Deluxe Manhattan Helicopter Tour

From start to finish the experience was amazing, very experienced staff with safety a priority. The ride itself was such an amazing experience with a commentary of what you could see.

This helicopter tour was easily one of the most unforgettable experiences of my trip to New York City. Seeing Manhattan from above was completely different from anything I had experienced on the ground. The moment the helicopter took off, I was amazed. Flying over the city and seeing the skyscrapers, Central Park, Hudson River, and the Statue of Liberty from the air was absolutely incredible. The views were spectacular in every direction. I was taking photos almost the entire time, but honestly, there were moments when I just stopped and looked out the window because I didn’t want to miss anything. Seeing New York from above really gives you a sense of just how huge and impressive the city is. The experience felt exciting but also very smooth and well organized. The staff were friendly and professional, which made the whole experience even better. It’s definitely not the cheapest activity, but for me, it was 100% worth it. If you’re visiting New York and want to do something truly special, I highly recommend this helicopter tour.

Very professional service and easy to book in, It is expensive but this was a once in a life time experience.

5 people in a helicopter and one person who pays the same as everyone else on the flight gets squashed between 2 big guys in the centre seat, 4 inches less headroom and no view with someone leaning forward to take a movie or a photo for the whole trip. Add to that you pay extra for a locker and can't hear the pilot because of 3 different air traffic controllers all on the same frequency. Poor experience, wouldn't recommend for the amount of money paid!!! Fly with another company.

It started out rough, our flight was delayed, but they were able to reschedule for the next day. The ride was totally worth it and they accommodated us for the delay. Top notch.

They made us pay 3 times 40 dollar airport races, while in the mail of TripAdvisor it started that this was included and paid.

Very disappointing. Was delayed a long time and then the whole excursion was in French, because 2 other people spoke French. However the rest of 4 only spoke English. Waste of money with all the narration in French

It’s an expensive thing to do but what a wonderful experience. Felt very safe . I had a lovely sunny day and sat next to pilot . Great views . Don’t forget some tax is added on the day .

Amazing! Highly recommend to do in NY. Very lucky with weather so might be hard to book too much in advance. We did a Tuesday & booked the Sunday. Disappointed to get such a tax bill on check in. Could be a game changer for people. Also remember ID

Great experience overall. It was very cool and exciting from start to finish. The welcome was warm and professional. We just couldn’t hear the pilot very well at times, but it really wasn’t a big deal and did not affect our enjoyment of the experience.

It was great! Wonderful views and we were able to leave earlier than expected. Well worth the cost. :)

Staff were great, the flight itself was brilliant. There’s just a couple of things that meant it wasn’t perfect - firstly, it’s a bit of a sore deal if you’re in the middle seat and you have two window hoggers, and you’ve paid the same price. Also, little things like not having a clean window to take photos and videos out of - seems like a simple thing to ensure, especially when people pay a premium for the flight. Other than this, staff were so efficient and it was well run!

Amazing experience. Our pilot, Ely, was lovely and joined in with the family ‘banter’ One thing our booking agent hadn’t informed us of was the main part booker had to take ID. Luckily we found some but make sure, if booking, you have some with you.

Great people and amazing experience. The views are incredible. This is the second helicopter tour we did and this one was light years better than the one we did a few years back.

ID is required upon arrival which was not made clear on the tour description, also, an additional $82 for Tax needs to be paid, this was not listed either, for anyone not familiar with add on tax this could come as a surprise because when booked online it says Paid. With that said, the experience itself is amazing, I still give a 5 star truly base on the experience of the tour, the above are communication problems which can be improved.

Honestly, it's a lot of money, but it's one of those "do it once" things. The whole thing was really well-run from start to finish, which I appreciated. The staff was friendly and got us all checked out without any fuss. My husband got to sit up front with the pilot and was grinning from ear to ear the whole time. The views are just insane, you really can't comprehend the scale of the city until you see it from above. My only tiny complaint is that you have to be there so early and then just wait, but I get why they do it. The flight itself is smooth and feels way too short. Would I do it again? Probably not, because of the price. But am I glad I did it? 100%. It was the highlight of our trip.

Booked this tour as the other half had not been to New York before and it's something I think you should do. We booked the Deluxe Tour as you got 20 minutes flying time. We wandered down to Pier 6 which is next to the Staten Island Ferry Terminal and easy to find. A very friendly welcome from the staff and well organised. You get weighed as you enter (yes, I know, but it determines where you sit in the helicopter) then you pay the $40 each for the port fee (it's in the small print). There's a nice waiting room with toilets, drinks machine and comfortable chairs. You have to be there 45 minutes before and if anything changes with the flight schedule on, the communication is really good! Ours changed by an hour, they emailed and they called us to make sure we were ok with the time slot. You then have a training video and are given your life jacket, then off you go to meet your pilot. The other half was lucky enough to sit up front with the pilot (made his day!) and I was on the back seat (too many hotdogs is my only excuse!) then off we went. A great flight over the hudson, up to the Statue of Liberty and along the skyline, great views and a smooth flight. We landed back after 20 minutes and returned to the waiting room. We thoroughly enjoyed it, the staff were professional and would definitely recommend this one.

This was a nice tour. Organized. The guide is a recording you don’t hear from an actual person. Our headsets didn’t work for the first 1/2 of the tour so it was hard to know what the talking point was but the pilot fixed it. You never fly over any part of the city, just along the river. They will also offer to take your photo at the helipad for 25$ for 1 picture or 25$ for all 5 pictures. The funny thing is it’s the same photo! They dont take different photos of you around or in the helicopter. Which was funny that they bragged about the 35$ for 5 photos instead of 1 even though they are all basically the same haha overall a great trip. Beautiful views.

This tour is an unforgettable way to see New York City from above. Don’t book it when the president is in town they cut the flight short because of that but otherwise was a good time.

Be on time! The tour is excellent. However, once in the the air I think it could be a little longer by not flying at such a rapid rate to allow time to view and take photos. Kind of expensive for flight time.

Wasn’t very deluxe helicopter was smallest of them all and leaked water from air con on our laps bit of a shame as we paid a bit more disappointing but views were great

First time on a helicopter tour and first time to NYC. So, very excited to see the skyline and sights from above. The tour guide was quiet the entire time approximately 20-25 minutes. Only 2 couples on this trip. Would have been better if guide was pointing out certain highlights and offering information of what we could have expected to see. So-so, won’t use again.

A staff member stood at a table and ate breakfast, totally unprofessional. We arrived early and they put us on the next flight to fill the helicopter with 4 other large males. We had to pay extra at the office instead of it being included in the price, poor management, wonder how much of the US$80 went under the table? We paid US$1,000 so Frank Sinatra could sing New York New York as the rest of the commentary was in a foreign language. Had we known we would have bought a good bottle of bubbles and had him sing to us in our lounge room. Told us to help ourselves to coffee but we had to pay an extra US$5 for cheap coffee. Not value for money, could not recommend this company. Very very disappointed.

I've always wanted to do an NY helicopter tour and with plenty of options, I chose the Deluxe Manhattan. There are different levels of the tour and part of me wishes I had done a longer one. I was able to book the tour easily and communication from the company was good. They even called to ask if I wanted to get on an earlier flight. There are a lot of photos on the website so my advice would be to call and confirm if there are certain things you want to see on your flight and how well you can see them. Our flight took off from the heliport and immediately went over the Statue of Liberty. The rest of the tour went up and down the Hudson including my personal favorite of the Intrepid Museum. You can see some landmarks from the area of flight but it stays over the water the whole time so unless it's at the waterfront, you will see it from a distance. All in all, for the price, this was a good tour and I'm happy I did it. Also, everyone on the flight has a chance to get good photos and video without any obstructions in the helicopter. (This was an issue on another flight I took once before in a different state)

Cancelled last minute. Very little notice or reason extremely disappointing as this was to be the Climax to our visit

This was a birthday trip and I was in awe from booking, arrival at the pier, not to mention how pleasant the staff was...absolutely amazing. The pilot was pleasant and very informative. The views ...wow, what can I say ....amazing!

Great to see NY from the air as it takes time to travel and see it on the ground. The pilot and staff are friendly and it was definitely good to see up above. Book the longest tour possible

I have reservation at 1pm and they ask to be 45min before, so we arrive at 12:15, but they left us waiting until 2:30pm when we start departure! We lost more than 2 hours due to their inefficency and terrible organization! I don’t recommend this company at all and never coming back

The staff was terrible. I've been on Helicopter tours before...Chicago...and I feel like EVERY employee at this establishment hates their job. It's unfortunate. People pay a lot of hard earned money to experience something amazing...and the staff literally made me feel as if they were there to herd cattle and just get through the day. The flight was beautiful and the pilot was great, but the ground staff needs to work on their people skills. I would recommend trying a different agency.

Got there an hour before for check in and everything was easy. Great experience and well worth the money. Was busy at the port but felt like staff handled it well.

We hired NY Helicopter Tours and now we’re writing this review from heaven. Honestly, what a ride — 16 glorious minutes of wind, wonder, and sightseeing bliss. We soared past Manhattan, waved at Lady Liberty, and then surprise! — express check-in to the afterlife. Highly recommend if you’re looking for breathtaking views and an out-of-body experience. Would fly again (but maybe with wings next time)

Wonderful experience... we traveled up and back along the Hudson ... the weather was fantastic.... if you've never done this you're in for a treat .
