I checked in yesterday and it’s been great so far. The front desk staff was very helpful and was able to accommodate my room request. The room is quite spacious. The in room coffee set up is perfect. I like my room quite cool and the a/c control like me adjust it to my desired temperature. Finally, the hotel gym is amazing. I’ve been traveling for 35 years and this is the best hotel gym I’ve ever used. I highly recommend the Westin when staying in Buffalo.

First time visiting Buffalo and the Westin. Beautiful hotel! Easy check in and parking. A couple onsite spots to eat/drink conveniently. Everyone was super nice and courteous. The bed and pillows were lush and super comfy. Loved that I could turn the temp down to 60 degrees to keep the room as cold as possible. I especially loved the rainfall shower. Water pressure was perfect as well. Got 3 great nights of sleep.
The Westin Buffalo is an absolutely beautiful hotel. The property is gorgeous, and my room was beautiful, comfortable, and very well appointed. My only real disappointment was the housekeeping service. No one came to make up my room during the day, and by the second day I had run out of toilet paper and had to call the front desk to request more. I will say, they have a robot that delivers items to your room, which was actually really cool and a nice touch! I mentioned to the front desk that no one had come to service my room or make the bed. It wasn’t until around 8:00 PM, when I was already settling in for the night, that someone came by to make up the room. At that point, I declined because I was already comfortable and didn’t want to have to leave my room while it was being cleaned. For the price you’re paying to stay at a hotel like the Westin, I would expect daily housekeeping to be part of the experience—or, at the very least, for it to be clearly communicated if you need to request it. Having to call for basic necessities like toilet paper was disappointing for a hotel at this price point. Overall, the hotel itself is absolutely beautiful and I enjoyed my stay. With more consistent housekeeping service, the experience would have been much better.
Beautiful hotel located downtown. Rooms are spacious and well put together. Service is fast and attentive. The tea bar, dog and kids treat station at check-in is awesome. Bathroom is spacious, very well put together as well. The gym and sauna are great and well equipped. As good as it gets for a Westin !
Nearly two weeks in an executive suite, and most of it was genuinely good. The room was generally large (although smaller than expected), and bright, and the full-size fridge, dishwasher, and sink make a real difference on a long stay. Staff were attentive day to day. Two caveats. The building also houses a US government department, so expect occasional noise from protesters downstairs. More seriously: when a change in plans meant booking an extension, we asked to keep the same room. The front desk guaranteed it, which was confirmed in writing. On the last night of the first booking I checked once more, and only then did they say no, we had to move out. We had a Niagara Falls day trip planned and would not have been there to check out, so the evening after I finished my exams, which was supposed to be for unwinding, went to packing up the suite instead. If I had taken their repeated assurances at face value, our belongings would have been sitting in a room we no longer had. To their credit, the hotel gave us a discount on the second stay, and I appreciated the gesture. But I would much rather have kept the room we were promised. Three stars: the suite, the day-to-day service, and the acknowledgment keep this from going lower, but a promise that does not hold even in writing is a serious problem in a hotel.
