It was a very educational and thorough experience. Our personal guide, Evan was fantastic. He was knowledgeable, excellent in leading tour to our pace and answered all questions, & taking pictures for us, etc. He had lots of facts to share about the neighborhoods.

Our tour guide Evan was great! We explored soho, Little Italy and Chinatown. He told us about the current neighborhoods, architecture, history, culture, and had some interesting stories. We lucked out because no one else booked that afternoon so it was just our family of 5. It was a fabulous way to see an area of the city that we don't normally visit. Everyone had a great time- from grandma to the tweenager, visitors and true New Yorkers, we all enjoyed the tour.
Verena, our tour guide was fantastic! She was friendly, very knowledgeable, full of interesting stories about the neighborhoods, and answered all of our questions. We highly recommend Experience First walking tour of SoHo, Little Italy, and Chinatown.
Excellent. Fun tour of Chinatown and Little Italy
This was an awesome tour I learned about architecture, social changes, and fun story’s of many of NYC’s neighborhoods. Ferdinand was my guide and his shining personality made me feel excited about asking questions and he was ready to answer them. The tour was the perfect length and I felt like I had made new friends and connected over the new knowledge we shared. I would definitely recommend this tour and Ferdinand as it was such a joy !
Good coverage of three neighborhoods that I was unfamiliar with, especially Chinatown. Our tour guide was knowledgeable and made for a fun afternoon!
Francesca was amazing, kind and very knowledgeable! I would recommend her services to anyone. She was attentive to our needs and answered all of our questions with patience and a friendly attitude.
Growing up in the suburbs of NYC I thought I knew a lot but boy the things I learned from our great guide Michael! The tour was filled with many interesting facts & stories.. I strongly recommend this tour and Top Dog Tours NYC for their knowledgeable staff! Looking forward to our next tour!!
Our guide Patrick was very knowledgeable about all the 3 neighborhoods that we visited. He was particularly good at explaining the history of each area. He was the best!!!
Connor was very knowledgeable, and very personable. The tour was great, and Connor has a good sense of humor! There was plenty of time on the tour to grab a snack or look around at optimum locations. I highly recommend this tour for an intimate look at this part of New York!
Madeline was so sweet, personable, & knowledgeable! We had been looking forward to this tour all week, Madeline made the experience really fun & interesting!!
Tour guide was on time & withstood the rain. Tour guide was very informed and was able to answer all of our random questions.
Maddie was an excellent tour guide! My 8 year old loved the tour and said “she was sooo nice!” It was good to get an overview of the neighborhoods with some historic details before exploring on our own. Would definitely recommend to anyone on their first visit to this part of NYC!
Very nice and personalized tour. Lots of good stories and history along the way. It was a daytime tour and got us oriented with the neighborhoods for follow-on nighttime visits.
Our tour was awesome! My sister and I were greeted by Maddie and enjoyed our own private tour of SOHO, Little Italy, and Chinatown. I had been to Little Italy and Chinatown years prior, but it was so much more interesting and fun being guided by someone knowledgeable about the area. Maddie is an exceptional guide...personable with many stories about people and buildings in the area, past and present. We thoroughly enjoyed our time in this part of the city! Stopping for croinuts and cookie shots at Dominique Ansel Bakery and cannolis at Ferrara's was a tasty bonus! We went back to eat in Little Italy following the tour. We would highly recommend this tour. You won't regret it!
Loved our tour guide Joel. Very knowledgeable and professional. He made the tour fun. Will highly recommend him to anyone participating in these tours
Patrick was an AMAZING tour guide! This tour was way better than expected. Highly recommend this company. …also recommend requesting Patrick. Thank you tor an awesome experience … we learned so much! Fun time. We went back and several stops after our tour. Lots of fun!
the lack if energy and enthusiasm by the tour guide really took away from the experience . the places were interesting but the experience was not great
We could not have asked for a better tour guide. Joel was informative, interesting, and enthusiastic. As a graduate from Columbia University in theater arts, parents who are history teachers, the tour was filled with interesting historical facts, personal anecdotes, tied in with steps of our tour. His tour was more like a family friend proudly showing us the town than a paid tour with a planned out spiel; I could not have asked for a better guide. Book the tour, ask for Joel. You will not be disappointed.
Joel was an incredible tour guide. He was very knowledgeable, personable and fun! This tour, and Joel, exceeded our expectations!
We enjoyed our tour with Brianna, she had the best energetic attitude! We enjoyed the sites we visited and the information she was able to provide. SOHO and little Italy are neat! Thanks again for a great tour!
Excellent Tour! Thanks Fran for been a good tour guide. It was really educative. The vibes, food, the history as well as the cultural interactions of the 3 neighbourhoods were well articulated and delivered.
Our guide Patrick was very entertaining, informative and helpful with lots of historical and contemporary information. We ended up a little over two hours after so many questions and discussions. Definitely recommended. Easy walking and thoroughly interesting.
Our guide on this great tour was Francesca, a very engaging young lady from Italy. She was very entertaining and knew a great deal about these parts of Manhattan. We really enjoyed our tour with Fran and highly recommend it for anyone! Bob an Laura.
Francesca provided a fabulous tour. She was so personable and the mix of history and local stories made this tour one of my favorites. Also, being from Rome she gave very interesting perspectives on the Little Italy. She recommended two locally owned stores where I got marinara sauces and homemade pasta. I highly recommended Francesca and this tour.
Fran was a fantastic tour guide - it’s was sooo hot but she managed to pace it so we could see everything but have a few breaks too.
Piper was a great tour guide! She was very knowledgeable, kept a great pace, and was helpful in pointing out places to try food in Little Italy and Chinatown. With such a small group, we were able to ask questions and really enjoy the tour. Thanks, Piper & Top Dog Tours! We will definitely recommend to our friends visiting NYC!
Outstanding guide, very knowledgeable , history buff, and a nice tour leader. Covered the three districts well and with enthusiasm
Luke our guide was amazing and super knowledgable. The tour was informative and gave us time to survey our surroundings and also gave us time to buy things along the way!
Excellent guide, great way to learn about NYC with story telling and historical tour thru neighborhoods narrative. Packed with information, enjoyable pace with time to sample local treats. Highly recommend!!
Our tour guide, Connor, was very personable, however we were hoping for some more factual information about architecture and history. The stories shared were a bit long winded (ie the well in the basement of the federalist style building). A quicker story would have allowed for more information on other spots. Connor shared with us that it was his first time doing this particular trip so I would assume he was given the script so we did not hold him responsible. The ipad used to share some historical photos was cracked and difficult to see. The tour exposed us to new neighborhoods, however information was lacking.
Liz was an amazing tour guide very knowledgeable and had great information. Was nice seeing the various parts of the city.
Our Tour was disappointing. Our guide seemed stoned. He stopped at some places and gave us some insights about the area. But he kept talking to a minimum and there was a lot of „quiet time“ during the walk. He there where multiple unnecessary breaks. We went in a Buddhist temple. He didn‘t ask the staff if that‘s ok or explained anything. We felt like we interrupted people while praying. Basically we had a quiet expensive stroll around SoHo, Little Italy and Chinatown that we could have had for free with GoogleMaps.
Great walking tour. Our guide Rory was very professional, friendly, and knowledgeable. The 3 neighborhood walking tour is totally worth the time and money.
Gabi was amazing, very informative and friendly. We really enjoyed our tour and would highly recommend 👌
Gabi was an excellent tour guide. She had such an upbeat personality, and she knew some much information on each place she took us. My 3rd trip to NYC and I learned so much new information and history.
Gabi is the best tourguide, very knowledgeable of the area, its history and anecdotes. Made the 2 hour tour very enjoyable !!
Luke was simply amazing by providing plenty of interesting information and fun facts about these three neighborhoods. We enjoyed every bit of the walking tour - a must do in New York when you have 2 hours to spare.
I went on this tour with my 10 year old son. Rory was absolutely amazing! He knew so much history of the area. You could feel his love and knowledge of the city. He took extra special time to connect with my son and really made this tour one of the highlights of our trip.
Awesome tour with our tour guide John. Lot's of information. Thank you so much for all your storys and recommendations.
Although the guide was knowledgeable and friendly, he rushed us through the tour, both my friend and I had trouble keeping up with him therefore we didn't get a chance to take photos. When I have just seen the itinerary on TripAdvisor I now also realize that we didn't do half the things listed. We didn't have any of the stops that are list except for a short one in Little Italy. The following are places listed on the itinerary that we didn't visit, Alleva Dairy, Da Gennaro, Fervara Bakery and Columbus Park, Buddhist Temple. All we saw of Chinatown was a street with lanterns hanging across the road. I feel very disappointed about the places that we missed, especially the Temple and Columbus Park
Very interesting - glad to find out more information about Soho, Little Italy and Chinatown. Thanks Josh
Claire was an excellent guide and introduced us to the neighborhoods with so much information and stories. From the cronut to Little Italy’s cannolis to blood alley in Chinatown, we learned so much and had alot of fun. Thanks Claire and Alex for making the tour so special.
As lovely as our tour guide was, the information we got on the tour was dull. I could have googled the information myself. Soho - all we learned was the real estate prices of the neighborhood. We barely found out anything about the history of little Italy or culture. Chinatown - we visited a beautiful Buddhist temple, and got some restaurant recommendations. That was it. I was disappointed. As mentioned, we had the nicest tour guide but, the whole tour wasn't interesting.
Great tour with great stories - alot of them Ive never heard about. John was a wonderful tour guide!
Tour guide was pretty quiet and didn’t seem to know the neighborhoods very well. We walked through little Italy in a few minutes and only stopped at the welcome sign without any mention of what we were looking at.
Nicole was an amazing guide and the tour was excellent. I’m not able to walk very fast but the tour was at a great pace. It had really interesting info, great picture opportunities, and the break in Little Italy was the perfect amount of time to walk around and grab a cannoli. Would highly recommend!
Luke was great knowledgeable about these areas and he doesn’t rush. Great tour guide. He has other tours and hope to catch another sometime
This was such a fun and very interesting tour! Our tour guide, Luke, was extremely knowledgeable and gave us tons of great food recommendations in the neighborhoods. We loved Wo Hop (downstairs) for lunch. I would definitely take another tour with Top Dog Tours.
The history and our knowledgeable guide. It was good exercise too. Chinattown was really cool and I’ve been to New York many times and never made it down to this area
