While I have known I liked Art Deco buildings more than others, I was never able to articulate why. Jeremy’s tour, in addition to showing wonderful architecture, also helped me understand what is it about them I like. A great tour that includes both the most famous examples of Art Deco in New York and some lesser known ones I was not aware of.

I took the Art Deco tour on a beautiful spring morning. The building looks amazing in the sunlight as Jeremy explained the history and style of Art Deco in New York City. We saw some of the greatest skyscrapers from the 1920s and 1930s, including the Chanin Building, the Chrysler Building, and the General Electric Building. Jeremy’s narrative was interesting and compelling, the pace was comfortable, and his supplemental images were very useful. I am a art and architectural historian, but I still learned so much and saw many details I had overlooked. Highly recommended!

Jeremy was a wonderful tour guide that pointed out amazing details about the art deco era in architecture and the many buildings in NYC that were built and have remained for years. The Empire State Building, the Chrysler Building , Rockefeller Plaza. Jeremy points out the detail of these buildings that you might have never seen as you have visited in the past .

Jeremy has a great knowledge of the NY Art Deco architecture. We learned about the thinking of owners, architects and builders and how they reflected the times between the two world wars. We also considered the building’s budgets and the sources of the building materials. The tour moved fast and covered a lot of ground. We had a great time, highly recommended.

I am a history enthusiast and lover of all things Art Deco. Getting to do a tour of iconic landmarks in Midtown Manhattan with an experienced and knowledgeable guide (Jeremy) was wonderful. Not only did Jeremy discuss the big ones (Chrysler Building, Empire State), but he also talked about some of the lesser known buildings and the history of the style. Getting to go inside some of these buildings was an amazing experience, like stepping back in time. Jeremy was also able to answer my questions about some non-Art Deco buildings!

NYC is full of art deco but I'm a first time visitor to this city with little idea where to start to see it. This tour was exceptional and a brilliant journey into some of the cities finest examples. Jeremy's knowledge and passion took us into the art deco history and architecture in the centre of the city and the tour met all my expectations. We loved getting to learn more in depth information about the history of each building and the philosophies behind the design of each space. I have pretty bad knees and I worried about whether it would be too much—for me it wasn’t. Our leader, Jeremy, did a good job of allowing our group to set the pace. If you need to sit, though, there aren’t many opportunities for that. I really liked the flow of the tour, and the buildings are absolutely gorgeous and fascinating.

This tour is a great introduction to Art Deco and the architecture of midtown NYC. If you're new to the city it helps you better understand the area, it's history and how to get around. Jeremy lights up when he's talking about his passion and he took us into buildings we wouldn't have experienced otherwise. There are a ton of interesting fun facts! The learning is accessible regardless of your knowledge base and the walk is flat. My wife and I had a fantastic time and we highly recommend this tour and Jeremy!

Extremely interesting tour! Money well spent. It was extremely interesting to learn about the history and architecture of that part of New York. The guide showed us so many interesting details! He was very knowledgable, was able to answer all the questions and seemed very much into the topic. I highly recommend. A hint for my fellow European travellers: prepare cash for the tip. I totally forgot about that but by the end of the tour I regretted not being able to show my appreciation. And another tip: if you can't book for one person through their website, contact them and they can provide another link ( I guess only if there is already someone else who signed up for the same day but still).
