Central Park Walking Tour

Jeremy Wilcox was our tour Guide through Central Park. He was amazing in his command of facts and knowledge and he was very sensitive to the group needs.

Excellent way to see Central Park. Jeremy was the best! Historical facts, personal facts about his memories of Central Park and how it's changed over the years. You would not understand the significance of this Park without Jeremy's input. Loved the "Imagine" mosaic.

Very informative. Fun and was able to ask questions. Being 65 he walked a little fast for me in the beginning but got better as time went

Jeremy was incredible. So knowledgeable - answered our many questions - and taught us so much about the park. He was also gracious and patient as we waited for coffee at one of the Illy stands. Definitely recommend this tour!

I took the tour with high expectations but my God, Jeremy surpassed them all! This was my friends' first walking tour and he was truly amazed. The route was genius, and Jeremy literally answered all our questions (which were many): he is very knowledgeable and has a joyful way of explaining everything about the park: its evolution and current state. 5/5 could not recommend more. Probably one of the highlights of my vacation.

This Central Park walking tour was amazing! We thought this would be one of the best ways to see the park in the limited time we had in the city, and boy were we right! Jeremy was our tour guide and he was knowledgeable and funny! We LOVED this tour and highly recommend it for anyone coming to visit NYC!

Our tour guide Jeremy was very well informed, and an obvious expert on Central Park. He had an easy way of informing us about Central Park, starting with the origins and the designer and architect of the buildings and bridges. We visited on a very snowy day in February, which just added to the scenery. The tour does not cover all of the Park as it is huge. The part we explored took a couple of hours or so to walk round so be prepared! Jeremy was happy to answer any questions we had, and said he hadn't been asked anything he couldn't answer. There are some architectural gems that you will come across, but it's best you discover those if you book a tour. Overall a very enjoyable tour led by someone who knows his subject. I'd definately recommend this tour

Jeremy was a wealth of information and very engaging. Our group enjoyed the tour of Central Park immensely.

We had a brilliant time with Jeremy. He is very personable and knowledgeable and we had a great time exploring. However we will be telling all our friends to make sure they go to the bathroom before the walk. Bethesda Terrace bathrooms were the dirtiest most disgusting of the bathrooms we have encountered on our travels over the last thirty years, even in third world nations.

Jeremy was extremely knowledgeable about the park’s history, places of interest in the park and answered everyone‘s questions. I saw exactly the sites in the park I wanted to see. He recommended a restaurant for lunch to eat, (Friedman’s) after the tour and it did not disappoint. I will definitely recommend this tour, but would warn about a couple of hills to climb.

Jeremy was an awesome guide through Central Park. I moved to NYC over 20 years ago, and I took my mom who was visiting NYC. I loved it as much as she did. I had no idea of the history that Jeremy taught us and led us through. I recommend it for anyone -- New Yorker or visitor -- or combination of both. Thanks, Jeremy!

Loved this walking tour. The guide grew up in NYC and has done obviously done a lot of research about the park’s history. He also has a lot of little tidbits of information that he’s picked up during the 8 years he’s been doing this.

This was my second visit to the park and this time I opted for a guide as I felt I had missed lots of the history on my previous visit. Our guide Jeremy was very knowledgable and the pace was good. An excellent value for money excursion and highly recommended

The concept of this tour was very good. There was a lot of interesting information about the park that was shared. My experience was not so great though. Jeremey walked so fast, I couldn't keep up with him. And I wasn't the only one he left in the dust. Once I got to the location, he had already begun his presentation. He often showed images on an iPad, which was hard to see because the sun glared on the screen. At one point, I sat down to rest a moment and he and the group were gone. He didn't attempt to contact me to help me get reconnected with the group. I felt like he didn't care if anyone heard what he said, he just kept trecking along and if you fell behind you just lost out. If you are a fast walker, this tour is for you.

Great tour! Lots of great historical trivia. Our tour guide made it kid friendly with a stop at the carousel and lots of boulder climbing. Perfect day!

My wife and I really enjoyed our tour of Central Park with Jeremy. It was both informative & entertaining. My wife lived in the City for 10 years but we both learned so much about Central Park. It’s a great history lesson but also a lot of fun seeing where some of your favorite movies were filmed. The tour ends at Strawberry Fields and it made these Beatles fans feel introspective but also very happy. We will definitely take another tour with Custom NYC Tours our next time in New York.

Really worth the time to take this tour. Saw a number of the more famous sites on the south side of the park, plus learned a lot about the park in general, and about the areas we visited. Our guide, Jeremy, was very knowledgeable and friendly. He obviously had a lot of pride in the park as a resource for NYC. The walking pace was just right... not rushed, not lingering.

great tour: Jeremy was very knowledgeable about park history, plants, trees, and regulations. Even my teenagers learned something. Also liked how he pulled in movie trivia and history into different spots in the park.

Our guide is very knowledgeable about Central Park. He was able to tailor his tour to our preferences. He answered all of our questions. It was nice to have a small group for the tour. We were able to see the Mall and Literary Walk, Bethesda Terrace, ponds, lake, bridges, the Dakota, and the "ramble area". I recommend this tour to anyone who has seen Central Park before or anyone who has never ventured into the park.

Jeremy met us at the Sherman Statue at the entrance of Central Park and then gave us a wonderful tour of the park with so much knowledge and interesting facts. I had previously had a tour of the park on a pedicab but this tour was way more informative an interesting. One of the highlights of our stay in New York!
