Sarah was fun and a great story teller. Loved hearing the inside scoop and history about these long time family run business treasures in Brooklyn. Heading back to this neighborhood later this week to stroll some more and to circle back to these delicious foods and treats.

Great guide, Sara is wonderful. Excellent itinerary and selections. Highly recommend.
Great local food from sweet to savory dishes. Also visited a unique sidr honey store. Our tour guide Craig was a very knowledgeable local who gave the local history in a very engaging manner. Highly recommend.
Our cruise ship stopped in Brooklyn and we booked this food tour. The guide was excellent and gave us an interesting historical tour of several areas of Brooklyn, while also sharing some great local eats. It was interesting , the food was varied and good, and we had a great time!
We had a most amazing tour with Sara. She mixed history, neighborhood culture and food together in a perfect way. We had great food including croissants, bagels, pizza, chocolate and more. This was a last minute booking for us and it turned out to be one of the highlights of our trip! I would highly recommend this tour to everyone!
Sarah was the most intelligent guide I have met. She takes pride in the community she loves and offered interesting historical facts. The food was delicious! Table 87 is the best pizza I have ever had (and the best I have tried in NYC). The Chocolate Shop was the perfect way to end the tour. Get the hot chocolate! Thanks for a wonderful experience!
An excellent tour of Brooklyn. Delicious street food and great insights into the history and the area. Sara was very knowledgeable, friendly and helpful, she gave us tip on other places to visit, things to do and transportation. We all thoroughly enjoyed the tour.
Greg was a wonderful guide. The information about Brooklyn and the food stops and tastes were wonderful. There was plenty to eat.
James is very knowledgeable and provided many interesting facts wrapped in delightful stories. I am a local to the area and learned much! Thank you James for a wonderful tour!!
We really enjoyed this tour and getting to see the beautiful Brooklyn neighborhoods. Loved learning about the history and seeing some amazing brownstones.
James was great. Easy to hear, very informed about the history, neighborhoods, and the foods we ate. All of the stops were small, local places that are important to the Brooklyn vibe. A wide variety of foods, ending with delicious chocolate gelato and candy.
James was phenomenal he was so sweet and so knowledgeable. I’ve lived in Brooklyn my whole life and hadn’t known so much about Brooklyn. The places we stopped by were so cool and the food so delicious. I can’t wait to stop by again.
Not the best experience. Guide should use a headset mic as we could not hear her very well. Food portions were small (1/4 of a bagel, half a croissant?). This 3 hour tour turned into 3 1/2 hours as the guide talked too much.
Our tour guide, Brian Hoffman was excellent. He was knowledgable and personable. We learned a lot about local food and Brooklyn history, and had some yummy eats. We enjoyed the tour very much.
Very informative, good exposure to Brooklyn food and groceries.
Greg was fantastic! He knew so much about the Brooklyn area and shared some great historical stories. And the food stops were all delicious! He also did a nice job catering to one of our group that needed GF options. Great tour!
We learned a lot about Brooklyn history and culture really enjoyed visiting the mom and pop stores. Our guide was great and friendly! We would highly recommend.
Let me just say that Joanne was sensational. My wife and I thought her to be very professional and courteous during the entire tour. My only gripes are that we did so much more walking than we did experiencing the foods. Much more history given than tastings. I would have loved it more if there were much closer food stops and descriptions about their establishments and locations than what was provided. We were also disappointed in the very small bites provided at the food stops. Even the slice of pizza we received were cut in half to share. Portions provided were ridiculously small to say the least. I would have preferred to pay more to receive single serving at each stop as opposed to dissecting a single serving to accommodate tour participants. Again, the tour guide was wonderful but wanted to point out our concerns around labeling this a food tour.
The tour was really interesting and informative. Miriam did a great job introducing us to Brooklyn and all its fabulous architecture. The food was absolutely delicious too
Alex was a lovely guide! Well paced and well versed.
What a wonderful way to experience the intricate stories, history and flavours of Brooklyn! So many places we visitied we would have just walked right passed if not on the tour. Trying the unique flavours which are tied to the history of each unique neighborhood made the whole experience more meaningful. And all the food was fab! 3 hours of snacking and learning and we definitely walked away with full bellies! Greg was a real gem - we thoroughly enjoyed his exceltional knowledge and stories - such a great host!
This is more of a historical walking tour with food sprinkled in rather than a traditional food tour. Our tour guide was excellent—incredibly friendly and knowledgeable. Having taken other food tours in NYC, we are used to leaving completely stuffed and struggling to take another bite. That is not the case here; you will do so much walking that you’ll actually leave craving more food. The food varieties we tried were all excellent. However, keep in mind that almost none of the stops have seating, so there are no opportunities to sit down and enjoy the food or take a break from walking. I would definitely recommend this tour, just be prepared for a history-heavy experience!
Interesting enough tour and James was a good guide. Learned some history we didn’t know. But for $70 I’d maybe have expected more food rather than a selection of very small bites. And not just because the website pictures a large pizza. Actually we had a very small slice. But to be fair there was a lot of variety in the foods sampled, and it was all tasty The tour highlighted places for us to visit afterwards and to feed ourselves.
A great way to experience local business and get a background on the neighborhood. Our guide was a local who clearly loved the neighborhood and shares lots of interesting tidbits. The food was outstanding.
This tour was fantastic and filled with amazing food. Our guide James made the whole day memorable with all his knowledge of the area as he lives there himself. Would recommend in a heartbeat!
Sarah offers a great mix of history and yummy food, not too much, just enough… do it you will be so glad you did. Great intro to Brooklyn
My wife and I are from Australia. Greg was a great host. His knowledge of Brooklyn was fantastic. He showed the true Brooklyn experience with the different cultures and foods in the area. Brooklyn itself as a borough is great as well. Beautiful brownstone buildings and a very funky vibe.
Sarah was a very knowledgeable guide . So friendly, loves her area and what she does. Tastings were so yummy and the architecture so interesting and pretty. We had a wonderful tour with bathrooms and rest stops along the way.
My mom and I decided to do this Brooklyn Food Tour on our trip just to try more local shops and walk around Brooklyn neighborhoods we had never been around before. Luckily, this tour was great for that and our tour guide, Greg, was truly awesome. It was just the two of us on the tour with Greg. He was extremely patient, cultured, and helpful. He amazed us with the number of facts he knew and pointed out a ton of additional hotspots that we should visit the next time we stop in the city. Super glad we chose this tour in specific and hope to have Greg on another tour with us again. This company has always been great to us.
My wife and I took the walking food tour of Brooklyn on July 31, 2026. Our guide, Greg, lives in Brooklyn and is definitely a proud local resident; he was an excellent guide, very knowledgeable, pleasant and informative, always willing to answer questions. He kept us on a good pace, and made sure to stop now and then in a shady spot on a hot day. Greg gave us little lectures at many stops along the way to tell us about the history and culture of the neighborhoods, from Revolutionary war times to the present. We stopped at six local food places, from delis to pizzerias to chocolate shops. At each place Greg told us about the history of the businesses, and introduced us to the owners of several of them; he seemed to be on first name terms with all of them. And the food at each place was great local fare, enough to count as a hearty lunch. This tour was terrific, better than advertised.
Sara took us off the beaten path to show us small restaurants, which were great. She also showed us other places that were not part of the tour where she needed to shop. Instead of a 3-hour walking food tour, it was an almost 4-hour tour.
Alex was amazing! He knew the owners of the restaurants and shops and made the experience very unique. Highly recommend Alex as a guide!
Loved all the hidden shops and treats.
My family and I enjoyed the walking tour and all the food stops. Sara gave great explanations of the food. She also mixed in architecture and history along the way. An excellent eclectic tour!
We had a very informative and fun tour of Brooklyn, tasting local dishes from local shops that have been in the neighborhood from the past century. Our tour guide was Sara and she was very knowledgeable about the history and the food.
The tour was a great way to get to know the history of the neighborhoods that we travelled through including on that had been a family run place for almost 100 years. A love
Sara was so nice and so knowledgeable. We got lucky with the weather and happily ate our way through Brooklyn. We are natives but had fun like tourists. Totally recommend!
Great tour, lots of history and great food.
Our tour guide was super chill and knowledgeable. Food was great. Also learned a lot about the city
James was so kind and accommodating! We would have never been able to see Brooklyn the same without him. The focus on the historical and family owned businesses was also a special treat! Thank you!
Everything was great except that the tour company never communicated the meeting Location to the guide. Therefore, the official tour emails directed me to a meeting Location different where the tour guide was expecting us.
This tour involves a lot of walking and talking about food but little tasting of the food. For example, we went to a butcher shop that selled kangaroo meat, but we didn't actually get to taste the meat.
Sara was a great host and while we booked the tour to enjoy a food based experience, it was great to hear the history of the Brooklyn precinct and the community connection of the business and their owners. Would highly recommend this tour
Had a great time. Sara was fantastic and very knowledgeable. Great way to explore Brooklyn!
Lots of fun and interesting information.
Sarah is a big nerd, accurately self proclaimed. She brought life into the streets as we moved from destination to destination. Not only was she a wealth of knowledge, she could share that information in a way that was interesting. She is animated and professional. I would definitely go on another tour with her. Thank you Sarah
Nice walking food tour with a little bit of history in Cobble Hills. Lovely local food establishments.
Sara was terrific, combining her knowledge of both food and the history in Cobble Hill. I give her 5 stars. I only rate it 4 stars as I wish on a couple stops we had choices (particularly with the Greek place and the type of topping on our bagel as I’m not a cream cheese fan). Otherwise, it was fun and enjoyed the others on the tour with us.
Tour guide was very wordy…could have condensed this tour to 2 hours. We seemed to be walking in circles. Food choices were just so-so.
Lovely few hours with our group and guide, Sara. Lots of good food at local and long lived establishments. Heard a bit about Brooklyn history. Beautiful neighborhood!
