Tours can be wildy different experiences. This ebike guided tour of Central Park with Fancy Apple was outstanding. Darryl is a dynamo guide! He is truly an expert and connoisseur of the park. It was safe, we actually felt guided. It was incredibly informative, we learned so much about the park and its history. It was fun, we laughed and really enjoyed our time with Darryl who was warm and welcoming. Don't delay, get this one booked.

This was an incredible tour. Don’t miss this tour of Central Park on a bike. JJ was an encyclopedia of information and showed us so much. He took his time with us and made sure we saw the maximum of views. Wound up being a private tour and we appreciated his attention. The guys at the shop were helpful and upbeat! We tour a lot of cities and this one was in the top of experiences.

I am so glad I chose to do the bike tour of Central Park rather than just bike around myself. Our guide brought everything to life for us. He was extremely knowledgeable and gave us a history, past and present, of what we were looking at. It gave me a hunger to learn more. It was fun and so interesting. When we returned, I hired a bike for the afternoon and had a great few hours seeing further sights without extensive walking. Everyone was very friendly and helpful. Highly recommend.

Horrible service! We showed up for the guided tour of Central Park only to find out they did not have a guide. Apparently the bike shop didn’t take the time to look at their bookings for the day and then they made the excite the guide called in sick. They offered to let us use 2 bikes to ride around Central Park. In keeping with their lack of service both bikes needed repair and were in pretty bad condition. On top of that at no time did they offer us helmets. That was problematic as I was with my 14 year old grandson. I will be seeking a refund from trip advisor. I do not recommend this company at all!

Have been to NYC and visited Central Park many times but you only see so much when you are walking. This two hour tour was amazing seeing the full extent of the park. Our guide Martin was fantastic giving us lots of information. Would highly recommend this tour and company

Great experience! We had a tour with JJ on electric bikes. He was able to share facts, keep us on the right paths, and made sure to stop at many notable places! We were able to take photos and explore. Before the tour, they made sure all of us were comfortable on the bikes, had water, and outfitted us with free helmets (required for under 18, optional for the adults). Staff was polite and very helpful. We booked directly through the Fancy Apple website.

My 13-year-old daughter and I did a 2-hour guided bike tour with Luke today. Luke was very knowledgeable and told us all sorts of interesting facts about the park, its history and the buildings and landmarks. It was really fun and we visited parts of the park we would not have found on our own. The bikes were comfortable and in good condition and the cycling was easy. 2 hours flew by! Highly recommended.

Truly excellent experience! Our tour guide was Darrell, and he was outstanding - friendly, knowledgable, flexible with the schedule, and just fun and a genuinely good guy. We rented solid Trek bikes which were great. Highly recommend!

Bikes we're not in great shape, balding tires, shifter not working, etc.; no set up or making sure bikes fit prior to leaving. Guide wasn't super knowledgeable- would say something about a building or site and then say "or something like that" or "I'm not sure.". No speaker or headset, could not hear anything the guide was saying until you stopped. Only did about half of the famous landmarks. Beautiful day though and gave us enough of an experience that next time we'll just rent bikes somewhere else and go through at our own pace.

Nice guys. Jay Jay was our guide. He was smiley and gave us a great tour. We had an easy pace with the bikes and he showed us many interesting places and information. Had we gone alone, we would just bike around aimlessly. He made it a beautiful experience. It was very easy to book the tour and the store is in a convenient location and very easy to find. The bikes in very good condition and we were offered helmet and complimentary bottle of water at the end of the tour. Would totally recommend it

We've just finished our bike tour of Central park.Our guide Martin was excellent and full of knowledge and really friendly.The staff in the shop were really helpful too as we managed to change our original tour date because of the bad weather forecast which was so good.I will definitely be recommending Fancy apple tours to friends and family back home in the UK especially Martin our guide , he just made the tour extra special .Thanks again.

Felt rushed on collection - 2 bikes, one had a chain fall off twice in the first hour and 2nd on low ratio would not work uphill - cog obviously stripped. On return, apology but no offer of compensation - even when shown amount of grease on hands.

DO THIS TOUR - simple as!! We arrived early, not a problem. Filled a waiver and left some ID as security, were offered helmets (declined and glad we did, it was hot) My wife’s bike seat kept slipping down, no problem they changed the bike at our first stop. JJ our guide stopped off at various places, explained a little about it, then let us have time to wander take photo’s and make memories. Going at an easy pace, nothing was rushed, took a little longer than booked, not a problem. Thoroughly enjoyed it and 100% recommend it.

Excellent guide… he knew so much NYC history! He had an answer for each of our many questions, and was very good at telling the stories surrounding the park’s construction and evolution. A highlight of our NYC visit.

I had booked and paid for a two-hour guided tour. Upon arrival, I was unexpectedly informed that I needed to pay an additional US$7.85 for insurance, which was not mentioned on their website. I felt I had no choice but to pay to proceed with the tour. They then requested ID. As an Australian, the only physical ID I had was my passport, which was secured in my hotel safe. I was able to provide a copy on my phone, which they reluctantly accepted. Finally, they demanded a US$200.00 deposit. At this point, I was ready to cancel the tour, as I was not comfortable with the prospect of trusting them to refund the deposit to my credit card. Fortunately, the tour guide intervened and helped to resolve the situation. None of these additional charges or requirements (insurance, ID, or deposit) were disclosed on their booking website. This lack of transparency and the unexpected demands created a very negative impression. I would strongly advise against using this particular company for Central Park bicycle tours. I found their practices to be dishonest and their staff rude. There are other reputable bicycle tour operators in Central Park, and I recommend choosing one of them instead.

The meeting spot is a bike shop just south of Central Park. The tour guide is super friendly. The bikes were very janky (no kickstand, super heavy bikes and hard to pedal). We got to see all the highlights of the park. We stopped at a couple spots and got 5-10 minutes to explore. There were two times where we biked up small hills and it would’ve been nice to have an e-bike. I would recommend this tour if you’re short on time and want to see highlights of the park.

While our tour guide Darrell was fantastic, the operation at fancy tours is really lacking. One guy seemed like he hadn’t gone to bed and didn’t know what was going on, another guy was just rude and un welcoming. We paid for the ebike and e-scooter tour because we read that other places mix regular bikes with e-bikes and you end up waiting for the slower bikers and don’t get to see much. Well our group had regular bikers so we ended up not seeing as much and waiting some. Also the regular bikers were late, so we had to wait on them to even start our tour. Bikes were fine but not in great condition. Next time I would look for another company with better customer service if I did it again.

Nice tour for a Sunday afternoon. Enthusiastic tour guide, who liked to talk about himself but okay. Did have to pay on top 3.99$ per person insurance where we picked up our bike.

My husband and I were in NYC for a few days and Central Park was definitely a must see. We thought about renting a bike or scooter on our own, but decided on a guided tour instead and I am really glad we did! The place is huge and having someone show you around and knowing where you can and cannot ride the bikes is clutch. You also get the most out of your time. I really wanted to see the Balto statue and our wonderful tour guide, JJ, made it happen. He was so kind and knowledgeable and made our time really enjoyable. it's so nice getting all the tidbits of history we'd never know on our own. If you're worried about a bike tour in colder weather, don't be!! there's never bad weather, just poor clothing choices! dress for the weather and DO IT!

Great location for bike pick up, right next to the park so little to no traffic concerns. The bikes were adequate for the tour, you can upgrade to electric bike or scooter for $10 per hour extra, I took the scooter and really enjoyed the experience, the wife opted for the bike and wished she had got the scooter. Our guide was a delightful engaging you lady who had good knowledge of the park and communicated very well on the numerous stops. However we could not hear a word she said when cycling along, unless you were right behind. I would recommend the tour and would use this company again. Didn’t feel like a 5 out 5 experience but pretty close.

Martin was the BEST tour guide ever! So thorough with everything. Had everyone’s safety in mind the whole time. He was so knowledgeable and has a true passion for Central Park!! Made our day!!
