There was only two of us with the guide. Not guaranteed but it was great, could hear everything, we asked a lot of questions!

Hi, We have appreciated the tour and Ramona is fantastic. She has been charming, funny and she has spoken the american language in a easy way also for us ... She was also wonderfully dressed🤩 Thanks Raffaella Roberto and Aurora
I did the Chinatown history tour with my friend and her 10 year old daughter. Ramona was interesting and also funny. We loved it!
ramona was great: we loved her attitude and explanations
Insightful, guide had great knowledge above Chinatown and NYC. Got to see all the nooks and grannies of Chinatown
Guide Ramona knew all the details and has a great sense of humor! She is doing for sure more than a normal tour guide, showing she is really into history
This was an interesting tour of Chinatown. Loads of history ranging from religious practices to tourism and everything between. Romona was knowledge and it was evident that she loves what she does.
Our tour guide Ramona was very impressive. She had a good understanding of the history of the area and delivered the information in a very lively manner.
Ramona was a fantastic guide. She had a wealth of knowledge and led on a great 90 minute tour of the area. Highly recommend!!
Ramona may not be tall, but you won't lose her on the tour! She is exceptionally knowledgeable about all things Chinatown and its temples. Highly recommended!
I was born and raised on the outskirts of Chinatown. My interests were always dining and food shopping there and I had experienced a lot about Chinatown over my 60 years. I realized that much of the original history was missing. Ramona was a fantastic tour guide! She provided the insights I was missing in a friendly informative way! I would definitely recommend this tour!!!
An interesting way to see and learn about New York's Chinatown and the Chinese immigrant history of NY and the USA. Ramona, our guide, was very knowledgeable and her enthusiasm made for a great experience. Be advised that there's a lot of walking and standing but there's a lot to visit. The tour traverses some of Little Italy and we were able to appreciate how much things have changed over time, with Chinatown expanding as Asian immigrants arrived and Little Italy shrinking as Italians moved to more prosperous, less crowded neighborhoods. The visits to the Buddhist and the Taoist temples were particularly interesting, as we had never been in one before. It was my first visit to Chinatown, and I'm glad we took this tour.
Wonderful guide who gave us an intimate portrait of Chinatown and allowed us to meet people and learn history. It was well paced, not rushed. Will recommend this tour to others.
I did this tour with Fan as a guide, it was really great! He explained everything so well and had an answer to all my questions. I would certainly advise Dan as a guide since he was so friendly and knowledgable
Dan was my guide and he was very insightful about the history and knowledge of the neighbourhood. I went to the Little Italy tour which Dan was also my tour guide, there were some overlaps but he was just as insightful
We can totaly recomend this tour and especialy the tourguide named Dan, he was very informative and we enjoyed it very much. Thank you
Guide was knowledgeable and it was convenient to have someone do the work for me in determining where to go. The guide was personable and gave time for pictures and questions, and lunch recommendations. Access to the benevolent building was interesting and added a lot. Guide had some strong opinions on current events and while we were in general agreement, I could see where that could get awkward quick! Only reason for 4 instead of 5 stars.
The tours listed all ages. Opinions/bias of our tour guide overshadowed and colored the tour. Some information not appropriate for a 9 year old.
We had a great time during this Chinatown tour! Chinatown seems a place tourists can easily walk in alone, but with the same ease they can get lost. Our guide Dan brought us to all the most interesting spots, illustrating us the history and raise of Chinatown. He also pointed out the most interesting personalities in the history of the neighborhood. We ended our tour with a visit of the American Chinese Center, with photos and documents dated back to the beginning of the XX century! I also highly recommend the Little Italy tour, also operated by Tommy's New York, that we did on the same day always with Dan.
Dan was a great guide for the tour. He explains everything very well and we learnt a lot about the history of Chinatown. I recommend it!
Nice experience. Interesting places and stories. The tour guide is friendly and informative. Got the chance to visit an office which is usually not open to public. Recommended.
Our tour guide Dan was great and we really enjoyed the whole time. Dan was really knowledgeable about the history of the area, both long ago and more recently. He kept the pace lively and while I’d worried my teenagers might get bored, they never did. Seeing inside the temples & community center was special; something we’d not have been able to figure out on our own. Our family also ate at 2 of the places Dan recommended; yum. We ended up adding on the Little Italy tour as well, also well worth the time.
We purchased the Chinatown walking tour through the GO Pass. We showed up near the Chinatown Information Kiosk on time and our guide was there waiting for us. The tour was very pleasant and informative, as we walked around Chinatown for around 90 minutes. Our guide was very knowledgeable and passionate. He delved into detail about the history of Chinese immigration into United States West Coast and then, the East Coast and subsequently about how Chinatown became established in New York. I found his narration compelling and interesting. Towards the end of the tour, he gave us some recommendations for spots to grab lunch, that was also a nice touch! We came away from the tour with a much deeper understanding of the Chinese community in New York, and I have this tour to thank for that!
Great walking tour of Chinatown. Dan was very knowledgeable, friendly, with great insight. The Chinatown area of NYC is full of little gems.
Dan., Our tour guide was extraordinary!! First time in NYC! He made it interesting from beginning to end!
We are a family of 5 (14,17,20) and we have the New York Pass. We had to book the tour via their site and left a creditcard number only for reservation. However, the tour is really for free with the NY Pass. We were delayed by a few minutes and could not be there on time. I sent an mail about it and got a response right away that they will wait for us. What a service! Someone really waited for us and brought us to the rest of the group. Thanks again for your understanding in this and helping us out. Our guide, Dan was very knowledgeable and he could tell it in a way that even our kids were interested in his stories. We could ask everything we wanted and he had the answers. It was really worthwhile.
Our guide, Dan, was fabulous, so informative and not thrown by any of my random questions. Highly recommend this tour esp for families with teens. Also he pointed us to great dumplings!
What a great tour! We were a small group, but Dan, our tour guide, gave us the full Chinatown experience. His knowledge of the area was amazing, we learned so much about the history, culture, and even architecture of Chinatown. We were able to enter some buildings that would normally be closed to the public, including a Buddhist temple. We ended with recommendations for lunch which turned out great! We highly recommend Tommy's New York tours!!
Spent a couple of hours in the hot New York sun (90 degrees in October??) taking a very informative tour of Chinatown. The tour felt a little long towards the end (though again, the heat may have played a role) but our tour guide Dan was super knowledgeable about every nook and cranny of the area. Chinatown seems small but when you actually start to walk around it feels super large and there are stories around every corner. Well worth the time, though I'd perhaps pick a slightly cooler day.
I did my solo trip to NYC and wanted a decent tour and I can say that this tour was extremely helpful. I had an opportunity to learn a ton from Mike and the other guy with him. They were very through and intuitive about every niche of China town! I highly recommend this if you REALLY want to see all of China town and its history. You will not be disappointed! Thanks Mike for everything!!!
Our Ramona was fantastic, thank you very much for this beautiful discovery of Chinatown very pleasant and especially very interesting.
We did with Ramona both the tour of Chinatown and little Italy. His professionalism and sympathy really won us over! Despite his very young age he is really professional and competent!
Very good tour, tour guide Peter Yew talked in detail about the district, the mentality and gave us some background information that we didn't know before! Highly recommended!
Excellent Service Loved it. 100% recommended. Learning about Chinese culture is amazing. I really liked it.
Very detailed explanations. Our guide knew the area, the cultural backgrounds of the residents. The "group" was very clear. It was just my wife and me. We can only recommend this short tour. Thank you
We booked this hike via the NY Pass. Our guide, Dan told passionately about the history of Chinatown. With this genuinely friendly man I would have wanted to visit all of NY!
We arrived late and the Manager of the company accompanied us directly to pick up the group this to say the level of American Service. Specifically, these tours require knowledge of upper middle English because the guide speaks slowly helping as much as possible but does not speak Italian. We liked the tour because in addition to passing through all the essential points of Chinatown the guide in addition to explaining is always lavish with historical details and life lived making very well the difficulties of Chinese immigrants, their evolution and modern times
