue fashion.
I had so much fun learning about all the fashion in the city. Our tout guide, Denise was so knowledgeable about everything going on with these companies and other things only someone in the industry would know. Learned a lot and if you like fashion, this is the tour for you!
Although I had no interest in fashion, I loved this tour. Our guide Anne told fascinating stories about the designers and provided striking facts. (The shoe department at Saks Fifth Avenue has its own zip code.) The windows and displays were amazing. I particularly liked Coach's huge stegosaurus composed of pocketbooks. Anne also gave enough tips on shopping that if I ever decide to become stylish, I will know where to go.
My daughter and I had a great time through the tour. Our guide was fantastic and though it was a really hot and humid day, she made it a fun experience. If you like to know how the fashion designers came to be and what inspires their window designs this tour is for you :)
My mom and I (47 and 65) totally enjoyed this easy walking tour of the iconic fashion streets of NYC! We saw and learned many things about window dressing, high end fashion, and designers that never even occurred to us before. We are certainly not gurus, and come from small town backgrounds, but this really appeals to everyone. Worth doing!
I am a marketing professor at FIT and this past summer went with my class on a guided tour of NY's fashion window's with WindowsWear. Everyone in the group thoroughly enjoyed the experience and my students learned a lot. As a fashion marketing professional myself, I found our guide Joline to not only be very enthusiastic and personable, but extremely knowledgeable regarding merchandising techniques used by some of the world's major retailers. I will definitely bring future classes on this tour!
Loved the walking tour with Denise, who is super knowledgeable about the space and answered all my questions ranging from the creation, roles, cost, and designs of the famous 5th Ave store displays. You can see a more thorough review on my blog melissainparis dot com by searching WindowsWear!
Our guide Jolene was very knowledgable about the history and the current creations of display windows in NYC. From Tiffany's to Coach and lots of things in between. It's something different to do!!
I really like this trip, it is very unique and I learn a lot from it. The tour guide is very professional and provide lot of useful knowledge and information not only about fashion windows displays, but also included the history of New York City. I am not a fashion design major student, but it was also very interesting and useful for me of joining this tour. Definitely worth trying and I highly recommend to you all!
My walking tour of the fashion windows in NYC was very fun and interesting! The tour guide knew so much about fashion, architecture and the history of the city. I would definitely recommend going on the Fashion Window Walking Tour in NYC with WindowsWear!
This is a great activity to do in New York: design, fashion, and glamour! Jolene was our tour guide, excellent, relaxed and passionate. She lead us through many fashion windows and it's really interesting to learn all about shopping windows, stores, and the brand. The headphones provided clear sound and toned down the street noises. Totally Recommended!
The tour is great! I truly recommend for everyone who is interested in fashion, retail, windows and NYC history in general. Denise, who gave us the tour, has a very interesting point of view about the retail projects and she speaks with property about every relevant detail. Awesome!

Walking tour was very fun and informative. Our tour guide offered a wealth of knowledge on window designs and industry trends.

Great tour! The headsets were very helpful. The person who gave the tour very knowledgeable about fashion, retail and NYC history. Definitely worth the time.
My team works for a large fashion brand / retailer in New York City, and we decided on the WindowsWear Holiday Walking Tour as our team holiday activity this year. Although we are locals and work in the industry, it was one of the highlights of the holiday season for all of us! We all learned a ton from our expert guide, who had years of visual merchandising experience working with top NY retailers - and so many stories to tell! It was such an ideal alternative to yet another holiday happy hour, we got to get out of the office and go on a mini-adventure together! Whether you are a tourist visiting NYC for the first time or hundredth time, or a local who is looking for a fresh, new way to experience the specialness of the NYC holiday windows, this tour should top your list.
Denise led our tour and she provided an amazing tour of the window displays of 5th avenue and the surrounding areas. It was worth every minute!
When we pay our festive season homage to NYC we usually select a locale and/or specific site(s) to explore. My wife Susan came onto the Fashion Window Walking Tour and immediately made this her priority; I consented. The tour was much more than expected. Our tour guide Anna was a font of knowledge and was a pleasant individual in the bargain. Not only were we able to get close to the decorated windows, but everyone seemed to be at their best behavior save for an insult to Anna by a swiftly moving sub human. Our other tour attendees were students, mostly foreign, which Anna handled with aplomb. The two hours past quickly, but it gave ample time to take in the noted attractions and take 'necessary' pix. Would we take this taour again? Misty certainly! .
This is “a must” in New York: design, fashion and glamour! Anna was our tour guide, excellent, relaxed and passionate. She lead us through many fashion windows with frequent stops ,interesting facts and history about the famous brands on Fifth Avenue from Zara to Tiffany’s .The headphones provided clear sound and toned down the street noises. Recommended !
My 5th ave windows tour with Joline was one of the best things I did on this trip to New York! I learnt so much about the history of the windows, the designers themselves and the art of visual merchandising. Joline moved fast through the info so you were never bored and had fine-tuned which interesting tidbits to deliver - stuff you could tell people later in conversation. It felt both historical and up-to-the-minute. I'll never look at a designer window the same again!
I loved the experience of this fashion walking tour. A lot of interesting info was provided. I felt so comfortable when walking on the 5th av. I was lucky since it was the fashion week in NY and could be the first to see the newest of fashion in NY!!! My tourist guide was so brilliant and super cool!!! She was all the time supportive and very nice! She is passionate about fashion and encouraged me to know more about it. She knows a lot of New York too. This is a must in a trip to N.Y. Will recommend to my friends =)
good and informative walking tour presented by a highly knowledgable individual. Time well spent in the shopping district of New York city.

This was a great tour! I learned a lot about the different aspects of creating and putting together the amazing window displays. I would definitely recommend this tour.

The tour was really well executed and is a tour that not only cover some of the great window display in the city but more than that some history how the retail industry has expanded from its original location. Joline was very prepared with information that I was also not aware of. Great walk
This trip was included in our NYCP and so we decided to go! It must be pre booked which was easy to do online on the website. Our tour guide Joline was excellent. Very friendly and easy to understand. Each person gets a head set to wear so you can hear Joline at a distance. The tour was very interesting as it brought the fashion and stories of New York City to life. Would recommend this tour and to also do it at the start of your trip so you know where all the shopping hotspots are!
I had a very enjoyable time on the WindowsWear walking tour with Joline along with my fellow colleagues from our Enterprise Trade Mission to New York. I was amazed at her indepth knowledge of fashion and all the incredible stores we visited both on Fifth Avenue and surrounding areas. She was so passionate and it was obvious she really enjoys her job and enjoys educating her guests about New York and it's history. I thoroughly recommend you do this tour, it's worth every minute and you will learn so much about luxury retail in New York. Thank you Joline. Sharon - Founder and Designer of Loxington.
I had an amazing time walking 5th ave. and learning about how each store changes their windows to fit the season or holiday. The Tour Guide Joline really new what she was talking about which made it easy to understand and to pay attention during the tour.
I was out in New York with 20 fashion entrepreneurs from the UK and this tour was the highlight for many. Jolines knowledge was second to none, full of up to date facts, info on trends and with her own twist of humour, she made for a great tour guide. I'd highly recommend doing this tour, you will learn so much in two hours and it's fun. If I were you pop to the Plaza hotel at the end for a cocktail too, finish off your afternoon in style!
Fabulous walking tour. We learned general information about how the windows are dressed as well as how light & color effects are placed in the windows for dramatic effects. We also learned how fashion reflects the current economy. Wonderful tour guide, Joline, answered all questions & was most accommodating to those who couldn't walk too quickly. Her enthusiasm & great disposition generated our excitement & made the tour even more enjoyable.
I'm a fashion design student and I can assure you this tour really opens your eyes into just how much work is put into the window displays in stores. You'll start out getting situated with some audio equipment to hear the tour guide clearly throughout the city (we had Joline, by the way, who was every bit lovely and incredibly informed), and then you'll proceed to visit major window displays and learn of the process, history, and industry secrets of visual merchandising. WindowsWear is a phenomenal company doing some really groundbreaking things and I would encourage you to learn a little about them and support them through this tour!
This tour is the perfect way to spend a few hours in New York City. It is informational, interesting, and most of all FUN. Joline is the perfect tour guide with a clear, loud voice and is so knowledgeable about all things fashion and NYC. Whether you are visiting or a resident, the content on this tour is constantly changing and is something that can be done every visit. Do not miss out!!

The tour was not as described, Macy's was the only store we saw on the tour which only lasted 1 hour and 20 minutes instead of 2 hours.
The description gave the impression we were to walk towards Bloomingdales and Barneys with information being given on the shop windows as we passed. Very disappointed the tour was not as described.

Joline and Jon are extremely knowledgeable and passionate about their work! It was so interesting for our students to discover all these aspects behind their favorite brands’ window displays. Both hosts are incredibly patient and attentive to their guests and are more than willing to answer any questions regarding the city and its retailers. Every guest will find a favorite aspect about this tour, which is why it's so amazing. Although, it is primarily a fashion tour, many have found interest in the history aspect or the cultural aspect of these window displays as well. Overall, the Windowswear team is charming and captivating! We cannot wait to go back! Thank you Jon and Joline. -LaSalle College International students - Fashion Trips, Yolande and Lili from Montreal, Canada
I have been wanting to do this tour for the longest time and it was definitly worth it! WindowsWear is doing some really great things for the city of NY! I have been to the city many times and I learned things I never would have known otherwise. The tour started from 34th to 57th street, and lasted about 2 hours. We totally lucked out because the weather was beautiful. Our tour was given by the CEO Jon Harari. Jon knew all kinds of interesting facts, answered some really great questions from the group, and was extremely personable. This is a great way to do something low impact, but active, learn some things, and see why Windows and Fashion are such a phenomenon. You don't need to be into fashion to benefit from this, but you will likely gain an appreciation for it. Great tour!!
I went to the WindowsWear Fashion Window Walking Tour with my friends Alice and Carlotta, who was visiting me for the holidays. I really enjoyed the tour, because it gave me a lot of interesting details about window displays, which made me appreciate the work of the designers even more. SInce the holidays were over (it was January 4), the windows at Lord & Taylor and Sachs were already being dismantled, but this wasn't a problem at all: our guide Joline Mujica gave us a great tour that started at the Rockefeller Center (with the Swarowski tree topper), continued along 5th Avenue and finished at Bergdorf Goodman. The part that interested me the most was the history of the brands and of the buildings, like the Cartier's Building, which Joline described with vivid language and a great passion. This was the perfect year to start the new year with style!
On Saturday November 19th, my friend and I decided to take a walking tour of fashion windows in NYC. It was an amazing experience for us as well as the group we were with. The team that led this tour was made up of a tour guide and the CEO of the company. Both were extremely courteous and very knowledgeable. In a city that is always in such a rush that the residents don't take a moment to look around, this walking tour should be experienced by both those who have lived here for years and those who are just visiting. The team will show you some of the greatest sights that would normally be passed by in addition to giving you some informative facts and historical points about the various stores that you stop by. Since it is in the heart of the city, you can do this tour when you have a few hours to spend and then go on to dine in one of the fine restaurants around the area. I promise you will be talking about this tour for years!
Really enjoyed the walking tour, it was great to see all the new windows and hear the stories behind them. Be sure to wear good walking shoes!
I was amazed by the tour! Very informative, many fun facts I didn't know about New York and the fashion industry. Joline was great, on time, she knows a lot! You can tell she is really into fashion and art by all the information she's willing to give. New York windows are incredible and very impressive. It's a nice walk because you are watching all this amazing stores and learning so much. Thanks Joline!
Joline is a fantastic host courteous well informed and great company. I learned a great deal of the history of New Yorks Maceys the business and windows. Other designer windows thier history and secrets. This tour is a must if you are visiting NYC
Really enjoyed my Fashion Window Walking Tour. Treated my Mom to the tour during a week long vacation to New York City, and we were not disappointed. Loved the fact they gave us all a walkie talkie so we could hear every word our guide had to tell us. Gave us fascinating information on all the major department stores, and all the history. Really gave you a great feel for where all the major designers and stores were located. our guide, was great and obviously knew her business. Please do note for older people that want to take this tour, it covers a lot of ground, so be sure to wear VERY comfortable shoes. Highly recommend this tour to anyone that wants to know more about shopping and fashion in New York!
Wonderful overview of New York's fashion industry. The tour guide was well versed I'm all aspects of the fashion world not just the windows. Learned a lot.
The walking tour was an amazing experience. It was very informative and fun to see all the windows. The tour is a must especially if you're into fashion. I never got bored and found it a unique experience by learning a different aspect of fashion and hearing interesting stories.
The walking tour was very interesting and was the perfect amount of time. As a student, I found it really informative. The tour guide was friendly and I learned a lot from this fashion tour. Overall, it was a fun experience and I would recommend this tour to anyone living or visiting the city as an activity to do!
