It was extremely disappointing and completely unprofessional to cancel the trip at the very last minute, leaving the customer with virtually no opportunity to make alternative arrangements. Such a lack of consideration for the customer’s time, plans, and inconvenience is unacceptable and reflects very poorly on the service provided.

Fantastic day! The guide was extremely friendly and knowledgeable, and gave us lots of practical advice, e.g. where to buy drinks, where restrooms were, best way to access monuments, etc. Pick up was very easy. Would totally recommend. Thanks Dani!
The trip was spectacular. My mom and I enjoyed the whole trip from the moment we got on the bus. Very comfortable, we were able to rest. Before each stop, our guide Josh tried to explain absolutely everything to us, give us enough time for everything and it was definitely worth it. It is a trip that many people should make every time they travel to New York. An unforgettable and very repeatable experience.
Excellent guide , driving and explaining
Amazing experience! We took the NYC to Washington DC tour and it completely exceeded our expectations. From the very beginning, everything was well organized, the transportation was comfortable and on time, and every stop was perfectly planned. But the best part was definitely our guide, Josh. He has an incredible energy and makes the whole tour dynamic, engaging, and even fun. He’s not the typical guide who just repeats history — Josh tells stories in a way that makes you feel like you’re living the moment. We learned so much without it ever feeling like a class, and he was always attentive to everyone. I highly recommend it 100%. If you have the chance to take this tour with Josh, don’t think twice. Totally worth it!
Had an amazing tour with Yosh from Manhattan to Washington, DC. Highly recommended. We visited the United States Capitol, Lincoln Memorial, Arlington National Cemetery, Union Station, and the Martin Luther King Jr. Memorial. Long day but packed with history and totally worth it. Yosh was handling everything alone as both the driver and tour guide. Parking around Washington, DC is not easy, so most of the time he had to stay with the vehicle. If there were another guide, I believe he could have shared even more information during the stops. That said, Yosh still did a great job explaining the history, what to expect, and what to look out for while we were in the vehicle. One small suggestion, it would be even better if we could stop a little longer at the Capitol monuments for photos and to really take it in. The White House was slightly disappointing due to heavy blockades and limited views from construction and security concerns. Not the tour’s fault at all, just unfortunate timing. That was the only letdown. Overall, everything else was great. Thank you, Yosh!
Very good day out. Very informative and friendly service. Picked up on time, plenty of opportunities for rest breaks, sightseeing etc.
Great excursion. Very good tour guide named Josh. Comfortanle ride. Taken to all the main spots and given enough time to explore.
Highly recommend day trip to Washington DC. Josh the tour guide was very helpful, kind and accommodating. It was a lovely day trip at very reasonable price as well
According to the booking site and the company’s website, they pick up passengers from the New Jersey location as stated at 5:50a. My mother and I were waiting at the Jersey site from 5:10a and no one ever came. I tried calling their phone number multiple times but it went to voicemail, and attempted using their chat service which no one responded until after 10am where the person was very rude and stated that the bus was waiting at the New York pickup location until 5:45a. They did not call me on my cell phone and identify themselves or send an email. I asked for a refund and they ghosted me afterwards, not so much as a response. I wrote an honest review about it on their website, then they delete it. I would not recommend this tour to anyone as you will waste your time and money. They should really not advertise that they pick up people from both sites as they will leave stranded if you are expecting pick up from New Jersey!
I will recommended this tour to everyone. Our tour guide and driver JOSH was amazing....very knowledgeable and professional and very engaging with all the fellow travellers
Great trip covers most of the main sights, josh was very friendly and provided relevant comments in both Spanish and English
I had an amazing experience with Royal City Tours on their one-day trip to Washington D.C. The tour was well-organized, and we visited all the major landmarks—the itinerary was spot-on for anyone wanting to see the highlights in one day. Our guide, Josh, was absolutely fantastic! He was helpful, knowledgeable, professional, and had a great sense of humor. He explained everything beautifully and kept the group engaged with fun facts and stories. His upbeat attitude and constant smile made the whole day even more enjoyable. The group was fun and friendly, and the whole experience felt smooth and memorable from start to finish. I highly recommend this tour to anyone visiting New York and wanting a top-quality D.C. day trip!
The van was very comfortable and also did some stops between New York and Washington so it wasn't an unpleasant trip, the guides were very friendly and open to any questions from the people. Something important to take in consideration for those who aren't familiarized with city tours, you will only stop in the most important places and of course for those that are easy to enter and take some pictures, don't expect too much time between one place and another. So if you want to see the most important things in the city this is the tour for you.
The journey was exhausting - because of the long bus journey - but very nice. Josh was a great driver/tour guide. Everything went as planned. There was plenty of time to enjoy the sights. I would do another tour like that. Thumbs up!
Thanks to Joshua, we had an exceptional experience. From the beginning he was extremely professional, punctual and with an impressive knowledge of each place we visited. Not only did he simply give information, but he really managed to convey the history and essence of each site in an interesting and dynamic way. His attitude was always friendly, attentive to every detail and willing to solve any doubts or needs of the group, which made us feel comfortable and well taken care of at all times. It is definitely a great element that completely raises the quality of the tour. If you have the opportunity to tour with him, do not hesitate, it will make your experience much more complete and memorable.
I took the tour to Washington D C with Josh when I went on vacation to New York with my family the experience was excellent from the start he was very friendly attentive and explained everything super clear you can tell he likes what he does and makes the tour very enjoyable and interesting highly recommend if you want to know and enjoy the tour without worries
A very pleasant experience. Very punctual and Yosh is very experienced and competent both in the information provided and in keeping passengers interested and entertained. Shows a lot of empathy.
The guide Josh was always friendly and friendly. The tour ends up being fast and you need to pay attention to the group's schedules. It is a good alternative for those who are in NYC and want to get to know Washington quickly. The expectation was met.
Very intense but fun experience as a day trip from NYC. A long drive there and back but definitely worth it. Due to an event, unfortunately, some streets were blocked off so we could not see the Capitol up close. Many thanks to Josh, our driver/guide, who gave us the opportunity to see and visit many important landmarks in Washington DC. Really nice guy! Greetings also to Maria and Lisa "Wasabi";-) our companions that day.
