The guide was very informative and knowledgeable. The only thing that could make it better was to use individual headsets

Reviews
The sights were great but the tour guide didn’t add any value. We could’ve saved money and just done the ferries and pools by ourselves.
Our tour guide was great. She was very knowledgeable and you could tell by her comments that she loved New York. She was very considerate of the people on the tour, cautioning us to watch our step around construction and crosswalk. She had a wealth of knowledge and stories about Ellis Island and Ground Zero.
A wonderful way to see some of the major sights in NYC. Our guide Nina was very knowledgeable and helped us navigate the ferries and attractions making the tour very enjoyable. Highly recommend this tour.
Great guide with excellant narative and descriptions of Ellis Island, the Statue of Liberty, and ground zero memorial. It did involve a little more fast paced walking than we thought, but worth it.
I would not recommended this Tour/Excursion to anybody else as it is not exactly what one would expect. The tour is advertised as a guided tour. True to the words, you have a guide that basically show you where to board the Harbor Ferry, where to walk around the grounds, etc but lacks the “knowledge of a well informed and experienced Tour Guide” whom would be describing in detail the sights and points of interest. Our Guide-Martin was ill-informed, lacked the professionalism and friendliness of a Tour Guide. Not worth the money that we paid. Sad! 😟
We thoroughly enjoyed the complete tour. The tour guide was enjoyable and very knowledgeable. One suggestion would be if they supplied audio headphones so they can talk and walk at same time.
Not everyone in the group will continue on after Ellis Island. Ellis Island is the end of the tour for some.
Wonderful experience. No time to get board. The tour guide was fantastic &funny at times. Definitely worth the price
Tour guide Leanne, who was excellent & we all enjoyed her explanation of each & every place we went. She was funny & extremely knowledgeable &friendly. If we go on another tour we would love to have her.
We enjoyed the commentry from our guide, Nina, in particular but felt there was insufficient time overall to explore both the Statue of Liberty and the Museum & the Ellis Island museum. We felt that the half day tour was really not long enough to do justice to those iconic places.
It is worst tour package, while booking directly it should cost 26 dollars only but they charged 64 dollar per person. The guide is also not friendly nature
An excellent way to see several iconic NYC sites accompanied by a NYC guide who helps navigate the crowds and shares many very interesting details. Our guide, Gail, definitely tailored the experience to our small group. She was very intentional about making sure we had the time we needed at each stop, finding us an authentic local lunch stop, and giving us some great tips about other local-favorites for food and shopping. There’s time to spend about an hour or a little more at the Statue as well as Ellis Island. Definitely enough time for a good introductory visit. Plenty of great photo opportunities in NY Harbor as well. Wear comfortable shoes and be prepared to do a good bit of walking. Loved the is experience and our guide!
Excellent! Winston was great, very informative and personable. The tour gave us just enough time at each location to get a good feel for it but not too much time that takes away from the whole day. It doesn’t include going inside the Statue of liberty nor the 9/11 Museum. We preferred to do that on our own and go at our own pace. Would definitely recommend it!
Great trip. It gives you a taste of all spots we want to go back and spend more time but now know how easy to get to. Great tour guide. Picture is misleading you do not get to see this. Tour guide had great facts
Leanne was wonderful! She was informational and super friendly. My husband and I enjoyed touring with her by our side.
We got the New York experience, loud and fast, which was great because it was a perfect way to get immersed into their culture and understand life from their perspective. Our tour guide was AWESOME! She was super knowledgeable and provided us with a plethora of facts at each location. It’s clear to me that she cares a lot about her position as a tour guide and she was intent on giving us the best and most enlightening experience possible. My best friend and I learned so much about each location and the surrounding area, it was perfect! It was also a great way to create a game-plan for other places to explore post-tour! Highly recommend!
Tour guide was great. He could not provide a tour at the first 2 stops, which was disappointing. Really, it only worth paying for a guide at the 9/11 memorial. The first 2 stops should be done on your own. He gave a wealth of information and personal touches at 9/11.
The tour guide was very knowledgeable and entertaining!! I really enjoyed it! I gave it a four because I felt that I did not have enough time at each stop and then the tour finished early.
Great experience with a great local guide who gave us recommendations for local restaurants and bakeries and best things to check out while we are here
Great day out, very informative.
I’d never been to these places despite this being my 6th time in N. Y. city. My fave was Ellis Island - I could’ve spent all day there. Our guide was v knowledgeable and friendly. I recommend this tour.
Not really a tour we just walked ourselves around and most people on the tour got lost so by the end of the tour there were only 4 people left in our group
Experience was great. Our guide was from the area and very knowledgeable. Wish we were able to do ground zero first then Ellis island and liberty islands it was a long day. Highly recommend eating before you go and bringing snacks. The food on both islands was not great. But the trip itself was well organized and the guide was easy to spot and did explain a great deal.
This was a very expensive way to be told what time to get back to the ferry to head to each site. Otherwise, there was nothing else this offered that was beneficial. The weather was unexpectedly bad and snowed so the ferries were running late which was no fault of the group; however, there should have been some sort of thought on how to make this enjoyable or offered a steep discount for the amount of waiting just to begin and shortened visits at each place. There was no historical information provided about the statue or Ellis island so if you’re looking to learn anything new, you won’t. We’ve taken many tours through Viator and this is the worst one so far.
Lots to see n learn, guide was very nice and new about everything on our tour n in city. Definitely would recommend for all ages. Good shoes and dress appropriately
You could not fault the knowledge and enthusiasm our guide had for her subject. Would highly recommend. Excellent value for money.
Nina, our guide, was very knowledgeable about the history of everything we saw. I thought the amount of time spent at each location was adequate except for Ellis Island. It was a bit rushed. I’m guessing there may have been some kind of time adjustment needed to ensure that we had enough time to see everything that was included on the tour. It also helped that we had perfect weather. I would recommend this tour to anyone that wants to see a lot of famous sights in 5 hours. You must be able to walk quite a bit, and I suggest bringing snacks and beverages because there isn’t anytime to stop and eat. If you have Nina as your guide you will not be disappointed.
The tour was great. Our guide, Leann, was very knowledgable and very passionate about the history of New York, Ellis Island, the Statue of Liberty and 911 Memorial. She did a great job leading us through the sites. Highly recommend taking the tour to really learn about the history and significance of these national treasures.
There is a good amount of walking in this tour! Be prepared as you walk in each location and from the ferry port to 9/11 (about 25 mins).
Individuals must be able to walk at a steady pace. 2 individuals in our group could not keep up. Therefore. The excursion was ended before we got to the end. As we left on our own accord because of a time factor This trip does not give you very much time at all at each location. It needs to be a longer excursion to give it more time to spend at each location
Quick visit to Statue of Liberty and Ellis Island - if you want to visit the immigration records etc then you will need more time on Ellis Island. The 9/11 memorial pools are stunning.
Wear comfortable shoes. Excellent tour, our guide was very informative with facts. Definitely recommend
Our guide, Vivian, was a plethora of interesting information. She presented it in a pleasant way, and she was very good at maneuvering us through the crowds to make sure we got good views or places to sit. Vivian went way beyond what we expected, spending much more time with us than she had to , to make our experience one we will always remember.
Informative visit to Ellis Island and Statue of Liberty. Our tour guide had great energy and provided so many interesting facts and stories.
This was a nice way to go see some of the major sites and learn about them along the way. Traveling with a group (especially because I was in town alone for work) made me feel safer. Nina was our guide. She was friendly and informative. She did a good job of clearly communicating information and instructions. She helped us to get the most out of our time at each location. I would highly recommend this tour for those visiting NY. This was my second time visiting and definitely the most informative. Only con I thought was it would’ve been nice to have a bit more time specifically at the Statue of Liberty (or as Nina taught us, its original name, Liberty Enlightening The World) to do a bit more exploring and reading in the museum. All in all it was worth the money.
Our guide was very good in proving information and history of the sites we visited. Also provided additional interesting and relevant information relative to points of interest during our tour.
Great family experience- visiting the Statue of Liberty, Ellis island, Wall Street, Frances Tavern & the sacred Ground Zero/911 memorials. Vivian was our tour guide- she was knowledgeable, helped us find our family on Ellis island, she was a gem! We enjoyed our time with her!
It was awe inspiring to see these monuments, however, this tour group wasn't so great. The preferred boarding was the guide pushing through people. She didn't know what package we had paid for.
Nina was a great tour guide, we just needed more time at Ellis Island to see all of the exhibits. Will be back
This trip was perfect and very well organized. NIna was the most amazing tour guide!!! She is very knowledgeable and a wonderful story teller.
Vivian was an amazing tour guide. She was enthusiastic, interesting, patient & personable throughout our tour. Thank you, Vivian.
Absolutely! We loved this tour. Learning the history, I thought I knew this history but clearly I did not. Walking the halls and going up the steps of these buildings definitely makes it really and heartbreaking. This tour brought a new perspective to me. Our guide was wonderful! So knowledgeable and pleasant.
Gayle our tour guide was amazing! She was so attentive and informative about everything, she gave us so many recommendations and was very knowledgeable
Fantastic trip to Statue of Liberty! Vivian is a very knowledgeable guide and expert tour manger. Certainly recommeded for all.
My tour guide told me to meet somewhere on liberty Island. We were some English speaking and some French speaking. The English speaking people were told wrong information and did not get the full tour. So I did not get a chance to explore Ellis Island.. I asked for a refund and was denied. They said they could give me a future tour when I’m in New York, I live on west coast and don’t see me going back to New York anytime soon Stay away from this tour guide and Viator. So disappointed in their customer service.
Don’t waste your money! We booked the Statue of Liberty/Ellis Island/9/11 Memorial tour. They were 1/2 hour late meeting us to start with then halfway through the tour guide just disappeared on Ellis island and never came back! About 15 people in or group were just standing around wondering what happened. We had to finish the tour ourselves at the 9/11 memorial which I thought included museum admission - it did not, the ad was very misleading. We paid $100 per ticket thinking we would get a “tour”. All we got was an escort on the ferry that ditched us halfway through. I felt ok using this tour company since it was linked through TripAdvisor but it’s a complete ripoff. I could’ve had a better experience with a $25 ferry ticket!
Our tour guide, Gail, was phenomenal! She kept track of all of us, and she was so knowledgeable. She knows NYC! She even made the extra effort to get us on the subway to get us back to our hotel.
Although we had a good day, we didn’t understand that ‘fully escorted’ did not mean ‘guided’. Silly us. So we saw the sights, and had a super friendly escort, but we went away feeling short changed, and not having learned as much about the famous places as hoped.
Tour was worth it and guide Leanne was very knowledgeable. Easy meet-up location. Only complaint was WAY too many people were booked on our tour. Would not suggest this tour if you have mobility issues or difficulty standing/walking for any duration. The extra 9/11 memorial tour was not necessary and could have just as easily been done on our own. Note: if you hope to do Ellis Island “research” while there, you won’t have enough time. You have to reserve a space for a fee and tour stop is only about 30 minutes. However, the staff said it was easier done on-line via the historical family research site anyway. Overall, we enjoyed seeing the sites.
