Dyker Heights Christmas Lights Guided Tour

Dyker heights was so amazing and there is so many houses with lovely x MAs decs. The trip that I booked on the way home the guide took us to this place near Brooklyn bridge and the view was amazing. Every house has something going on i definitely recommend it I went on the first week of December on the Rockefeller tree lighting so it was quite quiet.

The tour tour guide and bus driver did not even know the proper route and ended up making us take an extra hour getting back. There were way too many people, and they couldn't even keep us all together. We were told to be back at a certain time if we got separated, and we ended up waiting a half hour for the rest of the tour group to get back. This was probably the worst Villa tour I've ever done.

This was a very cool and touristy experience on our recent trip to NYC. It was just SO crowded, which was expected since it was so close to the holidays. Be patient and enjoy the atmosphere! The additional stops on the tour were also cool.

I would rate this a 4-5 star for the sights bc they are definitely beautiful. However, I would give it a 3 as far as convenience & comfort. Be ready to walk a lot outside. If you aren't semi-in shape or have mobility issues this is not for you. Bundle up...it was cold and your outside at least 1 hour. Also, be sure to bring your own water or beverages. When you get to Dyker Heights, there are local vendors selling drinks/food but the tour guide advised not to purchase. Be sure to use the bathroom before bc there are NONE and you walk a good hour and are on the bus about 45 mins before and after (the description for this said restroom on bus but there was not). The Christmas lights were beautiful but were SO many people, it was hard to get really good photographs. Lots of shoving and pushing. Im glad I got to see it but wouldn't do again.

Our tour guide was fun and knowledgeable and made our tour very fun and engaging this trip will be a tradition for us when we visit NY again for the holiday season

This was such a wonderful experience. Our guide, Alvin was very knowledgeable about the history of the Christmas decorations at Dyker Heights. He was very patient and made sure we had the best experience. I’d recommend this to anyone in NYC during Christmas time.

Not worth it. We walked a few blocks and there were only like 3 houses to look at. I would not do it again.

Nice experience .. took the hassle out of driving to Brooklyn from Midtown. Plenty of time to walk around. Nice stop at the base of the Brooklyn Bridge.

A Jaw dropping display of lights. There were Great photo ops of the NYC skyline with a little Manhattan History Lesson thrown in.

Perfect tour guide ! very informative and took us by the best decorated homes! Everything was great! We saw alot of decor and stopping to see the Manhattan skyline was a bonus.

A surprising delight to behold the extravagant display of Christmas lights! Louis lead our group through the Heights with efficiency and humor, a challenge in the snow. Louis was informative and thoughtful with his guidance. I am grateful for the family pictures we gathered along the way. Wonderful memories ✨🎄✨

This was a great tour! Our tour guide Steve was awesome. My mom is older and has mobility issues and this was a challenge to walk on these uneven sidewalks. So I don’t recommend this for folks wit mobility issues. The charter bus was great and comfortable as well.

Amazing tour! Definitely would recommend. Our guide Matt was very knowledgeable and friendly. Gave us lots of information about New York and the beautifully decorated houses.

Our tour guide Louis led an excellent tour full of interesting details, music, and safety info. Even though the streets were crowded and snowy he did a great job of keeping us all together. Really enjoyed every minute.

Really enjoyed Dyker Heights, of course, but appreciated the wonderful bonus stories that filled both sides of the bus ride! Appreciated the photo op in Dumbo as well.

Jorge was an amazing tour guide! We had an excellent time! The stop at DUMBO for pics with the Brooklyn bridge and manhattan skyline. Jorge went above and beyond to make our experience extra special!

Stalina was a fantastic tour guide. She new so much and offered so much more information about New York that anyone could expect from this type of tour. Our guide was John, same name as our driver. John, our guide, was very knowledgeable about New York, having been born and bred in the city. The personal comments such as his local school, rivalries, etc. really added to the experience. Health and safety appeared high on his priority list. Very reassuring. Dyker Heights was amazing. Never experienced anything like it before. The effort put into decorating their homes was exceptional.

The tour guide Juan Carlos was so informative and gave clear and concise instructions so we wouldn’t get lost on the tour! My husband and I had a blast and the lights were beautiful and we got a free ride to Bryant park!

What's Important to You: This was truly worth the money. Guide was great, driver was great, definitely something I will be recommending to others. It's easy to look over all the options out there when in NYC or fear it's a tourist trap. Honestly, I just didn't want bother with the subway for this trip, nor drive through the city to Dyker heights. The meet up spot and drop off spot was convenient. The guide was very knowledgeable of the history of the areas we drove through. No add-on fees, no surprise costs, no scams.

Great tour guide( Jorge) gives a lot of details and history about NYC. Lights are amazing. We went on Christmas Day so it was really crowded!

Tour guide "Gary" had misconduct and discrimination to non-white people. He did not answer phone when we asked the location to meet for return from Dyker Lights to Manhattan. Leaving me and my younger kids at Dyker Heights on December 24th 2025 at night. It was extremely cold and we were standing there desperately for more than one hour. My daughter got a high fever and then we went to emergency because of "Gary". I have already reported to local authority and will definitely sue him.

The tour was good, guide Mike was informative and kept the mood jovial with Xmas music & anecdotes. Fun to see homes lit up. Enjoyed the stop near DUMBO and getting a good view of Manhattan skyline and Statue of Liberty.

This tour is amazing! We really loved all of it. Peter our guide was great and really knowledgeable. We loved that we got to go to the view point over in Brooklyn afterwards to see the skyline and night.

I've lived in NY my entire life & always wanted to see the Christmas lights in Dyker Heights. Our guide was great! He gave us background info on houses decorated & other historical info about the area. It was also the first time I saw the Brooklyn Bridge up close. I forget guides name, but he used the phrase "Choo choo" to when it was time to walk to next stop. My only tip is to dress warm!

Thoroughly enjoyed the whole experience. The guide was very knowledgeable and we loved walking around. Was very cold but there were cocoa stalls so was able to warm up

The guy who did the tour Dec 22 with the long hair has to find a different tour. This was suppose to be a fun Xmas event for my family....No Xmas music or Xmas anything!!!! It was a depressing history tour and buddy just seemed to be talking to listen to himself...jeez...His exact words at one point...."know your audience".....buddy....seriously take your own words to heart. 😒😒😒😒😒😒

Bathrooms available. Lots of city info by Mike. Fair amount of walking. Can bring a stroller. Lots of excitement and Christmas spirit.

Tour guide Mike was on time. He alleviated some fears telling me our first stop was a restroom. On the way he told us many facts about the city. Kept us safe and let us take pictures. Very thorough leader.
