Oh my goodness! This was such an amazing tour. Absolutely exceeded all our expectations! Thank you so much.
A really excellent tour. We had not been to Brooklyn at all and this was a brilliant introduction to the historic areas with the additional benefit of great food. Difficult to pick a favourite part when we enjoyed it all. Our guide Miriam was simply fantastic; knowledgeable, enthusiastic and engaging. She made the experience even better and went out of her way to make sure everyone both enjoyed the tour and got on their way safely. We would highly recommend the tour and would certainly use the company again for other tours.
Loved every minute of this tour. Greg our guide was brilliant, friendly and very knowledgeable. We picked this tour to get to know Dumbo and get our bearings in Brooklyn, it definitely delivered. The food stops were also really delicious and history behind them made them special. Thanks also to the 3 lovely ladies we shared it with. Great way to spend a few hours.
This was a great tour. The food and the walk through Brooklyn Heights and DUMBO did not disappoint. Our tour guide Megan was very knowledgeable about the area and gave us alot of information only a local would know. This tour is a solid 3 to 3.5 hours depending on your stops. Wear comfortable shoes. Highly recommend.
Great tour! Greg was very knowledgeable about the history of Brooklyn heights and dumbo. We had great food experiences. Highly recommend!
Extremely insightful tour with history, local tidbits and excellent tastings! The walk was wonderful and broken up so it didn't seem long or tiresome. Excellent way to see this part of the city and learn about small businesses, history and architecture along the way.
A fabulous tour made interesting and personalised by the fantastic guide Miriam. Her knowledge, enthusiasm and care to make the experience for all members of our family a delight made it an activity to both remember and recommend.
Greg, our guide, was fantastic! He showed us to great spots to teach us about Brooklyn and its history. He shared interesting stories. The food items we tried were delicious and loved hearing the history of each restaurant.
Merriam was a wonderful tour guide!! Very friendly and knowledgeable! Food was yummy but take note, there is quite a bit on walking on this tour.
We learned a lot. Jacob was great as our tour guide. Maybe use an iPad to show the photos, so they can be better seen.
Lucy Stearns was our guide and she made the experience fun with all her knowledge of local sights. She chose great food options for tasting. I would highly recommend this walking tour as a great way to experience Brooklyn Heights and the Dumbo area.
We had an amazing time. Miss Lucy Sterns was a delight. All our tastings were delicious and will thought out. The views and trivia helped put the experience together. Don't sleep on that pastrami eggroll. Two thumbs up!
Absolutely wonderful tour! If you love history this tour is for you. The food spots were local eats that did not disappoint! The views of the bridge were a bonus!
Had a great day exploring Brooklyn Heights and Dumbo. Great guide. Good photos and good photo opportunities throughout. Highly recommend
Greg really gave us a local insight that showed the immense depth and history within the neighbor. Seeing how the neighborhood had evolved with the historical buildings around it. Exposing us to the local food spots that also carry their own history was a joy to experience. He really showed a massive insight of knowledge of the area and the joy it gave him to share the experience with us
Awesome tour and awesome tour guide. Tour was very informative and the food stops were always tasty.
Brooklyn food tour with Greg or Craig, I can’t remember for sure 😊. He was an incredible tour guide, friendly and knowledgeable. I would love to be able to give him a tip, I didn’t have any cash with me.
I really enjoyed this tour. Miriam was knowledgeable, entertaining and made sure everyone got what they wanted from the tour.
I always like a walking food tour incorporating arts, history, culture and local residents. I went on a private tour with my husband. Our local guide named Lucy was very knowledgeable of histories of buildings, people, food, cultures along the way. Lucy showed us beautiful views of the promenade, three bridges such as Brooklyn, Manhattan and Williamsburg, DUMBO, Manhattan skyline and various local restaurants, cafes, food markets. Throughout the tour, we sampled four food such as everything bagel, Spumoni pizza, pastrami eggroll, and banana bread from a local cafe. At the end of the tour, I was able to walk more than 6,000 steps in the midst of a hot humid August New York City weather. It’s a feat! Thank you, Lucy, from Intrepid for the tour.
Miriam….was FANTASTIC extremely knowledgeable and friendly. She is a foodie and made some fantastic selection for us to try. Listening is a high skill set of Miriam’s answered all of our questions. Overall one the Best tour guides we have had in all our travels in the US and Europe. Thank you…
Miriam was an outstanding guide. Very knowledgeable and did a great job sharing with us in a fun and entertaining way.
To be advised, it is a lot of walking, but the food was great The tour guide was very knowledgeable of the area. She was outstanding. I also give her a five star rating again. She was outstanding. I’m sorry I don’t remember her name.
This was a wonderful tour on a beautiful day given by a friendly, knowledgeable, and very accommodating tour guide. The only thing I would suggest is that the description of the tour should encourage participants to bring their own beverage. We brought our water, which was very helpful for washing down all the yummy food at every stop.
Honestly one of the best city tours we’ve ever taken. Miriam was THE BEST! It’s always a wonderful experience when you can tell someone truly enjoys their job. Miriam was so knowledgeable. The walk was easy and food choices were perfect. She stopped at the best sites and took great photos to boot. Highly recommend this tour. You won’t regret it!
Great place do walk by the River, have some food & drinks, admire the skyline of Manhattan on the other side
Great way to see a lot of Brooklyn! Five different food samples - pizza, bagel, and much more. Tons of history and fun facts about the area that we would never have known otherwise. Greg was a great guide and is extremely professional and thorough, making sure everyone is taken care of and enjoying themselves.
Very good tour. However you don’t go on the bridge. I think they need to be more specific on what types of food you get prior to the tour. All in all, a great tour guide and a well worthy tour.
Great tour. Myriam and John were great guide. So much knowledge of the history of Brooklyn. Food and tour where great!
We got lucky and were in a group that had 2 terrific guides, Mariam and John. We had read a lot of positive reviews and this tour still exceeded our expectations. The walk through Brooklyn Heights side streets lined with Brownstones, to unbelievable views from the Brooklyn promenade, and into Dumbo was great. Oh yeah, food was amazing too.
Miriam was the BEST! Amazing stories and fun for all ages
Wonderful tour ,with history and excellent food!!!!A to do in Brooklyn! Our guide Greg was very kind and interesting !
Wonderful Tour, even in the rain. Great stops including old style New York fare as well as new fusion dishes. Highly recommend touring with Lucy and Miriam😊
Lucy was fantastic, great morning in Dumbo. Wonderful food and sights!
The guide was professional, enthusiastic and knowledgeable. Great tour!
Gregg was amazing! My partner and I absolutely loved this food tour which honestly was even more than I was expecting. Gregg gave us some history of the area, the various cultures that make up the area and the historical significance of the area which was a nice touch for America’s 250 year history that’s origin story started right in Brooklyn New York, formerly new Amsterdam and before that, the indigenous people’s of North America which is where part of my own family history comes from. The food was fantastic. We had a great time sharing culture and perfect small bites. Gregg was mindful about the heat and the needs of our group and made sure we got to everything promised on our 3 hour tour that went by faster than we expected. I could not possibly recommend this tour more. I’m originally from New York, and for the first time in 46 years, I was made an even prouder New Yorker than I’d previously been. Gregg obviously has a number of interests and has deep pride in being a New Yorker whose roots are originally from Peru like so many United States Citizens who come from all over the world. We find a home here and we make our significance known to those who get to experience our presence and many contributions.
Great educational tour about the history of the settlers of NYC and the architecture they built in building their homes.
Alex was nice and interesting. Good tour all around. We learned things we didn’t know about the area.
Lot of walking, but you’re fed well….Tour guide shared many interesting stories. May go again in a few years.
Great experience. Well worth the money. Great information mixed in with the food stops. Lucy was awesome!
Our guide was great and very knowledgeable. She knew a lot about the history of the area She also pointed out many historical houses as we walked. The five places we stopped at to eat were all interesting and the food selections she provided were excellent.
It was a great tour and Dave was very knowledgeable about the history of the bridge as well as New York City. We were able to move at our own pace and Dave answered all of our questions and made sure we didn't have more questions before moving on. Dave also gave us timely warnings of some of the scams that might occur in New York.
Brian is a relaxed genial host with great knowledge of the local area. He set a good pace and relaxed atmosphere and tailored the food tastings to each of the part. Would definitely recommend. Dont eat beforehand!
This is my first time in NYC. The walking tour was a Great way to have a unique experience with local foods & sights in Brooklyn. The guide gave very interesting insights and details of the area and buildings. Beautiful day, thank you!
This was a great tour with Brian. The food at every stop was amazing and we got to try a wide variety. We heard stories about each place and the history of Brooklyn too. We left feeling very full. Brian was engaging, knowledgeable and a fun guide. Would highly recommend!
Megan was absolutely the best tour guide anyone could hope for!!! She was so knowledgeable, funny and kind. This tour gave us an excellent feel for Brooklyn heights on Dumbo. The food was fantastic and plentiful (Despite some of the reviews...If you're going to be put off by having to split a giant bagel with your buddy, because you're going to get to eat a bunch of other stuff, then don't get this tour 🙄. We were STUFFED). DON'T THINK TWICE. DO ITTTTTT.
Our guide, Bryan, was great! He was full of energy and knowledge. He didn't rush us even when we got behind. The views where amazing!
Amazing food! Friendly and lively guide! Highly recommended.
Lucy was amazing. Such a fun vibrant gal with interesting tid bits of history knowledge. I would recommend this tour 100%
Lucy was very knowledgable and a lot of fun! A great tour of local sights and food spots. Highlights were the Sicilian square pizza and the guava croissant. 100% would recommend 👌🏻
